    Burrata Salad
    Robb R.

We had a nice dinner on a cool Saturday night and generally enjoyed things. The food is a bit of a mishmash as others have said with some true Korean. (Bibimbap) and some true Italian (Gnocchi and homemade Pasta) with the rest being slight variants of both. We had the Burrata salad with greens and roasted and fresh tomatoes (nicely skinned) with Pesto, Pune Nuts and a balsamic dressing. It was beautiful but needed more salt and acid to tame down the Burrata. Still a nice salad. We split the Patate Fritte which was fried potatoes and gnocchi with a really flavorful Chipotle Mayo. The whole dish didn't work. The gnocchi were over fried and too small to eat with the much larger potatoes which were also underdone. The Tuna Poke Bowl was very nice (and a good deal) with all of the usual components. The Salmon was cooked perfectly (crispy on the outside slightly translucent inside ) and came with a wasabi cream, lots of roasted veggies (potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans) and somewhat random things like cornichons, caper berries, and beets. The whole thing worked but would have been better with some editing. I personally wanted more wasabi in the cream and wished that it didn't get watered down by all the veggies. They have a nice cocktail list and a decent list of wines by the glass, several local all fairly priced. The place is modern looking with windows overlooking downtown streets in two sides. The place is very modern with lots of metal and concrete and consequently lots of energy and lots of noise. I see this as a great space for a bunch of friends, less so for a romantic dinner. Overall I liked this place. It could be better and I would return. I love what they are aiming for.

I'm visiting Kelowna and would like to try this Korean-Italian fusion restaurant. In front of the door, there is a showcase displaying various types of liquors. It seems they focus on pairing liquor and wines with their food. We ordered the Korean Beef Tacos, Gnocchi Fritti, and Salmon Wasabi. The Korean Beef Tacos were bigger than I expected. The beef was soy-marinated, and the taste was okay. The use of Korean beef was a unique ingredient, which I really enjoyed. The Salmon Wasabi was an outstanding dish. The wasabi cream was incredibly delicious with a strong flavor. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables--especially the crispy potatoes--were amazing. The beet paired beautifully with the other ingredients. Simply amazing! The Gnocchi Fritti was decent. The creamy rose sauce was delicious, but I was expecting some Korean ingredients to add a fusion twist. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the flavors of this tasty dish.If you're looking to enjoy a simple yet flavorful Italian dish, I recommend this one. We ordered Honey Whipped Cream Cheese for dessert, and it was truly unique. I've never had anything like it before. The whipped cream cheese was incredibly soft, drizzled with honey and balsamic vinegar, and topped with a variety of nuts and dried fruits. It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. I'd definitely order it again. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Although we couldn't have much alcohol that night, we're definitely looking forward to ordering wine or liquor to pair with their food on our next visit.

YUM - at first I wasn't sure how to feel about Korean Italian fusion, but this place hit the spot! My husband and I came on a Tuesday evening without a reservation, and was able to walk in to sit at the bar. The restaurant is cute with a low bar and modern decor. Once you place your order, they give you a surprise smoky shot. It was delicious. High recommend the Korean Tacos and Gnocchi. Flavors were strong, yet well balanced. Food came out pretty quick too

