This is a really unfortunate review that I am forced to leave. I had to take this action so others can be aware of the practices of this Dealership. Derrick Leigh is who I dealt with regarding this entire attempted transaction. I am a pre-approved Buyer through Octane/Roadrunner Financial, very common lender for Dealerships. I negotiated a price on the 2023 Indian Springfield Darkhorse (Quartz Gray), once we started doing the processing he informed that Roadrunner was going to impose a Dealer Fee on him. He CLEARLY stated on the phone with me that "he passed on Dealer fees to customers, he doesn't pay them" I told him I thought that was very odd but we can discuss later. He then started saying the loan approval terms had changed, however EVERY (5x) time I spoke with the Lender they said they had no idea what he was talking about. I mentioned his statement about the Dealer Fee and they alerted me that any Dealership that passes on such a fee is commiting an illegal act and I should not work with them and to contact the respective state Attorney General. I gave Derrick several opportunities to email the terms of the deal and to discuss the deal further. When I told him of my intentions to contact the appropriate State Office we called me and tried to reinvent our past conversation, as well as push the matter to the past and offer another idea. This screams bad Dealer and I would urge anyone to do their due diligence. I am contacting the Attorney General through the Office of Consumer Protection, I am doing so today. read more

Gateway Cycles is NOT a good place to buy anything. A man named Derick was supposed to return my call about something very important but never did. He said they were so busy. Also, they are overpriced. Shop around. There's much better places to buy a cycle or ATV or UTV. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I attempted to get information on a 2018 Goldwing for sale at Gateway Cycles that I found on Cycletrader. The photos on Cycletrader were stock photos, so I contacted Gateway Cycles and asked for actual photos, rather than making the hour drive from Frankfort. I spoke to Carl, who said pictures would be texted to my number. We agreed that upon receipt that I would text back pictures of my current Goldwing which I hoped to trade. The pictures never came, so I called again, two hours later. This time I was told they lost my number, and I would get the pictures shortly. Needless to say, the pictures were never sent. I was still (my mistake) enthusiastic about the Goldwing, so I made the hour drive from Frankfort to see the bike. When I arrived, it was nowhere to be seen. I again spoke to Carl, who said he never sent to pictures because another long-time customer was interested in the Goldwing, and he had let that customer drive it home for an extended test drive, thus making it unavailable for me to view. I don't like being lied to, and I was either lied to on the front end or lied to on the back end of this attempted transaction. He apologized to me, but I did not accept his apology. A single, simple text would have put us both on the same page, preventing me from wasting my afternoon, but this was too much to ask from Gateway Cycles. I would highly suggest to skip Gateway Cycles if you are considering purchasing a motorcycle or other powersports equipment. I was a serious customer who will now go somewhere else. read more

I had another great experience at Gateway Cycle today and had to share it. Carl helped me and about 15 other folks in a quick, professional manner. He has an amazing knack for engaging folks in conversation and finding what the customer needs/wants. Eileen handles that paperwork as efficiently as possible considering that she has to wait on financing and insurance people. This is my second motorcycle purchase from Gateway and I kind of thought the first was a fluke but this proved that they are TRULY super folks to deal with. Highly recommend stopping in and letting the crew at Gateway take care of your powersports needs. You'll get first rate treatment, and most likely from the owner himself. Great welcoming, and family environment, and will help their customers any way they can to make a deal happen, and help them feel good about it. read more
