He took pictures of the problem and showed me the issue, and reviewed the pricing with me before completing the service. He was quick and efficient, and wet above and beyond typical customer service, even giving me a few pointers to help my units run more efficiently and keep my bills down. He seemed to really care about doing the job right and making sure I was knowledgeable -- this seems like a company that really cares about keeping clients for life. I was looking for an HVAC company. Decided to give GB Services a call after reading reviews posted here on YELP. I called for (2) days and kept getting voicemail. I decided to go on their website and fill out the information for someone to contact. I received a call within (2) hours. I was interested in getting a quote for preventive maintenance service and finding out about the service agreement plan listed on their company website for $159.99. Marcus called and told me that prices listed on their site were no longer available. However, he offered to email a new list of service agreement plans and prices. I would rather not deal with companies that nickel and dime customers. Why so many service agreement plans? I own another home out of state and my HVAC company offers ONE (12) months service agreement plan for $199. That includes unlimited HVAC visits for the year plus additional charges for repairs. Why did it take a potential customer to inquire about service before this company decided to upgrade their website? Our furnace died last week just as it started getting cold. GB Services was highly recommended on our n'hood list as well as by some friends. Mark came out the next day and diagnosed the issue in less than five minutes: squirrels had been storing nuts in our blower motor. He tried to find us a replacement fan before settling on replacing the entire motor, which I appreciated. We were back at a civilized 68 degrees the next day. I just had my ac serviced because the upstairs of my house was super hot compared to downstairs. It turned out that the majority of the problem was that my damper was restricting the airflow and then I needed more freon added to the system. John, from GB Services, did an excellent job at fixing the issue. He was very friendly, kind (explained each step to me in laymen's terms) and worked very quickly so I could make it to the gym. I hate to be just another boring 5-star review, but GB totally earned it. Last night (February) my furnace went out. I called them and spoke to Mark this morning. He said they were booked up, but he could probably get out tomorrow (turns out, this was sooner than any other place I called could come). I prepared myself for another night of sleeping fully clothed under several blankets. Then, at 1pm, I get a call from John at GB who says he can be here in 20 minutes. Wow. Wow. Wow. We had a big HVAC project and are so glad we hired GB Services. They removed our old HVAC system and all of our old ductwork, redesigned the ventilation pattern in our home to make it more comfortable, added a zoned area of the house, installed all new ductwork and the new system, and moved the compressor to the other side of the house. Mark, the owner, was very accessible for questions when we were making initial decisions and even came to the house to work on one of the days. His crew, John and Wesley, were such nice people and very professional and competent. They worked hard at our house for several days. John was the one who redesigned our ductwork and ventilation system, and he treated us and our home like we were family. He is an HVAC artist. This really is no exaggeration -- our new system is beautifully planned and installed. He takes pride in his workmanship and is a perfectionist. We are all missing them now that the project is done. Our home has had the new system for two days, and I cannot tell you the difference it has made. It's like a different house. I don't think that any of the other companies we talked with would have done half as good a job. We are thrilled. Update: we are saving hundreds of dollars each month in our electric and gas bills. So my A/C went out and I did not hesitate to call on GB Services again. They told me last time "change your filters once a month!" I didn't. My system clogged and coils froze. Oops. Lesson learned. So John, the wonderful technician, needed a water source and asked if the spigot in the front worked. I said no, it's been broken since I moved in. He said really? Let me look at something ....2 secs later. Ok it's fixed. Really?! I was going to call a plumber. The valve had never been turned on. I ASSumed if the indoor water was working, the outdoor water should work. Sigh.... #imjustagirl. GB Services, and John, are SO great, so responsive, and have such integrity I highly, highly recommend them. The other five star reviews have nailed all the important points, but I wanted to add my experience today with Mark from GB Services. My unit is about 9 years old, and with the heat we had last week, it started to struggle to cool. I submitted a service request through their online system (it was after hours when I discovered my unit was having issues) and was promptly called back the next day to schedule a service appointment. The day of the appointment, Mark called to ensure I was home and to let me know he was on his way. Talk about prompt, they quoted between 2:15 and 4:15, and Mark was here at around 2:25. Needless to say, that's impressive. While Mark was here, he used his digital equipment to inspect everything and explained all of the numbers as he did so. His explanations were clear to understand and painted a picture of what we were looking at and the potential causes for the numbers we were seeing. He didn't try to up-sell any services and understood that, like most people, I want the unit to function without spending a ton of money in the process. The services were provided were beyond reasonable and got my AC back up and running like it is supposed to. I can't say enough about GB Services and their team of professionals. Fast and Honest. Called Mark at GB Services at 8.20 am. He was on another job and promised to call back in 20 mints. He called back in 15 and was at the house before 9. He saw that the air-conditioning problem that we had did not really need a repair, just replacing a filter and defrosting the compressor. The advice was free, and he did not even charge us for coming by the house to diagnose the problem. Mark, you made a customer for life! We will call you anytime we have an HVAC need. read more

Excellent company. I contacted Mark, the owner, on a Friday, gave him a quote from another HVAC company and within hours Mark called me back with a better quote and had scheduled a rep to come to my house the following day. I also should add that my situation was not an urgent one. Freddy was very professional and although my system was a little more complicated based on work that others had done on the system, Freddy contacted Mark and he came out right away. Mark was able to figure out all of the wiring, etc., and suggested that I get rid of my zone system that has never worked properly from since the home was built in 2000. Mark also quoted me what it would cost to properly fix the zone system and I opted to get rid of the zone system all together. This saved me approximately $700 - $800.00. Both Mark and Freddy were very professional and thorough. They even cleaned up after themselves :) I would highly recommend GB Services to anyone needing a professional, honest, and skilled HVAC Company. read more

I called GB based on very high Yelp reviews, and found them to be exactly what the reviews stated: Friendly, courteous, and accomodating to work with me and my tenant around challenging schedules and needs. They offered a way to avoid the service call by first checking things that I could check. Their tech came on time, diagnosed the problem and had the necessary part on his truck, so no return visit to arrange. Judy, the scheduler was very personable and helpful. The charge for our service call, including replacing a cracked hot surface igniter, came to less than $250, which I thought was reasonable. I give them top marks all around. read more

Integrity, honesty, and trustworthy. These are words I use to describe John Molina and Mark Moore. We had a 23 year old furnace/AC coil that was giving us fits, and they were out to look at our situation. Mark came out first and assessed the existing setup. He then sat with me in the drive for almost an hour (after hours) explaining our options, and asked us to call back with our thoughts. He even called us in Saturday to follow up. To make a long story short, we opted for a new unit in the attic. John then came out, measured the unit and the airflow and advised us of the proper solution. It was cold outside and in the house today, furnace stopped working. Thermostat set for 70 degrees, actual temperature was 63 degrees. I have been on the GB Services maintenance plan for the previous year, which includes service discounts and priority treatment. I got to put this to the test today because I called them at 4pm when I discovered my furnace wasn't working. The forecast is for close to freezing temperatures tonight, so I was already planning on getting out the space heaters for the night, anticipating that I would get an appointment for sometime tomorrow. As it turned out, they had a couple of service techs in the area and stopped by after their last service call of the day. By 6pm, they had my furnace running again. Fortunately the problem was only a loose fuse inside the heating unit, but had they not showed up, it would have been a cold night in the house before it was tightened.