What the heck -- 5 stars! Gather in downtown Kelowna is hands down one of the most impressive restaurants I've ever been to. My fiancé and I decided to stop by for lunch after hearing a few recommendations, and by the end of our meal, we were so blown away that we made reservations to come back the very next day. We were only in Kelowna for three days, and this place was so good, it took up two of our meals. Honestly, I would've eaten there all three days if we'd had more time! Gather is a Korean-fusion spot, and every dish we tried absolutely hit the mark. There's this effortless blend of Asian-inspired flavors with dishes we all know, and it just works. We ordered a bunch of different things to get a full feel for the menu: fried tofu, Gather caesar, beet & ricotta salad, honey garlic bread, spaghetti carbonara, and gnocchi fritti. It was almost impossible to pick a favorite because each dish had its own unique twist that made it special. If I had to choose, though, the spaghetti carbonara was the one that really stood out. I don't think I've ever had anything like it. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was so creamy and rich without being heavy. What made it unforgettable was this amazing Asian twist--our best guess is there was a hint of oyster sauce or some kind of umami flavor in there that elevated the whole dish. It was so beautifully plated, and the flavors were both familiar and unexpected at the same time. Every bite felt like a new experience, and I just couldn't stop eating it. I'm still thinking about that pasta! The fried tofu was another winner, with a super crispy exterior and soft, pillowy interior, paired with a sauce that had the perfect amount of tang. The Gather caesar was a great take on a classic, with bold flavors and a crunchy texture that I loved. The beet & ricotta salad was fresh and vibrant, with that perfect balance of sweetness from the beets and creaminess from the ricotta. And let's not forget the honey garlic bread--it was sweet, garlicky, and the ultimate comfort food. Every dish we tried felt so well thought out and beautifully executed. The team at Gather clearly puts so much care into everything they do. I left each meal feeling like I'd experienced something truly special, and I'll be dreaming about that carbonara for a long time. I can't recommend Gather enough if you're ever in Kelowna!

Obsessed with the food!! We have a fairly refined palette and OMG this food was delicious! The friend tofu app. The salmon The gnocchi Fritti The puttanesca pasta And the pistachio cheesecake!

    Pistachio cheesecake!

Fantastic Food! Amazing attention to detail on texture and taste. Perfect balance of crunch and soft on the fried tofu. The gnocchi fritti with basil pesto was soul food. The fresh made spaghetti puttanesca was tasty. Would not miss this experience!

Gather is an interesting name for this Asian Italian fusion restaurant. We were intrigued by the menu & started with a perfectly spooky cocktail called " Hocus Pocus" with the most perfect bubble of smoke on top, magic! Limited Wines by the glass, Beer & sake are offered. An amuse bouche was offered: watermelon with a citrus sauce... For apps we shared the Delish signature Korean tacos... they give you 3 & they were huge! For our mains, we had the ahi poke bowl & the Bibimbap with chicken. Both were good , not great & so large we could not finish. Service was efficient. Korean Tacos for the win!

came here again during my quick stay in Kelowna and loved it again!! The seafood linguine that I first raved about wasn't as good as I remembered but maybe that's because I had extremely high expectations this time. The Caesar salad was delicious and had a slight twist to it which was surprisingly nice. I was reminded of how delicious their garlic bread was and I was definitely craving more of it after only adding it as a side to my meal.

Date of visit- August 2021 We booked one of google recommended Korean Italian restaurants in Kelowna, and yes, it deserved the five-star reviews. Was impressed upon arriving as I look inside it was well distance, bright and the decor was appropriately beautiful. Luckily, we dressed up a bit to match the restaurants ambiance. We were seated and was welcomed with a shot of smoked sujo which impressed us right away. Then another complimentary bite of Tufo chilli while waiting for our food. We had; Short Rib Steak Tataki- we enjoyed the thin-sliced seared ribs , it was flavorful, as well as the veggies on it were delicious, $26.95 Linguini Seafood- I prefer seafood pasta in white sauce, but this linguini in the marinara sauce was just right, I liked that it was spicy, saucy and had a bountiful amount of seafood on it, $28.95 Fried Tufo- this was my favourite, tasty, crispy, and I love the quinoa addition on it, $11.75 Patate Frite- perfect crispness and warm when it was served, yummy gochujang mayo you dip, $13.95 Affogato- so good love the ice cream alone but it was perfect with the coffee too,$11 Tiramisu- a tiramisu with a twist more milky and creamy with a kick of liquor,$12 Mocktail- perfect refreshment, we decided not to drink wine, so the server suggested a mocktail,$ 7 each Every dish was plated beautifully, we did enjoy all the foods, and each has its unique taste; the servers were welcoming, attentive and suggestive. Lastly, when the bill arrived, it came in a small casket, and as you opened it, it is surprisingly smoky. It is highly recommended to visit. It's in the center of Kelowna, so we stroll around after dinner. Tips: If you want to capture every moment, make sure your phone is ready to capture mainly the first served and the bill. I missed both. Inside seating is preferable as the patio is just within the sidewalk, it was windy and smoky when we visited, so it distracted us a bit.

