Went here for wings- the fried (naked wings are delicious) - I had half lemon pepper and buffalo (they were more of a wet sauce and not a dry rub. But they were so good. The fries were thick cut and cooked just perfectly. The place is perfect to watch games as well. The service was excellent. I will definitely be returning. read more

Came here during opening weekend so we expected it to be busy. One thing for sure, you'll get a view of TV's wherever you sit. Good selection of beers with tasters available. Started with gator bites - much too much breading. Then we waited for the main course, and waited, and waited. The waitress came by a few times to apologize and even the general manager came by to apologize. Hopefully it can be chalked up to opening day logistics which will be resolved with time. Oh, the food. I had the Pirates Platter which is basically a fried fisherman's platter - not the best I ever had and certainly won't have it again. My son had shrimp and ribs - he said the ribs were very good and was too full to eat the shrimp. I had some on my platter and they were OK. I am not sure what people see in this restaurant. The wings are over priced and grilled. The flavor combinations are strange and obnoxiously hot. Chicken sandwich is nothing to write home about, its dry and on a regular bun. The best thing on the menu is the buffalo cauliflower, it was some of the best I have ever had. That is the only reason for two stars is because of the cauliflower. read more

Well I haven't written a review in a bit and it took a place this bad to pull me out of yelp retirement. The only redeeming thing about this place was our waitress Kyrie Two meals were ordered fish tacos and Philly cheese steak. The fish tacos order was made twice and neither was impressive the first two spicy and the second well just awful. The second meal was mine and was a very middle of the road or worse Philly cheese steak. They could have made the Philly cheesesteak a little bit better with better bread and more meat. Been to this place about 6 times, first two were pretty good when they first opened, but now after being open a while they show their true colors. Podium person always has a group of people around them from in the restaurant work area, talking about anything but work. They act like it's an inconvenience when you walk up to them and ask to for a table. First two times servers were great and attentive, now they barely visit your table and when you need something and you say thank you, you get "uh huh" really? Try being polite at your job, or at least polite as the customer. Asked for the server we had previously, apparently they quit, gee I wonder why? Food quality is low to average with no consistancy. Get a much better burger at 5 guys and MUCH better customer service. Asked for a cheese burger, slice of cheese was so thin you could see more burger through it then cheese, plus it was burned on the edges. Wonder why the place has only a handful of people at lunchtime? You need look no further than your own staff. No idea who the manager is, never saw once once in our 6 times. So, the reason why I'm giving this place a 1 star is because of Trevor(the assistant manager). I was eating with my S/O when I WITNESSED him being rude and just hostile to some teenagers who were a few tables away from us. Of course teens can be annoying but in no way did they deserve to be treated the way he treated them, to the point of calling them "full of germs" and threatening to call the cops because they were complaining about the food. I ordered for pick up today. I ordered the fish and chips and Quesadilla. I am just so disappointed. The fish and chips was suppose to come with Tartar sauce and coleslaw. The quesadilla - I ordered with plantain and it was suppose to pico salsa and sour cream. No napkins. I ended up throwing out the quesadilla, I just cannot eat it with pico and sour cream. Bad service Wife ordered turkey burger without cheese and I ordered wings. Waitress seem to be in a hurry and push us to order and even repeated our order wrong to us Burger comes out with cheese. We told them we ordered without cheese. They took it back and I had my wings done abs waited another 15 min for her burger to come back out. Manager cane around and asked if everything ok. We told him the issue before the food came out. He said he will go see where it is. He cane out of the kitchen walked right by us and never said anything to us. Service was horrible When it finally came out we asked for a to go container because we were already there over an hour for a burger. They seemed shocked we asked for that. We have been going since they opened and the service has been getting worse and managers seem to be ok with it. Seems that we see the staff busy standing socializing at the front rather then getting orders right and taking care of customers If you want you good service and food in a timely manner do no go here. Reasons for the 3 stars and not 2 because the service there was great. We got sat within 2 mins and our server was right at the table. I ordered buffalo chicken dip and 6 breaded wings with gators hot sauce. Also I order the Hawaiian ice tea which was amazing. He reason why the rating was so low was because the food wasn't great at all. My friends and family have been coming to this location since it opened, and have always had an amazing experience. The staff that we have had the pleasure to interact with have been incredible and are one of the many reasons we make eating here a regular outing. Yesterday was the start of the NFL 2018 football season, and the restaurant was completely slammed. There were a couple of snags with the service and food during the night, but one of the managers, Mike, went above and beyond to make everything right. Any issue that came up he was on top of and fixed immediately. As a group of 7 we all walked out of there ranting and raving about how amazing Mike was. We all are looking forward to returning weekly to watch football. We recommend this location for anyone that is looking for a great place to eat/drink and spend time with family and friends!!!! I decided to ignore many of the previous reviews. This is one of the rare instances where I am glad I did! To give a "one star" for wait time for a place that just opened in a neighborhood where there is nothing else to do; I think it's unfair! The food was not only delicious, it came out fast! The choices were abundant; and the service was great. I had the lobster roll, which was fresh and full of flavor. My wife had the gyro, which was stellar! My children had chicken fingers and the hot dog, and both seemed pleased with their selections. The only constructive feedback I have is that they need draft IPA as a selection (crooked can or lagunitas should be easy to come by.) Also, the staff is still lacking knowledge on some basic processes (coupons, drinks, etc.), but not a deal breaker. Overall, I would come back and recommend to all my friends in the area! read more

