You can walk around the base of the dam or take the trip up to the top to see the water and view from above. There are steps you can climb on either side and one side also has a paved inclined path that's stroller friendly. Either option is definitely a workout, especially the steps, but it's worth it for the views at the top. You can walk across the entire dam and capture some nice photos. There are convenient public restrooms in the park. You can also connect to the Bronx River Parkway walking/biking trail, which is fully paved. They have a ton of festivals and cultural events throughout the year. Parking is free. Lovely Westchester gem.

This park is SO lovely. While there we saw ducks, frogs, goats... Some took the train from Manhattan and an Uber to the park from there. If you drive it is only $6 to park. There are restrooms and water fountains in the main parking lot. Bring a bag to keep any garbage! In this park there are no trash cans, you take out what you bring in.

There are no placards with information either, so it's not very educational. Some of the trees and plants are labeled, so you get a bit of a botanical gardens experience as well. I'm not sure if there's another entrance to this park, but the main entrance features a nice sized parking lot, picnic tables, small boat rental area and the dock to the pond. Don't be fooled by the pond- you can't take the plunge as there's no swimming allowed- plus it's filled with lily pads and other plant life. Boat rentals only take place Saturdays and Sundays for a small fee and a Westchester County Park Pass isn't required to enter. For boat rental however, you do get a leg up on savings with your pass. Any other info, check online. We claimed a picnic table to enjoy our pastries and played cards under the teees. This was a nice spot to wind down- just be sure to respect Nature and the area where you are and keep it clean.

Views of the Tappan Zee bridge and Hudson River are unavoidable which is a very good thing. Decent amount of walking paths and benches, in addition to the dedicated picnic area. Plenty of parking although it is paid via the Tarrytown parking app. Playgrounds are a bit dated but in great shape. Everything has soft, spongy ground around it. Good variety for different ages too. Haven't done the splash pad yet because it's winter but it is pretty sizable. Good amount of kids around here without it being overwhelming. Maybe not the most built up park in the area, but my toddler loves it and so do I.

I've also gotten to enjoy the playground as a kid with my parents and younger cousins and enjoying the view of the pond. I loved spending the day at the pool the other day. The weather was great, and I even got the chance to enjoy the snack bar, even though I got Taki dust in my eye. That hurt. The pool has always been a peaceful place, and I was even asked if I would like to try out for the local swim team a while back because the swim coach just happened to be there on the same day. Going to this park has always been one of the best highlights of Bedford Hills for me.

We love your (meticulously maintained) basketball court. We love your sweet little pondside location. We love that you're located right near the Metro North railway so we can watch trains go by and wave. Son #1 is in heaven when that happens. We love that we can all run around in the grass and not have to worry about stepping in geese poopie. Seriously -- high fives on that one. In short, we love you so, Bedford Park. You've got everything in one sweet little kiddie oasis. You make my little men shriek with delight...and who am I kidding..me too! :o)

They're easy to walk and follow, with some viewpoints. However, due to the many leaves, most views aren't the greatest. Even though that's the case, it's still worth checking out the trail. Many other alternatives exist, including basketball, baseball, tennis, a playground, and the Tea House lodge, which the park recreation can be reached out to for events. I'm thrilled with the options offered. For the community and beyond, this is a beautiful park to visit.

This little park is a Mt Kisco resident location but we were somehow able to sneak in without a problem. There's plenty of benches, picnic tables, a pond with a pretty fountain, basketball courts, baseball fields, walking trails, you have it all! They even have wood available for fire pits. Dogs are welcome on a leash! It's an easy little park to get some nature time and fresh air in. A park for inspiration
