I received a bird bath in the mail only 4 days I ordered it but unfortunately it was cracked. I contacted GDF and their customer service team was absolutely wonderful. Not only did they offer several different options to replace my bird bath, but we're extremely friendly and apologetic for my inconvenience. So I ordered a set of dining room chairs online hoping I would receive before Thanksgiving. I did receive them a couple days before, but once I assembled them they would not sit on floor flat (both of them), so I called company right away and was told they would send me new legs for them. Each chair had two legs built in to the back but had to put on the two front ones. So of course it would be a few days as they would have to take legs out of another carton. Ok so on Tuesday evening I receive a knock on door at 845pm and when I opened door, there was a package. I opened it up and there were only two legs and both of them were cracked. 2+2=4 and again each chair took two so why was I only sent two and they were cracked. I then emailed customer support and of course they apologized and wanted to send out more legs. I told them I have no more time to waste on defective product and was told they can send a shipping label and have them picked up and returned or I could take to ups or FedEx. On the box it said can be returned to home depot. So why did customer support not know this or is it the way of the company wasting people's time. I CAN NOT BELEIVE THAT WHOMEVER PULLED LEGS OUT OF BOX DID NOT SEE CRACKS OR DID NOT CARE. ALSO ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THEY WERE DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING AS THEY WERE WRAPPED AND WRAPPED AND WRAPED WITH BUBBLE WRAP! STAY AWAY!!! read more

This was a great find for furniture at bargain prices right in our own neighborhood. We've been shopping for patio furniture for a while and everything was so overpriced. GDF popped up on a Google search. Otherwise we never would have found it since it's not on a main road. They have a lot of inventory on their warehouse and access to ordering anything from their online catalog. What was such a great deal was that anything in their catalog was discounted 15% if you wanted delivery or 30% if you picked it up. Many items in the store on the floor were 50% off. They guys were very friendly and helpful. When we're ready to add more, we'll definitely be going back. read more

I ordered the Coral Bay 7 pc outdoor chat set, I am very impressed with the quality and the set was easy to assemble. I was bothered with the 21-day shipping as that is an eternity nowadays with so many doing overnight. I do understand after talking to them that this is a Fed X thing and would make it ship sooner if they could but at this time it's up to 21 days. So I did get all my items within 21 days and no longer do I think they are a fly by night operation, be patient as you will get your stuff. read more

Ordered my small side table online and it took over a month to arrive. Was packaged poorly and arrived broken (no damage to the exterior box at all). I've contacted GDF asking for either a refund or to send me a new part. No response. I wish I would've read through their Google reviews before I ordered. We're past the days of being able to blame Covid for poor customer service, they just have poor customer service... period. You're taking a chance when you order from here. I purchased a product from this company back on April 19th, 2020, not even a whole year old at this point and it cost $1,115. I bought it through Home Depot online. It was a 4 piece outdoor patio set. To date 3 of the pieces have broken(see pictures). About 8 months ago the first piece broke so they sent me a new one(fine whatever that's great) and since I took the pieces out of my shed from the winter(Yes they were stored in a safe location since I live in the Northeast) about 2 weeks ago 2 more pieces have broken. Home Depot(who is also to blame for this) directed me to them since they wouldn't refund me because its out of return date. So I asked the company GDF Studio for a full refund or a new, sturdier patio set since this one was clearly a piece of crap and they told me I had to contact Home Depot. They have no problem sending me new pieces but I spent $1,100 for a premium furniture set not for something I need to keep replacing parts of. I am not usually a person who posts on these websites but this needed to be known. read more

I purchased the Louise Outdoor Acacia Wood Rocking Chairs from GDF Studio through Amazon.com. First, the positives: - The chairs were delivered quickly - The chairs were packed well, with plenty of padding to protect the wood - The chairs were easy to assemble (we used additional wood glue in each screw hole) - The colors are as pictured - The design is beautiful and all edges are nicely sanded Now, the downsides: - The rock on the chairs is a bit shallow - The cushion is not very thick...I will probably need to replace it in a couple of years. - I do not believe the wood is coated/treated for outdoor use. They feel like they are only treated with a wood stain. I attempted to get an answer via email to customer service as to whether or not they are coated with a weather protection layer (such as spar urethane), and after around 7 back and forth emails, the only answer I received was a link to a website that told me how to care for acacia wood. Every time I emailed, I asked a very specific question and the only answer I received was "It's just for general wood protection." Here were my questions from my multiple emails: What type of finishing do these have on them for outdoor wood protection?/Does this mean that there is not a protective coating outside of the stain on the wood?/ I would still like to know exactly how these chairs are finished. Our other outdoor wood furniture has a protective coating (spar urethane or poly urethane) and if these are uncoated, I will need to coat them before placing them outside./When you say "it's just for general wood protection," of what are you speaking? What is just for general wood protection? The wood stain? Or is there something else on top of the stain? - In the informational website I was sent as the reply for customer service, I found this information: "Acacia outdoor furniture requires annual care. Some more refined woods such as teak and cedar have substantial amounts of oil in the wood that protects them from the harsh outdoors. Acacia lacks some of those protective oils. You may need to stain or repaint your furniture once a year." Just a heads up before buying these with the expectation that they are pre-coated. - For the price I paid for outdoor furniture, I would have appreciated having them ready for outdoor use. Now I need to spend more money and time to coat them for outdoor use. If anyone from the company can provide me with more specific information on how the wood on these chairs was treated, I will be happy to revise my review. Until then, I'm off to buy some protective coating for my new "outdoor" chairs... read more