We usually have mixed experiences when visiting central florida and eating outside of the 'tourist' areas (mostly involving long waits to get our food). My wife and I, and our two young kids ate at Gator's Dockside in Windermere about a week ago and had an awesome experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and interacted well with our kids. The food was outstanding. Most of all, everything was very timely. We were seated immediately, our order taken right away, and the food came out quick. Unfortunately we left very disappointed. Husband ordered a burger, I ordered Philly cheesesteak and son ordered buffalo chicken philly. It took our food a long time to come out and when it did, it was half cold. Tasted like it had been sitting in a warming window for quite some time. My husband said the fries were tough, bread tasted stale and burger awful. My philly came without any lettuce and tomato so I asked if I could have lettuce, tomato and mayo to top it. The waitress brought me some. We didn't complain about our food and was trying to not say anything but when we got our bill and we were charged $.69 for the lettuce and $.69 for 2 pieces of tomatoes, I couldn't dismiss it. I asked the waitress if we were actually being charged for the tomato and lettuce and she said "management makes us charge for every little extra thing. They nickel and dime you to death". Wow! Wasn't expecting this from their employee. She half heartedly apologized but just took the money and never offered any concession or offer for a manager to come over. Husband said it was "THE worst meal he had ever got at a restaurant". I don't like to leave bad reviews and this hopefully have ban isolated case as son eats here and said it was never that way for him and his friends. I decided to give this location a second chance on Friday by ordering through DoorDash. The wings Friday were good so I decided to order again today and to no surprise the order was completely messed up. I ordered 8 grilled lemon pepper wings and got 8 fried ONLY mild wings. As I am typing this review the manager calls me to explain that all of their wings are fried first, which I am aware, however they are placed on the grill after to provide a grilled smoky flavor. I was visiting from out of town, Sunday, 25 November 2018 (order placed at approximately 8 pm). My friend who lives in the area reluctantly suggested Gator's, mainly because it is the ONLY restaurant of its kind in the nearby area (they would likely suffer greatly if a competitor like Miller's Ale House opened up nearby). I thought she was kidding around, but when I called to place a pickup order, her criticism was justified. We tried to order a burger with a Turkey patty. We were told they were out of Turkey patties (my friend was NOT surprised, as they have often been out of what she tried to order in the past). We then tried to order the Veggie Burger, first asking if they had it - they did have that. I then asked if they had the side Garlic Mashed Potatoes - the girl checked, and she confirmed that they had it. We also ordered Ahi Tuna appetizer, and a full rack of ribs with broccoli and baked beans. I provided my Phone Number as requested. I arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes after the time I was told the order would be ready. I entered through the front door, noting the sign that stated, please wait to be seated - no employee greeted me for several minutes. Finally, an employee approached me. I informed her I came to pick up an order. After some checking, I was told my order was still being prepared. A minute later, another employee approaches me and tells me they are out of Garlic Mashed Potatoes! I specifically asked if they had any when I ordered. The girl on the phone checked and confirmed they did. And NOW, they don't? They didn't even bother to CALL me. So now I need to call my friend to ask what other side item she wants; she decides on the Homemade Coleslaw. They finally bring the food order out. I feel for the temperature of the food; it is barely warm now. As for the food: - Ahi Tuna: my friend pointed out to me that the tuna was sliced wrong; against the grain; rather than seeing all red flesh, it had white stripes throughout. - Homemade Coleslaw: it had some kind of funky odor to it, as if it had been prepared quite a long time in the past, and was possibly beginning to spoil at this time; my friend's stomach is extremely sensitive to 'bad' food, so she was NOT going to take any chances. - Baked Beans: I have no idea what the standard serving is, but the takeout container was only filled about 1/2 inch deep with beans, with a LOT of empty container space above it. Being that my friend who lives in the area is familiar with the restaurant often being out of menu items, I can only blame this on lack of good management. There is obviously a history of certain menu items running out, so why haven't they made any corrections by ordering more of these items? And there appears to NOT be a dedicated employee to greet customers and handle takeout orders? read more