5 stars all around! The food was creative and delicious. The service was attentive and great. I would highly recommend booking in advance and getting a reservation as we didn't have any luck getting in until we made a reservation.

This place should be reviewed more, one of the best spots in Kelowna, food is excellent, drinks are excellent, and the service is the best we've had while in town. I had one of the most popular menu items, the smoked pork belly. And it was melt in your mouth amazing. I'll be coming back again and again to try more items on the menu!

Fantastic! My sister took us here for a family dinner, and wow it was amazing!…read more Authentic Italian foods and 5 star hospitality. We arrived right on time for our reservation, but the table was not quite ready as the previous party was taking their time to settle their bill. The owner took us to be seated in the gallery area and brought us some champagne and fresh bruschetta to snack on. I was blown away by the delicious and generous appetizer. We were not at all upset to wait for the table, but the fact he went above and beyond just really set us up for a great night. Once we did get our table, we were quick to order a few pastas from Rome. The front of house manager/ owner is the husband of the talented chef, so he was able to give us some recommendations. The complimentary bread comes with a great quality olive oil and the most delicious, aceto balsamico for dipping. I literally have been hunting for a balsamic vinegar that tastes even slightly similar. The meal was amazing. Burrata Speck I think it was (it's burrata with speck layered over top) was AMAZING. Great balance of flavours and the burrata was a delicious, fresh milky taste. I can't handle much oil, so I already knew the pasta with all the cheese and olive oil, wouldn't settle well in my stomach. Luckily, I'm with my whole family so I was able to just take a little taster of everything. We really loved everything we ordered. The cacio e pepe was delish! Salty from all the parm but a creamy sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. We also got the Carbonara which I found to be too salty after having the Cacio E Pepe. It tasted very good though! We also got a fettucini I think with ragu which was such a lovely depth of flavour. We also got some kind of a pork shank which is HUGE and came with some delicious roasted fingerling potatoes and I think pork lard. Pork is not my cup of tea, but I will say it was cooked very well and had a great taste. Seasoned beautifully! The staff were so friendly throughout the whole dinner and we had such a great time. I highly recommend reserving a table because they were fairly full all night long.

It was suggested that we stop in around 8:30 PM and they may be able to take drop ins. That is exactly what we did as it's a short three minute stroll from our hotel. It's an unusual space with a couple of sliding garage doors and surrounded by glass, certainly not your prototypical Italian bistro. It somehow works, with the checkered table cloths and the impeccable service, especially what we received from Griff. The martinis were spot on, the Cacio e Pepe so good with a house white and a whole fish Pesce del Giorno disassembled at the table by the owner Danilo. The bread with EVOO and balsamic was also excellent. The entire experience has us longing to go back to Rome again. Danilo's Wife is the chef and a true star in the kitchen. She was taught in Rome and the authenticity of the food is amazing. We were even given a chance to talk to Danilo the following afternoon prior to opening where we were given tips on sights and restaurants in Rome for our upcoming trip. Our meals done, we were offered a couple of digestif's which just capped the meal off and again spoke of a true Italian experience. We can't wait to come back again, for Griff's service, and to share our experiences with the tips we were given by Danilo. It was a true 6 stars out of 5!

We really wanted to order more food but both my husband and I are small eaters. No chance to try the Entrés. But, we will likely comeback for more the next time we are in town. Instead of ordering another dish we opted to have their dessert . Their house made Spumoni Gelati consisted of pistachio, vanilla and chocolate (again, very generous with their portion, three giagantic balls of the best gelato your money could buy).
