If you're an Outback rep and read this; be aware that I did fill out a contact form when I got the survey email after our visit. I'm not interested in a free meal or anything of that nature. We will not be returning to Outback again. I do think it's the right thing to do, though, for others to know what a poorly ran location this is. People work too hard for their money to go spend it at a restaurant that can't treat customers like they matter. My husband and I came to this location for NYE dinner. The last dinner we had in November was sub-par, but we had a gift card I'd received and thought we'd try it again- poor choice! Walking in, I noticed trash scattered about the outside. It takes 10 minutes for a staff member to come out and pick up trash. We were seated in the bar area; the bartender ended up being our server. I was immediately put off by the fact that she had waist-length hair that wasn't tied up. I ordered the margarita flight. I don't typically order alcoholic drinks, but it was NYE, so I thought I'd splurge. All four drinks were so, so sweet, I couldn't drink them. We ordered and was waiting for our food when a couple walked in carry a dog and went to sit at the bar. Mind you, it wasn't a service dog (no vest or indicator that it was a service dog), it was a small lap dog. Our entrees arrived, and the continued disappoint of this experience continued. We each ordered a side salad with sweet tomato dressing. We both love the sweet tomato dressing and is one of the main reasons we've chosen Outback in the past. Our server tells us that they're out of that dressing. My husband orders the teriyaki kabobs. He said the vegetables were crunchy and undercooked, and the sauce tasted like it was poured right out of a bottle after the kabobs were (half) cooked. My dinner was equally as disappointing; I ordered a medium well sirloin that arrived bloody. I'd pushed my steak and the margarita flight to the end of the table. The lady manager ( I assume she was the manager) walked by and asked us how our dinner was. I explained to her all the issues we'd encountered. Her response- "well the drink mix sits in the bottom of the glasses. You have to stir them up." No response about my bloody steak. She simply asked if she could take it all away. No offer to take items off our check. We paid the check and left. We've frequented Outback for many years. This place did not meet my standards, and I have low standards for a steakhouse. The steak was very cheap, very bad quality. The A1 bottle I was given , had old clumpy sauce all over it. The rice was also ass. Do not eat at the Ashland location , save your money. I wouldn't be complaining, but I paid 80 dollars for me and my husband, and that is a lot of money. $50 for a "nice" meal for myself and it was such a disappointment. The chicken and steak were burnt, the soup was separated & bland, the bloomin' onion was soggy, the to-go alcoholic beverage was 3/4 filled with mostly ice AND they didn't ID me or my passenger. I can't believe I tipped extra. I don't know why it's so hard to find a good restaurant around here where you can expect food that's worth the money. Oh, and my bread was like ice cold. I don't have much to say except I always enjoy the food when I come here. The staff were really friendly tonight. I had clam chowder (I only eat it at Outback), a salad, a sweet potato, the lamb, and the delicious bread. ALL of it was amazingly tasty. Outback seems to never let me down. I would give negative stars if I could! We ordered the bloomin onion which looked like they took it off someone else's table yesterday and put it in the freezer and reheated it today for us. NASTY!!! Then we ordered the bloomin fried chicken which tasted like the oil it was fried in was old. NASTY!!! We ordered the filet mignon which was vastly undercooked and had a huge piece of fat on it. Worst steak I've ever had. NASTY!!! We also had the loaded baked potato, steakhouse mac and cheese, and the loaded mashed potatoes. The best part of the meal was the loaded baked potato. We didn't finish any of our food and the waiter asked if we wanted a take away box and we both said no just take the food away. On top of the food being NASTY the service was subpar. It took forever to get our drinks and silverware. We were charged full price which was expected because we didn't complain to the waiter because we didn't want any more food from this place. We had a party of 7 adults and two toddlers. The wait to be seated was 40 minutes and it looked like tables were available. We were then seated separately after the wait. Came specifically for the steak and unlimited shrimp. Waiter didn't pay attention to details, was slow, and inattentive. We asked for extra sauce for our bloom - never got it. Asked for four extra appetizer plates - never got them. When the food came, a good waiter would have gone ahead and taken our next shrimp order... we had to track him down to place it. This time when he was serving the order, we told him to go ahead and put in another flight of shrimp. When these came, he ran off without asking if we needed more or anything else for that matter. After about 15 minutes he came with the bill... we told him we weren't done ordering shrimp and would like some desert. Never got desert and only one more order of shrimp in. Lousy service gets lousy tip. Was never checked on by the manager but he managed to check on most of the tables around us. read more