We then met the manager that knew my nephew. He spent much time visiting with us. Such a small world! Ordered from the App, 2 -10 pcs Wings, Cobb Salad, Celery, drove to pickup. Arrived home (20 min round trip). Cobb Salad missing the Chicken, no celery (though free I ordered purposely). After waiting on hold 2x - 15mins. They decided they would allow a "store credit" for the missing chicken, because after all "I did get a salad." LOL, as I tried to explain to the young girl on the phone I didn't want a "credit" while she talked over me, I just wanted the Cobb Salad taken off my credit card. She told me to 'calm down' it was just missing the chicken, and the celery was free! So "no big deal." I was calm, I only slightly raised my voice when she wouldn't stop talking over me, she was totally unprepared to handle a simple issue. What a hassle, keep the "store credit." Invest it in staff training to accurately fill simple APP orders, and definitely a little customer service training. Hard pass. read more

Moved into Winter Garden about 3 weeks ago and have made it our go to place for good food, drink specials and excellent and friendly service especially from Christian one of the main bartenders. Wings, half chicken dinner, ribs, Mahi sandwiches gator bites and much more. There is something for everyone in both the appetizer menu and entrees and although I have not sampled everything yet (probably 1/4 of the menu so far) everything that I have tried has been very good with no disappointment. Beer lovers will find an excellent selection on tap or in bottles and if special cocktails is what you want they have a large list or can make any special drink of your own choosing , just ask Christian or any of their bartenders and you will be on your way to a great afternoon or evening. Plenty of televisions to catch whatever you want to see in all sports venues and you can dine in or outside. Very disorganized and lack of customer (review from 3/2018) RANT Gators dockside of Windermere I must say that we have given this place many chances and we are done trying it. The manager is horrible and they are the rudest people I have encountered. They must hire the crap of the creme. Today we walked in one person in front of us no hostess in sight. Then she comes grabs something and left again then 5 min laters tells the party in front to sit and puts them on a list. Takes our name and says 10 min. She say the party before us and after 10 min I approach her and she says our kitchen is backed up it will be 45 minutes. I am are you kidding I have two hungry toddlers and she could have said this before we couldn't of easily been elsewhere. Manager comes and says sorry but I must let my kitchen catch up sorry nothing we can do. Are you kidding me!!!!
