My favorite places to review are donut shops, and if I had to pick one, this would be it! Huge fan of their donuts all around. They have a variety of donuts to pick from too, including donuts topped with cereal toppings and donuts shaped in the shape of a heart. The inside of the shop is spacious and clean too and plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your meal as well. Most donut shops I've been to may have a table to sit down and eat at; however, this place has three tables that are always clean and free of any leftover food from previous customers. My favorite part about this place is their sausage rolls as they have both small and large and both regular and spicy. The sausage rolls also come with cheese inside and the spicy ones come with a jalapeño on top too. The store is run by a lovely couple as well who are always the sweetest, and you can tell they truly appreciate their customers, especially if you're a regular like myself. Overall, as I said before, if I had to pick one donut shop to give a try in the DFW area, this place would be it, especially if you live in the Lakewood or Old East Part of Dallas! read more

First of all, don't walk, run. I was looking for a donut store near my new Job, and came across reviews for this place. First of all, reviews don't lie. The customer service was excellent. As soon as I walked in, the lady helping in the counter, greeted me with a smile, and quickly helped me. I bought a dozen donuts, mixed flavors. As I was paying, I noticed some donut holes that were a little different. I asked her if I could try them, and handed me one. Oh My God! The donut holes were amazing. She told me they were cronut holes. This is the most amazing thing ever. You absolutely need to come here. She once again, smiled at me and waved and said have a great day and off I went. The mixed donuts were fluffy and guess what, the leftover one I had the next day, was still very good, which is not the norm for other places. This is my new go to place. 15/10. read more

Delicious donuts and a great price! My go to and the girls at work love them! A must have around the office!

Love this donut shop! Tastiest donuts in the area and they have things like various-sized apple fritters (small and large), croissant-based donuts including glazed croissant donut holes (which taste as buttery and decadent as one would imagine), etc The owners are very personable and have excellent customer service. Their high stars are well-earned. read more

This place is a gem. My second trip in today and there will be many more. I discovered this shop recently and returned today. Picked up a kolache and two donuts. All were terrific. In addition, you will not find better small business owners who offer friendlier customer service. While it appears it may be a bit sketch from the outside, I assure you it is very welcoming and clean inside. While I have closer spots for donuts available to me, I go a bit further to reach this uniquely terrific small business. read more

I have been coming here for years and just realized I've never left this place a review. The donuts are always fresh. Every morning Kim and his amazing wife are there around 2am to start making everything fresh. Donuts and Pastries are moist and delicious, good prices especially in today's economy. I've known them for years. They're some of the kindest people my wife and I have met. Coffee and Oj is always ready to go. Good sandwiches as well. Definitely recommend this Donut Shop! There is dining in as well if that suits your taste. read more

Good donuts and good service. The store itself was nothing too special but I wasn't there for the esthetic.

Delicious, old-school glazed donuts. Light and fluffy, not too heavy - simply outstanding. Some of the best old-school glazed donuts you'll have anywhere. Unassuming place. Cheap prices. Really nice people. Writing this is making me crave another - yea, they're THAT GOOD. read more

My first donuts since I've been back in the states. I'm very happy I picked this place to share with my co-workers! I love that they have drive thru window! The customer service from the guy with the fancy glasses was excellent! He gave me a wonderfully delicious arrangement of donuts. I was pleased the price of donuts haven't gone up to be sky high! These were $7 for a dozen. These donuts were just how I remembered them to taste and feel (softy, fluffy, and slightly sweet)! We are all happy! read more

Gaston Donuts - Yes! - Donuts Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I came here for the first time today, hungry after fasting for a blood test at the doc's, and was very happy with the experience. Best value: big croissant sandwich, a colossal construct housing scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, bacon, and 2 slices of american cheese, transformed to tender flaky savory goodness after one minute in the microwave, all for $2.99, an astounding value. Worth getting: small sausage rolls ($0.95 each- I like the jalapeno version) and sausage croissant ($0.99 each- with a chunk of bacon thrown in for good measure) are both top tier, also after a warm-up shot in the microwave. Donut holes: the counter lady (50% of the couple who run the place, plus hubby running the kitchen) threw in 6 for the heck of it, which were also excellent after I asked her to warm them up, fluffy and sweet. SK donuts makes solid donuts and savory items for very competitive prices in their urban Dallas market- highly recommended for an indulgent goodie for yourself, or boxes full for the office (call in advance for large orders, as normal inventory is limited). read more

Lovely warm and friendly couple who worked behind the counter. Service with a smile. I asked what her favorite donut was. She said the croissant donut. It did not disappoint. Sweet, flaky, textured. Id be curious to try it heated up. I also had a jalapeño sausage kolache. I liked how there was no cheese in it, as from my experience, that can drown out the other flavors and make it heavy. This was nicely balanced and well proportioned between the sausage, roll and jalapeño. Their door requests that you please wear a mask. Great local business. read more

The Dallas donut scene is increasingly competitive with both traditional and contemporary options. SK Donuts is one of the more traditional spots around blending traditional options with kolaches. They're good, but not what I would call top tier. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? The layout at SK Donuts is simple and the extremely friendly owner will have you setup in no time. Donuts? They got them. Kolaches? They got them. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? This is how donuts should be priced. Standard glazed? $0.95. Old fashioned? $1.00. In an age of $3.00 or even $4.00 fancy schmancey donuts, prices that hover around $1.00 are a breath of fresh air. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? As I often do, I started off my sampling with a standard glazed donut. It was good, with a puffy consistency and a smooth, crack-free glaze. The flavor was there, although I honestly would have a preferred it a tad bit sweeter. Just a personal preference. From there I sampled an old-fashioned, which have been among my favorite donuts as of late. The flavor here was better than the glazed, although the donut cracked apart pretty easily. Both of these were good options, although I could have gone for a slightly broader selection. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? SK Donuts is a good option, although among the increasingly competitive Dallas donut landscape I'd argue they need to expand their options a tad bit further. No Star Granted. read more

Had a mad craving for donuts so hopped on Yelp and found this place. Came in 15 minutes before close and it was an older gentleman working who was super super nice. Yum, yum, yummy! This place has some delicious donuts and sausage croissants! Get them to heat up a sausage croissant for you.... Oh my goodness. So delicious. I bought some regular donuts, chocolate donuts, sprinkle-covered donuts, blueberry donuts and a sausage croissant (obviously). All were freshly-baked and delectable. The sweet lady at the register also threw in some free donut holes since I think they were about to close for the day! Nom, nom, nom. Thank you, ma'am. SK Donuts is not fancy; it's just simple and to the point. They also have a nice selection of drinks to rinse down your donuts, and the people who work here are super nice. I will certainly be back when I need another convenient donut fix and don't feel like driving to (or waiting in line for) Hypnotic Donuts. But come soon after you wake up on the weekend; like typical donut/breakfast shops, they close at 1pm. (Insert glazed crumbs here). read more

Being a business owner takes a certain amount of passion and commitment, but venturing out to start a donut shop takes a new level of passion. Early hours that turn into long days are not for everyone, but the owners of SK Donuts have found their calling.
