Came here while visiting family. We got a table right away and our server Eli was amazing. He was very attentive and quick with all of our requests. We ordered gator bites, and brussel sprouts for appetizers and I had the combo platter as my meal. All I can say is yummmm. We ordered jambalaya for our Uncle and asked to not have the spice added on top, Eli had the kitchen keep the liquid separate all together so he could add it to the dish as he liked!!! That was above and beyond what we expected. Everyone at our table was very happy with their meals and we all left full. Worst time ever watching the Tampa Bay Lightning game last Wednesday at Gators Dockside in Spring Hill!! Our server, Kristina, was really sweet and efficient however, the manager came by our table and informed us that he hated The Lightning and anything to do with Tampa in general. He ruined the atmosphere of the game!!! The drinks were supposed to be 2 for 1 but I could have paid full price somewhere else for the cost of these!!! My experience have been about average as they get. Not terrible food but nothing that knocks your socks of either. I give two stars because of service, been twice and both time waiter and waitress never came to our table, weather we need something a refill or if food was okay, could never find them, and no wasn't that busy was around lunch time both times. Recently moved to the area and finally tried Gators Dockside. We drove by several times but it didn't look like a place we wanted to try. Glad we finally did. We have been several times since. The food and service are amazing. I love their chicken bowl with vegetables. The 2 for 1 margaritas are good as well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they need help cleaning. We sat on one visit and tables around us were full of dirty dishes and food left over. Hiring someone to bus tables is recommended. read more

We decided to give this place a try because we thought it had a large beer selection. They did not but we decided to try a sandwich anyway. The place was practically empty and the waitress/barmaid came quickly. We ordered the chicken wing sliders and the burger sliders. It took forever to get out food even though there were only a few people there. This visit gets two stars because the restaurant was clean everywhere you looked and the beer was cold. We sat at the bar to make it easy on the server/bartender and there was only one other person there. It appeared that bar inventory was under way along with a service team meeting upon our arrival. After a few minutes of sitting with no acknowledgment we were waited on by Brooke. We started with chicken nachos, which were delivered lukewarm with no chicken. The "manager" asked us how things were and I responded the food wasn't warm and there was no chicken on the nachos. She then said that there's a chicken nachos in the kitchen and she'd get them for us. Just be honest and say there was a mix up from the start. After the new nachos arrived, we had to request utensils and plates. Again, these were lukewarm. If we weren't so hungry, we probably wouldn't have eaten them and just left. If the service and food had been better, we had planned to order meals but neither of us wanted to stay. Another thing I noticed is that a man walked his dog (not a service dog) from the outside eating area through the restaurant to exit. Seems a little odd and unsanitary. We've eaten at other restaurants in this chain and we're looking forward to an awesome experience. I'm sorry to say we won't be back based on this experience. read more
