Once getting behind the wheel, her patience and repetition of the skills learned in the classroom were beneficial to me. Another thing that helped me tremendously was that she described her driving in real time as we navigated driving to practice locations. Because I am a visual learner, she took the time and patience in navigating through the various skills I would be executing each time I practiced behind the wheel. We were told that we would have to wait for a whole new class of students to join before they would schedule a make up class. Also the driving instructor Jason was on his phone almost the whole time my daughter was driving. For students that are already nervous about the beginning stages of driving to feel like the instructor is not paying attention and helping to give instruction can make them not want to drive at all. That is exactly what happened with my daughter . I did provide that feedback to someone at the school and I was told they only have 2 driving instructors and the other driving instructor only had driving times early in the day while my daughter was in school. During the pandemics, they have pretest practice at the Bel Air high school no cost for all of the student to practice the driving skill before the test. They do it 2 days per week, 2hours per day, which I think a great idea for students to prepare their driving skill test.
