This is in layman's terms, but the whole upper jaw had to be moved, lined up and wired. Our son really respected Dr. Cherry and trusted him implicitly. He also considered Dr. Cherry as someone he could talk to (a friend), and that was important for an 18 year old. Dr. Cherry didn't hold back, and explained everything to us and our son about the procedure. It really wasn't easy for an 18 year old to be laid up for a summer with his jaw wired shut, but Dr. Cherry called and checked up on our son many times. Our son looks so good and has a whole new profile, and we consider Dr. Cherry one of the very best. Dr. Cherry's staff is also very considerate - they are all very kind people who are concerned. We weren't a number coming in, but a family that was concerned about our son, and they were wonderful. One of the staff recently left, for personal reasons and we could not have done what we did without her help on insurance - she even gave me her personal cell number so I could call with concerns or questions. By the way, Dr. Cherry also gave us his cell to call at any time of the day or night. A great Doctor who is empathetic and concerned for his patients AND the parents. Thank you Dr. Cherry and staff for all that you do.

Needless to say, when I was informed by my regular dentist that my front tooth not only had to be pulled but may need a bone graft, I was in disbelief. Thankfully, I was referred to Dr. Bradley Cherry. After the first visit, I knew I was in the right place. They worked as a team to insure not only my medical needs were met but also made sure that I felt comfortable with the upcoming procedure. My surgery went great and I realized with the right doctor, oral surgery does not have to be scary. I had very little discomfort after my surgery and Dr. Cherry called me that night to make sure I was comfortable. I was so excited about my results and the fact that I can smile with confidence again. Dr. Cherry is a well respected surgeon with small town values. He is the one doctor that I do tell my friends about and have confidence without a doubt they will be just as satisfied as I was. Best doctor ever!

I went and saw Dr Stakem on Monday to make sure nothing was wrong, and again today because I haven't noticed any improvements. The nurses have been AMAZING- so nice, caring and understanding- but Dr Stakem should go take a crash course on bedside table manners. He basically told me that I was being a cry baby and that the pain would go away, that since I was up and speaking that I wasn't experiencing any "real" pain. He insinuated that I needed to just chill out and that the pain would go away and that I had a low pain tolerance. I'm sorry, but for someone that's been through surgery before and had many injuries, I don't think it's crazy of me to want to make sure I'm okay when 7 days after the wisdom tooth procedure I'm still LITERALLY crying from pain. I will never be returning to this "doctor" for any help or advice. He made me feel like an idiot and I left wanting to cry. Nurses should go find somewhere better to work because they were great. Some doctor.

She had normal crowding: my wisdom teeth were impacted and coming in at 90 degrees, as well as suffering from bacteria pockets he showed me on the Xray caused by the impacting, which also caused a cavity in one of my four wisdom teeth. Knowing this, you would think I would have been prescribed antibiotics. On the second day of being in excruciating pain, he prescribed me more Hydros. On the third day, after informing the surgeon I was throwing up, I was told that the risk of infection is rare and I probably have the flu. Although he said I can send pictures, and did try to schedule an appointment, I ended up going to the ER and informed I had a severe infection and put on antibiotics. To make It even worse, when I went to him for my follow up appointment, the surgeon tried to tell me that the infection was from food getting stuck in the holes even when I explained that I had kept up with my oral care and did not eat any solid food before I went to the ER. Do not come here.

Mill Creek Dental Care somehow manages to make going to the dentist a genuinely pleasant…read moreexperience--which feels like a small miracle. The hygienists are energetic, friendly, and incredibly kind. They strike the perfect balance between professional and personable, and they clearly care about patient comfort. I have a sensitivity to the sound of the water pick when they're cleaning my back teeth (for me it's basically nails on a chalkboard), and without hesitation they offer ear plugs. That small act of empathy goes a long way and makes a huge difference. I've also had a couple of fillings done over the past year. I won't pretend I enjoy needles, numbing, or drilling--because who does?--but the team kept me calm, didn't overwhelm me, and made sure I stayed as comfortable as possible throughout the process. If you're looking for a dental office that's skilled, compassionate, and understands that dental anxiety is very real, Mill Creek Dental Care is an easy recommendation. Even the parts I normally dread were handled with care (and ear plugs).

I chose to proactively replace my bridge since it was 25 yrs old and there were signs of mild decay underneath. The replacement took Dr. Machado five attempts (you read that correctly- FIVE attempts) until she was able to provide me with a passable replacement bridge. Which translated into many trips to and from her office between July and November. Not surprisingly, it was always the fault of the lab. You might wonder how I could have possibly endured going back so many times. At the time, I was overwhelmed with taking care of a very sick family member and I didn't have the bandwidth to deal with this fiasco on top of everything. I just crossed my fingers and hoped that the next visit would be "the last one." Note that there was no mention of reimbursing me for my time and gas expenditure... until I brought it up. The good news is that I was eventually reimbursed for time & gas at my last visit to the office, after a teeth cleaning, when I explained all this to someone at the front desk. When I presented my teeth-cleaning bill to her, she made an executive decision to take it from me and tell me it was taken care of. I'm sorry that I didn't note the name of this true professional. The worst part of this whole ridiculous experience is that despite all the stress & frustration, I still have a less-than-perfect-fitting bridge. Food gathers under the lingual side of the bridge after each meal. Lovely, right? I recently considered requesting a full reimbursement from Dr. Machado for the entire process so I could take my ill-fitted bridge to another dental office and have it completely redone. However, after reading other reviews, I realized that I would NEVER get my money back from this dental group. Fair, ethical, and capable, they are not.

Despite this, they went ahead and did unauthorized procedures without my consent, then attempted to bill my insurance for them. Unsurprisingly, the insurance didn't cover these charges, and now I'm being stuck with a bill I never agreed to. When I called to discuss this fraudulent billing, both Angie and the office manager Maggie were unbelievably rude, condescending, and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the problem, they dismissed my concerns and told me there was "nothing they could do," even though they performed work I explicitly declined. To make matters worse, they are still insisting I pay this bogus invoice with no adjustments. This office is unethical, disrespectful, and clearly more interested in padding their bills than providing honest dental care. Stay far away unless you want unauthorized work done and a headache fighting unfair charges.
