I had the appetizer sampler, it hit the spot, all of it was good (fried mozarella, onion petals, chicken, sliders), the sauces were good too. The food was pretty good. We all really enjoyed the fried mushrooms. And my husband really enjoyed their Monday all you can eat wings, especially the peanut butter and jelly flavor. So i decided to take my fiancé out to dinner and we selected gators dockside. We were greeted friendly enough and we were sat in the corner. The hostess stated that Mackenzie would be right with us. We sat there for 10 minutes at least and no one came to our table. So we decided to get up and leave. As we were leaving - the hostess said to us - along with another girl who i believe was Mackenzie - they were at the front just chatting away - they stared have a great night. This girl just seated us ten to fifteen minutes earlier! How do you treat customers like this?!? I am throughly disgusted with how gators does business and treats their customers. She did not even bother to ask what the problem was or what was wrong. I have eaten in the past here and had no issue. Terrible service!! Sure they're nice. Also super slow to get us our service. 4 people before got there order and food out before we even got our order taken. Then we order they're "famous" gator bites. Sadly I was disappointed by the out come they are so small and only can with 11 I paid 11.00$ for them. I was in the other night and we come in often and we had a waitress named I believe Kayla. Brown hair on the thinker side. She was very disrespectful and rude to my party. I'm very disappointed on the way she waited on us. I don't understand how she got hired because she's was absolutely horrible and rude and when asked for extra stuff she rolled her eyes and walked away!! I still tipped her well because times are tough but I have a big following that comes in on a daily basis that said they will no longer return. I love the restaurant but definitely need a new waitress!! I most definitely won't be back if she is there. had her one other time and my wife came in and she said how rude this woman was and she described who she was and 100% it was the same lady!! We came here tonight and loved it! Kayla was our waitress and she was awesome. All of the waitstaff worked together to make sure your drinks were filled, your food was hot when it arrived, and checked in on you. The food was great as well. My husband had the shrimp pods boy and I had the Cuban burger. Both were perfect. Our sons pasta for his kids' meal was a bit too al dente, but otherwise it was a great place to eat! Gator's D has been here over a year now. Just assumed it was another sports bar like Hooter's with finger food. It's more than that. Well they mailed out an interesting flyer with their whole menu on it and a $10 coupon. So I cut out the coupon and put it in my wallet. Tonite we decided at 6:30pm to go give them a try. They were busy on a Wed evening but we got a table immediately. Let there be no doubt this is a sports club from the many many TV's on all the walls. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We stayed comfy inside. Our waitress was very pleasant and knew the menu. I should have followed her first suggestion and gotten the pint of draft instead of the 2 4 1 as those glasses are small and they cost more than a single pint:) Lesson learned go with the server's first mention unless you have someone to share the 2nd drink with. She made a fresh pot of coffee for my wife so we could decide what to eat from their extensive menu. Wife's chicken salad was perfect following the server's recommendations. I had to help her finish it all. My Gator Dinner was very good but I was expecting a fillet of tail and got what amounted to a lot of appetizer sized morsels. They were good but not what i expected from the menu discription. Fries were perfect and a lot of them. Cole slaw was also tasty. So the food is very good. You get real silverware and don't have to use your fingers. The help is friendly. The place is a little noisy:) They don't rush you al all and we loved that. I was pleased to learn at the end of our meal they started a trivia game for anyone who wanted to enter and just hang out. Get points towards prizes. Reminded me of a Dave and Buster's experience in a way. We went home full, happy and will go back one day when we want to have another casual nite meal. Their prices are very reasonable. read more

Disappointing experience. Took nearly an hour to get our food and there were just 2 of us. Gator tail appetizer isn't a good value at $10. I had the Fish & Chips and the Fish wasn't hot and crispy. They were having a trivia contest which was loud and annoying. Maybe give more attention to getting food out and less to stupid trivia. The beer was nice and cold though. Guess one can see from the reviews... pretty evenly distributed some good, some not so good...that this place is inconsistent. We've had good meals and service and bad food and service. Tonight was not so good. We started with nachos...not bad, but have been better. One of our party ordered quesadillas which were very good and plentiful. One of our party ordered a chicken sandwich which was not the most tender and greasy from the bacon. The brioche bun was good. Two of our party ordered chicken wings which were supposed to be all drums, but we're not. They also were not crispy and hardly had jalapeno flavor as requested. Had to ask waiter to bring the sauces and again to bring the celery and dressing. So much for the food. Our waiter, Kyle, left much to be desired. He kept us waiting to talk to another table. Then had to be reminded about things, but did refill our drink orders...three of which were alcohol, one was ice tea. He disappeared several times and did not remove dishes in a timely manner. We waited quite a while for our bill and when we got it had to wait while he took another tables order. He didn't have a pen so I gave him one, but then he did not leave me a pen later to write down numbers to check for rewards or once again to sign our receipt. I finally borrowed one from a waitress so we could get out of the place. It's been a while since we've been here as we had a similar experience last time. It will be awhile before we go back. Our go-to for wings. 2-1 drink specials, admittedly in mugs that are perhaps 8 or 10 oz. (thus equating to one large beer in other establishments), and wings (bone in, or boneless) with a variety of sauces. Wings cooked to your liking either breaded, buffalo, or fried. Plenty of TVs and an accommodating staff to allow you to watch your favorite team. Hardly ever have a server who isn't friendly, we love going up to watch one of our favorite out of market sport teams. If you like trivia, you can head up on Wednesday nights and other nights there are great food specials. There just aren't enough restaurants options in Spring Hill. This one has to be on your list. read more

My companions wings were pink & she also complained, & she got a whole new order & an extra wing? I should have been given a whole new order at the least, and/ or had the wings taken off my bill - bad management & not really caring about your customers or word of mouth? Very disappointed! Ordered a full rack of ribs and when the server brought them she said "I brought you some extra sauce because they look kind of dry". That's an understatement. They were burnt on the top and dry and tasteless. I asked her for more sauce because they were so dry. She brought the sauce and no mention of exchanging them. Must not have been out of the ordinary.
