I wanted to share my experience with iDrive Driving School regarding my son's lessons…read more His first session was a very positive experience. The instructor, Coach Michael, was calm, patient, and supportive, which really helped build my son's confidence behind the wheel. We continued practicing at home and were making great progress toward completing his required driving hours. Unfortunately, the last two lessons were a completely different experience. The instructor, Toya Phillips, was assigned for both sessions, and her approach was extremely concerning. My son shared that she was impatient, raised her voice, and was overly critical rather than supportive. During one lesson, while practicing parking, she became frustrated when he didn't perform the maneuver correctly and spoke to him in a harsh and discouraging way. As a result, his confidence has significantly declined, and he is now experiencing anxiety behind the wheel and does not feel ready to take his driver's test. I was also very troubled to hear that she told my son another student had become so upset during a lesson that they got out of the car and refused to continue. That alone raises serious concerns about her professionalism and teaching style. In addition, my son has ADHD, which was disclosed at the time of enrollment. This makes patience and clear, supportive instruction even more important--unfortunately, that was not our experience. I attempted to contact the school on two separate days and left messages but did not receive a response. Had there been communication and a resolution offered, I would have preferred to handle this privately rather than leave a public review. As I prepared to write this, I also noticed that Toya Phillips has been mentioned in other negative reviews, which suggests this may not be an isolated issue. At this point, I am requesting two additional driving sessions with Coach Michael, as he was professional, patient, and truly made a positive impact on my son's learning experience. Driving instruction requires patience, professionalism, and the ability to build confidence in new drivers. Based on our experience, I do not believe Toya Phillips should be working in this role.

Unfortunately, my experience with the behind-the-wheel lessons was extremely disappointing. Because of limited slot availability, I had to take lessons with two different instructors. During my second lesson, instructor Nadeem Qureshi focused more on questioning my prior experience than actually teaching me. I explained that, since I am over 25, I had already completed the MVA-recommended practice hours, along with some previous driving experience in my home country. Even so, a large part of the lesson was wasted before I was finally allowed to drive. Throughout the lesson, he repeatedly told me I needed more practice and suggested I book private lessons with him. After that class, he even told the receptionist that I should not continue without private lessons first. I declined and kept my final scheduled lesson. In the last lesson, it felt like he had already decided not to recommend me for the MVA test. I was marked as failed and pressured to pay for an additional private lesson costing $85. I also found some of his remarks disrespectful and inappropriate. I later complained to Mr. Husain, but I did not feel my concern was properly addressed. I was told I failed because I did not do enough head checks before lane changes. A driving school should guide students, correct mistakes professionally, and help them improve. My experience felt more like pressure to purchase extra lessons than genuine instruction. Because of this, I cannot recommend iDrive based on my behind-the-wheel experience.

This school gets 1 star for nothing! Today [2/8/2025] at around 10:30 AM. I followed an RPDS…read morevehicle from Padonia and Falls all the way to the Dunkin Donuts near Princeton Sports. Though the driver was obviously anxious and inexperienced, he was cautious and pretty much able to navigate. We both pulled into a very crowded parking lot with cars in front and behind us. The driver stopped and put his car in reverse and sat there for a while. As a parking spot was open and he was not moving I went ahead and parked. As I was ready to get out of the car, a woman, whom I can only assume was the instructor came up to my door demanding I move because the driver was going to park there. She was hostile and aggressive. I looked around and saw that the lot was full of standing cars and realized the traffic mess would only get worse by my attempting to back my car out so I refused and went on in to Dunkin Donuts. The instructor repeatedly yelled that I was 'prejudiced bitch'. Numerous issues here! 1. A bitch is a female dog. I'm neither a dog nor a female. 2. I had no idea what the race of the instructor or the student driver was. I never had an opportunity to see the driver and only saw the instructor, who is Black, when she approached my car. 3. Modeling this type of behavior for a student driver is absolutely reprehensible as it was really akin to road rage.

They do not take credit card payments. They are over priced compared to other schools in the area. Lastly, and most importantly, the instructor Ms. Nolan has no patience with the students and complaints are met with "the instructor has full discretion" by the owner. I told my son he did not have to return after completing more than half the required classes. He was so happy and did not mind starting over with a new instructor at a new school. They took me for 400, now they are offering a lower price of 250, but when you steal 250 per student, that can be 4000 per class, but nobody ever gets the certification you need to get a drivers test at the MVA, and the MVA will not help you at all, they dont care! Nobody does, thats why they keep ripping off students, each class gets them 4 to 5 thousand dollars, most kids just don't know how to fight them, they claim to be out of business, and stop answering your phone numbers, I been calling the police, better business bureau, and the news, nobody cares, and nobody can stop them, I am just hoping to warn unsuspecting kids of this horrible scam they are running over there!!

First, if texting is a. method of contact for your business, I expect a response in a timely manner. Nine days is too long to respond especially when I had to follow up. Second, it is June 27th and your next available drive time is August 31st?! Over two months for your next available appointment is unreasonable to me especially if we cannot get our license until we complete these drive times. I am hoping that there are better prepared driving schools out there. I have other children that will need driving school but Parkville Driving School will NOT be an option.