I have ordered two recliners from GDF Studio and I could not be more happy with these purchases. I was looking for something inexpensive (both under $200). The recliners were simple to put together (did both of them myself). I wanted a low profile recliner because I don't like those giant overstuffed jobs that instantly date your surroundings. I will say that if you are a larger person, these recliners are not for you. My husband is probably about 5'8" and his shoulders reach the top of the recliner. I am a peanut and my neck sticks above the top of the back of the recliner. So this should give you an idea of how small scale they are. But I was very happy with how fast they shipped (two different locations) and they came in excellent condition. read more

The wife wanted outdoor seating, and up until now i bought used cast metal stuff. But she no like, saids they are ugly and hurts her back side. So we looked around, my lord, is this stuff expensive. As much as my indoor furniture or more in some instances. Way out of our price range. I googled around, and found GDF studio, what a place. Big warehouse full of decent looking stuff. Whicker or metal framed with cushions. Very good price point, luckily we were in the truck and loaded her up. 4 piece set- 2 person sofa, two chairs and a matching table- $300. Gosh damn thats good. Wife got a blk/wht striped chair-25 bucks. I went back to pick up the blk n wht, and bought a second matching couch-100 dollars. Oh boy, the misses and the kids have spent days out there now. My bench and table top got delivered damaged, the costumer service is pretty slow to reply and I have been waiting for my table top replacement for 3 weeks. I contacted FEDEX because GDF told me it was FEDEX delay and the carrier company told me GDF never delivered the package to them! So who knows when I will this table. read more

Unfortunately I bought 3 umbrella base with this company They advertised them as stainless steel square 66 lbs umbrella base but they aren't They are a metallic flame filled with concrete or granite The only thing they have from stainless steel is the color . I bought a mid century modern walnut dining table and six chairs from them. We were in the middle of remodeling our house so didn't open the boxes right away. A terminal illness in the family stalled our remodel for a few months and by the time I opened the boxes, I realized three of the six chairs were broken in the boxes. I know it was my fault for not opening them right away (the set came in four different boxes) but I surely didn't expect three chairs to be broken. When I reached out to customer service they basically said there was nothing they could do, it was past warranty. The email they sent was filled with exasperation and she said for me not to get my hopes up but to send pictures and she'd submit it, but that this didn't mean I would get anything out of it (which I didn't). Just seemed like an odd email that felt like she dealt with a lot of people writing about broken product. Again- I realize it is my fault for not checking the product, but when they asked for pictures I sent them and you could clearly see the chairs were with the original box and still taped together and disassembled. I guess I thought their customer service could AT LEAST pretend to care and let me know if there was any recommendations on how to fix their broken chairs. Or send me the one part of the chair that was broken (just one of the legs on each chair). It's that tiny bit of extra that makes the difference in good customer service. I am just heartbroken to have spent a good deal of money on this set that can't be used. I give a three star rating because I love the table and three usable chairs and it really isn't their fault I waited to open the boxes. But I give only three stars because their customer service could be improved greatly. And solely based on their customer service, I would never shop here again. read more

This company produces and sells cheap garbage for their home furniture. They do not stand by their products and their customer service is non existent. We bought a reclining chair through them and after only several months of gentle use, one of the back supports (internal to the chair) broke. We will never buy anything from them again. GDF advertises a discount weekend sale (from 9-4pm) on their website; however, on two separate occasions (one on a Friday & one on a Saturday) I drove down to their store and both times they were closed. Ugh! So disappointed and frustrated! False advertising...plus I can't get anybody on the phone either. I was bummed because they have a lot of cute things on their website but wanted to see the furniture in person. I ended up taking my business elsewhere since GDF clearly doesn't want new customers. read more

I purchased an 5 piece outdoor patio set through Houzz.com for $800 plus paying for assembly. 4 months later all pieces are rusting, the wicker and cushions are stained from the rust and ultimately I will have to throw the entire set away. After many emails to both Houzz and GDF Studio, they are sending me one replacement piece and $200 partial refund. They have also removed the item from the website, siting 'sold out' suddenly. There is no reason to believe the replacement piece will not rust and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with $200. The staining will not come out and the deterioration is not going to stop so I'm basically out what I spent. As for customer service, GDF Studio is only quoting their 30 day 'warranty' so beware. read more

Arrived after a long (nearly a month) wait and I was unable to login to website even with link I was provided, sent messages and no response from company. When it arrived, was just the 4 chairs and no table. I did not realize this until I had already paid some people to assemble it. One of the chairs is missing all 4 plastic cushion guards on the bottom of the legs, so it is impossible to use on a brick patio. One other is missing a cover for one of the screws and is an eyesore. I have emailed the company twice with no response. Sat on hold for 10 minutes with the phone number (only could get the phone number from the FedEx package, not on the website). After 10 minutes it said no one was able to take the call and leave a message. Then it disconnected the call/no message-taking available. The phone message said that some items are shipped separately under the same tracking number, no way to check to see if FedEx missed a box or if they haven't sent it. Next up will be a review to the Better Business Bureau. I think this company should focus on their products and not do shipping, they are not well set up for that. No way to send back due to size and already assembled. read more
