    The buffet

This was absolutely a waste of money the food was terrible and tasted like it was old the people there are rude as can be the games stole our money and tickets the prices are ridiculous you don't even get half of your money's worth we had to go to a worker eight times cause the games stole our money there's not even that many games to play most of them if not all are rigged or broken my nephew won over two hundred tickets on one game and we had to argue with a worker to get his tickets even then she only gave him fifty of the two hundred and seventy five this place is nothing but a waste of time and a waste of money will definitely not return my whole family didn't enjoy themselves at all WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ESPECIALLY FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES

    Pizza buffet

This photo is how the buffet looked at 12:30 on a Sunday. I got there before the rush of after church crowd (11:45 am) so I assumed they'd be making lots of pizza in preparation for that. But no. During the rush, the line was long, they barely had food still, (this was the entirety of what pizza was available). Even though there was a wait for basic items like cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and cheese sticks it was fresh when you got it. When Rocky owned the restaurant, the buffet would be fully stocked and he'd have pizzas made ahead of time waiting underneath the buffet to quickly replace the empty pans and keep the lines moving and wait times down. The food still tastes amazing as always, the interaction with employees is always friendly, I think there just needs to be changes to the kitchen procedures in how the buffet remains stocked. We were there for a party, only had 2 hours to access the party room, but spent so much time waiting on basic cheese pizzas and cheese sticks to be made. Not even specialty ones. Those things used to be always be stocked and immediately replaced with almost no wait times. Maybe there needs to be more kitchen staff on the clock during those busy days or more food being made in anticipation of keeping things moving on the buffet line. Other than that, very happy to have Gattis in our area.

To be honest, it barely has any presence at all: you can find very little about the place online, or even on the mall's website itself, and it has no direct phone number (the number I am adding to the listing is the mall's main directory). I should probably mention that it is in unit 790, on your right after you exit the JCPenney so you have a fighting chance of actually finding the place. So then you might be inclined to wonder: why did I care enough to find an arcade that doesn't seem to want to be found? Simple: I wanted to find a DDR machine to play, and there simply aren't that many anywhere these days. According to an old online source, there used to be a Tilt arcade here in Huntington Mall that had a DDR machine. I figured it wouldn't hurt to check, so I decided to stop by when I was already in the area for a Homegoods visit. Well, Tilt is no longer here, though it seems it was bought out by a local operator and rebranded as "Fun Time Arcade". Seeing as how I was the only customer there when I went, I'm curious if they informed anyone they still exist. As you can tell by the pictures I've added here, it's a bit like the nearby Camden Park: some old school charm but mostly just old. There is not a DDR machine; sadly they only have a Pump It Up one, which is far less fun. However, if you're into claw machines or ticket-winning games, they have tons of those, and they are filled with interesting prizes I haven't seen anywhere else (I got the distinct feeling they pretty much just put whatever they wanted into them, haha). Also, they have an original Time Crisis light-gun game, which is pretty cool since you can't find them at other arcades now that they have been replaced by Time Crisis 2 through 5. I didn't check out the prizes since I'm not really into ticket games, though they appeared to have a wide selection. As it stands, this arcade is fun to drop by if you want to play a light-gun game or bring some younger children to spend half an hour or so. Outside of that, not a ton to recommend it, and since arcades are somewhat out of vogue these days, I can't blame the owners for not being willing to shell out for some newer or classic games. Don't expect much, though still stop by if you really like arcades like I do. Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars ----- Pros: - It's pretty much the only arcade around. You'd have to drive all the way to Charleston to find anything better. - The machines are well-maintained, I barely saw anything out of order (a rarity for modern-day arcades). - Games are affordable, with most of them costing about 50 cents a pop (and 25 cents for some of the claw machines). No tokens here, just quarters, so no worries about getting stuck with tokens you can't use. Cons: - Not a great variety of games, and don't expect to find anything that came out within the last 7-8 years. That said, don't expect too many classics either. - Not really a ton to keep you entertained for very long unless you have kids who love to play games that win tickets. Even if you enjoy shooting, racing, and claw games, you might get about 20 minutes of entertainment out of the place.