This Outback needs help, especially the bartender (rude and dishonest). Waited at the bar for our table and instead of the Blackberry Sangria I usually order I decided to try the "New" Down Under Mule.......Well, instead of being honest and saying they don't use ginger beer she tried to hide the fact. When I asked what kind of ginger beer she used her response was, "Oh we just use ginger ale and no other Outbacks around here use ginger beer only ginger ale". They need to remove the "New" Down Under Mule if it is not going to be made correctly OR be honest and ask the customer if they want Vodka and ginger ale instead of a Mule. Service was horrible and very slow server. She got all the bills mixed up. Nephew ordered a fruit cup and it was only slices of oranges which they said there was other fruit in it. Our family has been coming here for 3 years. Outback is my favorite restaurant. But the last 2 times, I have been just plain disappointed. Friday night 8:30 not that busy. Prices here should reflect top notch everything. Curbside pickup and pickup are only options right now so shouldn't be too difficult, correct? Well, it's far too difficult for them. Why do I keep trying this place? Because I really want it to be good. Curbside pickup is consistently 30 minutes late, and the online order system tells you exactly when to arrive. This latest adventure, I paid online in advance as usual, but did not add a tip until I could see if one was deserving. After the carry out server asked who I was, (why do I have to list my car color, make and model) she told me it would be right out. This was 12 minutes after I was instructed to arrive. 20 minutes she came back to "remind" me I didn't add a tip on the prepayment. I pointed to the cash on my console, explained that we needed to see how this goes and asked, by the way, where is my order. She left and never came back. A different person delivered my food 15 minutes later. Ugh. She really did ask me for a carry out tip. Geez. read more

We are frequent visitors. This time we went for my dad's birthday dinner. It was a group of seven. Five out of seven steaks came out wrong. We had three well done steaks that came out wrong; two with pink and one very red. One medium well that came out rare, and one medium that was raw. Two well done steaks our family just ate and dealt with, one was sent back and the medium well and medium was sent back. The well done came out burnt to the point half of it couldn't be eaten, the medium well was a bit better so they were able to eat it, and the medium was still almost raw so it was sent back again (this was the birthday dinner). The manager brings his steak back out and asked if it was good (it was well done and burnt at this point) so he said yeah because what was the point of sending it back a third time. The manager then proceeds to tell him well this is medium well so maybe next time you can order it medium well to begin with. At this point, he would rather it be well done than completely raw. It was extremely rude and majority of our steaks were not cooked correctly so that comment was unprofessional from a manager. We all apologized for having to send it back and were understanding it was messed up so there was no need for the manager to act that way. We spent over $165 to eat here. We also asked the manager prior to this if they could sing happy birthday to my dad and he said they would (they didn't) and he was told they would make adjustments to the bill for his steak because it had to be sent back twice and came back still incorrect. No adjustments were made to his bill. Some of his food was also missing and had to be brought out later. We will not be back and was shocked the manager pretty much told him to learn how to order his steak. There are too many steak establishments in the area to be treated that way. read more

Ate lunch at Outback today. It was not real busy so we got a table immediately. Bread was on the table as soon as we sat down. I had one of the lunch specials, salad and chicken quesadillas. The salad was crisp and fresh. The quesadillas were hot and very tasty. Our waiter, Johnny, came numerous times to check on us. Our food came out quickly. We did curb side pick up so no clue on how the service is inside. My steak was perfect and that was all I was worried about so I was happy. I've had better salad and dressing before but my steak was perfect. It's hard to ruin a sweet potato so that was good. The young lady who ran the food out was nice. We love the steak & lobster and the salmon and eat there often. Today we saw that police officers received 20% off and decided to eat our dinner at the Ashland Ky location. We there at 4:20 and it was pretty empty. We asked for a larger booth to accommodate our party of four with room to move. We were left standing for a while before being told there wasn't enough servers to let us sit at a large booth. It was obvious that they didn't want our business so we left and went to Texas Roadhouse where we were welcomed, given a large booth and we had a delicious dinner. Why advertise special events if you don't want to take care of customers. It's sad we enjoyed your restaurant until now, but will not be returning due to the lack of customer service!!! read more
