When I arrived to Wheeler Road Self Storage after a long day of moving and a very long drive, the site manager graciously took care of me and squared me away with a unit that was exactly appropriate for what we had to store. The process was very quick and pleasant and the terms were clearly explained such as rental insurance, fees, etc. There are great features at this facility but the one that I appreciate the most is the on-site security. There are cameras throughout as well as the gated access requiring your passcode to gain access to the part where the storage units are located. Another feature if you need it is the air conditioned unit option. If you want a storage unit where you can feel safe and have your belongings there without much worry, then you should strongly consider these folks here! There are several locations throughout Augusta, just search and see what is more convenient for you!

Then go up on the price after putting a few items on the truck. Then after that STILL DID NOT GET EVERYTHING. Left a whole trip behind and "go down on the price" but turn around and go right back up on the price again while headed to the drop off location (SO UNPROFESSIONAL). Then try to go up on the price AGAIN and refuse to unload my items and tried to say that's the price that's owed is without the deposit ,but the whole time telling me that was the full pricing of the move "which should include the deposit" Long story short I was FORCE to OVER PAY than what was agreed THEN still have to MAKE 1 move TRIP with a truck ($200) AND the MESS up my NEW CONSTRUCTION WALLS and LEFT EVERYTHING ON THE 1ST LEVEL and in the Garage... I received a call back right away from Tom who manages the CubeSmart location near me. He was so wonderful and understanding of my situation and worked with me. The new owner didn't think so, as she had her employee call me and threaten me up and down. I agreed to have my bank send a check for the missing five-spot, which I did, the moment the disturbing phone call was over. This wasn't enough however. I continued to get collection phone calls in the following four days. The gizt was: "we haven't received the check yet. You need to make the five dollar payment over the phone because we WILL charge you a late fee if you are a minute late! I reminded them I was a good customer and to just cancel the fee when the check gets there tomorrow. Then the chisler claims on behalf of the chisler owner that they can do no such thing because "corporate" will not allow the local owners to make those kinds of decisions! Bottom line is this: do not use Cubesmart storage at ANY location! Corporate Cubesmart has new totally anti-customer policies. This hatred of their customers and greed for a trivial five bucks on accounts that have netted tens of thousands is absurd! There are dozens of better competitors than these. ..I want to say "clowns", but that might violate review guidelines, so we'll leave it at business unsavy circus dwellers and their corporate ilk.
