Breath taking we stayed 4 days 3 nights. Total phenomenal. We got 3 canceled reservations but they were able to recover by giving us other awesome activity options. It's very deserted no phone signal wifi is only available in your room and available in a few places with low range. It's good for retreat total relaxation.

Great place overall, coming here was a nice change of pace given the location and uniqueness of the surrounding mountain area. Lots of gorgeous views and being so remote you can find a certain peace away from the crazy. One of the more harder to get to resorts I've been to, but worth the trip. Few opportunities to improve: - Rooms need to be updated, little dated look. - Better on-site snacks service, do bring your own. - Food options could be better. - Def bigger tv is needed. Other than that this place is really fun and I would go back. Hope they keep up and improving, would recommend checking this place out.

What a great relaxing place to stay at! Tip: make sure you book the activities in advance as they get booked fast!!!!

I am amazed such an amazing place exists in the middle of nowhere. Thanks to the international travel ban we decided to check out this place as a consolation vacation. We are a family of four and we loved it and can't wait to go back. There were six swimming pools. Since we have two small kids we opted for a suite with a fire pit instead of having to lifeguard the small kids with a hot tub suite. The hot tub room would've been a great option for social distancing if the kids were older. The food was good and we were happy with the kids food menu. I was worried we'd run out of things to do and it turned out we couldn't do everything we wanted during our four night stay! We liked looking for frogs and watching the hummingbirds. Of course things have changed and second quarter of 2020 and the staff seemed to handle everything well; Lee was super helpful as was Eleanor at the restaurants. It was great to have takeout food options. We went for drive on a dirt road to Utah. John Hendricks definitely knows what is up! Highly recommended! Amenities include: a frisbee disc golf course, ATV tours, a horseback riding ranch about 15 miles away, hiking trails, archery, shooting range, fire pits and drinks!

The jacuzzi is overlooking the neighbors. For a grand a night. What a let down.

No directions & no email after payment. As we are heading to Island Lake I go back to look at the receipt and it now says "Eggleston Lake'. They switched up what lake we were planning on going to. Not a big deal, as it was about 10 minutes from Island Lake. We didn't have the best signal, but one call did go through that they did not answer. We went back down the mountain to get better signal after driving to both lakes & not finding anyone. Mind you- when we rented paddle boards in Hawaii- we had them delivered & we never had to meet them at their office. After the 3rd call we got ahold of someone who was so incredibly rude. He was baffled that we wouldn't come to the office.. even though the address wasn't provided. It was incredibly hard to find the office address. He started cussing at us & was incredibly disrespectful. He is insensitive. I hope the man we spoke with gets help. That was a lot of negative emotions he had & I pray he finds peace in his heart. I have never ever dealt with someone who works in customer service like him. He refused to give us a refund & kept talking over my husband and hanging up on us. Why would we ever want to do business with a company that doesn't communicate? And why would we want to do business with someone who poorly represents said business? With the reviews- it's like a flip of a coin if you'll get good service or not. I don't know the man's name who answered the phone, but hopefully not all the employees are like him.

The staff here was so kind, helpful and down to earth, we were on a first name basis with everyone. There's a restaurant which serves all local farm to table food and coffee, a fully stocked bar, game room, hot tub, fire pits, super great massage chair, and we even went on a snow cat tour. Our cabin was cozy, comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend. We will be back!

I guess my purpose of never going in was that we came in on the other side of the mountain (Off of McClure Pass), and never really ventured into the "Hubbard Park" area. We always had our big wall tents, wood burning stoves, and food for the week. So I guess we never really needed to venture that way. Let me tell you we were MISSING OUT on something amazing. I ended up venturing over into that area due to the dry season, high temperatures, and the sparse amount of elk in the area that I am usually in. I got a tip from someone about a place in Hubbard Park so decided to go check it out! First the spot was amazing, and was what I hunted for the rest of the season. However, after my first night scouting the area I decided to stop in for a beer and a meal at electric lodge. First, The staff is amazing! From the back kitchen staff, the bartenders, the waitress's, the bar backs, etc! You all rock! Super friendly, great to talk too, funny to be around (I love sarcasm and they could all read that). The place was clean, warm, and rustic truly made my hunting trip feel even more amazing. The food was great (Only criticism is a little pricey, but hey supply and demand so no complaints). The beer was cold and in a clean glass so no complaints there (Also reasonably priced). The next night I ended up bringing my whole hunting crew over for dinner and some beers after our evening hunt. They all enjoyed it and we had probably some of the best brisket and smoked sausages I have had in a long long time. We all talked about looking in one year of just staying at the lodge instead of setting up our camp. It wont be an every year stay, but worth looking into every few years. However, even if we set up our own camp you can sure as heck no that we will be stopping in for at least one night each year. Great work Electric Lodge! Great work Electric Lodge Staff! This is my new hidden gem that I can't wait to tell people about!

Their children are very respectful and I loved having them around. I stayed in a suite which was the absolute best accommodations I have ever stayed in. I had my own deck to watch the beautiful stars in the morning and my own bathroom with a shower you can fit ten people in and a tub to soak in after the long day of hunting. The food: They say on the website there is a five star chef. It is Jeremy's wife who cooks all the food and it was more than five star in my personal opinion. She noticed I loved fruit so every meal there was fruit for me. Which is above and beyond. The hunting experience : It was EXCEPTIONAL. The guides we had were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we were seeing elk every single day. Jeremy (the owner) who is a true hunter, not just a "resort owner" was out every day glassing to find where the elk were at. He has 12 miles of land so where the elk were at, we were at. We had no issues going to the same "sweet spots" because that means that's where the elk are at. Overall, we will be coming back. They are an exceptional family with a beautiful lodge and amazing hunting ground. It is not a spot that elk will migrate through, it is a place that they stay because of all the abundant resources Jeremy has ensured the land will have for the animals. You won't find a better hunting resort to stay at!

We were told that Crossing Creek's success rate was 100% for the 1st rifle season in 2017 and a high success rate overall. We booked the 1st rifle season for 2018. What we missed was 2017 was Crossing Creek's first year in business. The Lodge. The enormous beautiful hunting Lodge is not a Lodge; it's actually the owner's Home complete with 2 wonderful young boys. Surprise! All business is conducted at one wing of the Home where the kitchen and dining room are located. It is also the same wing in which the owners live. Starting at 4:30-5am when the hunters join for a quick snack while waiting for the Guides to arrive, who leave their diesel engines running just outside this wing, then business ends at midnight after dinner, countless cocktails and loud endless stores. I mention this because one of the owners rebuked me the second morning for making too much noise and waking one the boys. I believe this incident is the reason the owner two days later flew a drone mounted with high intensity LED lights that were shining inside my second story windows at 4am. It was HARASSMENT as well as childishness. Whatever the owner's reason was, it's no way to treat a paying customer. For the doubting Thomas's, there are no outside security lights. Certainly not one that is 10 feet away facing into a South facing window then moves to an East facing window then laterally passes the bathroom window in another room. I was harassed. I was totally blindsided and now doubt the owner's integrity. It was a childish and resentful attack. Entering the Lodge (Home) there is a small 6' long bench. Hunters lack sufficient space and storage for hunting gear and rifles. Hunting gear/clothing/boots lie about like any other man cave however this is a Home and you must be mindful of that. Five unchecked rifles were left lying around on the floor or leaning against one corner. I consider this a safety hazard for a Home or any Lodge especially one with children. A solution would be to build an outside heated changing and storage room. The Range. Sitting in the mud is an old saggy 6' folding table along with older chairs. In the field was a cardboard box with Sharpie circles for a target. I've used worse but at top dollar I expect better such as a concrete shooting table, chairs and official targets down range. Improvement is needed. The Guides. There were three Guides. A bonus since it was booked 2 hunters to 1 guide. Two of them were around 25+ y/o with extensive Elk hunting experience. The third, older, Guide had extensive hunting experience but not with Elk. All three lacked any years of experience as Guides and for sure it was one Guide's first year, first week even. It was also clear the Guides had one week of experience on the property. They had lots to learn at our expense. One Guide brought his girlfriend with him for an early afternoon hunt. One hundred percent of his time was focused on his girlfriend and he totally neglected the three hunters. We were not his priority. Later that cold night returning from the mountain top we loaded into an old Jeep Cherokee for the 4 mile bumpy ride home. One of the older hunters and my partner, 63, had to ride in the rear with the spare tire and hunting gear while the Guides girlfriend sat up front with the heater on full blast. We lost 1/2 a day of hunting and basically paid for the Guide to spend time with his girlfriend. The Hunting. There is 12 miles of property bordered by National Forest and BLM land. Of the 12 miles we only hunted in two small areas, the highest point of the property facing the Nat'l Forest and the lowest point facing BLM land. All the rest of the property was under development and not hunted. While the owner and Guides did work hard for our success only one of five hunters harvested an Elk or 20% success rate. The Guides were not allowed to cross the boundaries of the property. Had we shot an Elk in the Forest or BLM I was left with the impression we had to haul it out. That's what Guides get paid to do. The Food. While the website leads you to believe a 5 star chef is cooking your meals this was not the case for hunters, wedding only maybe. One of the owners and a Guides wife prepared the meals. They did an excellent job and the service was superb. Summary. We paid top dollar for this hunt. What we got was a bed in a fancy house, good food, an owner who wanted us to be successful and worked hard towards that end, inexperienced Guides experienced hunters, a property that is under development and not ready for prime time hunting and finally personal harassment. This place has great hunting potential. If you must go, go in 5 years.
