This is my first visiting this salon and I'm so glad I did! I found her Groupon, then I followed her Instagram and I was sold. One of the things I most appreciated was her reaching out to me before hand and discussing what I wanted and the state of my hair. My goal was to get balayage but she was very honest and said with my history of using box color, I wouldn't get the effect I wanted. That was some great advice for me because I hate going to the salon for something and not getting what I want. I ended up getting hair color and a haircut. This was my first time and Karina gave me the best haircut/style I've ever had! I showed her what I wanted with pictures, I explained how I wanted more shape, movement, and volume with layers and curtain bangs. As other reviewers have noted, it is hard to make an appointment. At my initial appointment with Karina, we agreed to meet at 10:00. I arrived and the door was locked. Once I was able to get ahold of her she gave me a song and dance about why she was not there. We rescheduled for the following weekend. Again, Saturday at 10:00. This time she had the curtesy of telling me she was going to be a half hour late. I finally sit in her chair and that is when all the upwelling began and it continued for the entire appointment. I had my roots touched up, balayage and a cut. After 4.5 hours, she was finally done with my hair. I still had grays peeping out. The balayage was brassy (something I specifically indicated I DID NOT WANT) and my hair cut was shorter than requested and uneven. The end product was not worth the aggravation. read more

I asked for highlights with a dark base color to match my natural hair color and a haircut. (Y'all, it was a mess coming out of quarantine, uneven faded color, FULL of grays, box color, as well as black dye from a previous hair dresser (yes, the dreaded impossible to eliminate black dye) and she turned it into my dream hair. Very hard to get a hold of. I have called her countless times to make an appointment and it took her weeks to get back after me calling and calling and leaving countless voicemails. Then I FINALLY was able to make an appointment and unfortunately had my son with me and she told me it was best to cancel appointment due to nature of appointment which is understandable but then when I asked her to reschedule she never got back. That's just really bad communication in my opinion. read more

Karina, a highly professional stylist took care of me. I first visited for a haircut, she patiently listened and complied with all my requests. She really knows what she is doing and takes the time to pursue great quality work. On my second visit I got highlights, and this was beyond great. The spacing, thickness, and most importantly the color came out excellent! I am a happy customer and will continue trying out different things I have been wanting to do for a long time but never trusted anyone to do so. She seems to be very busy, however it is a matter of coordinating and she will come up with the soonest slot when she can fit you in, also really little to no waiting time. With regards to the facilities, it is a clean and safe place, cubicles are separated through walls all the way to the ceiling so it is quite private, and parking is plenty around the place. Karina is super courteous, cool to be around, and surely knows how to adapt to meet your needs. read more

Highly recommended. I dont trust alot of people with my hair, it is very fine and easily damaged I am very picky about who I let touch my hair. Karina has an individualized approach and knows what you want and need for your hair. She wants to work with you to make sure you get the best results with the least amount of damage, meaning if she recommends 3-4 sessions to gradually get you to that perfect shade / lenght do it! Something I had to learn is you cant just go in once a year and expect your hair to be how you want it. this rating is solely based on my appointment making experience. i had called on a tuesday or wednesday and asked if there was any availability for the upcoming saturday morning. it was a last minute event and i was calling everywhere i could. she said 9 AM on saturday. i show up around 8:45 and call just to confirm my appointment. no answer. so i wait until a little after 9 and call again, she sounded like she was sleeping and told me she never took my appointment down. i couldn't believe it! i have never experienced something so unprofessional from a hair stylist. she offered to be there later today, but kept insisting i call back another day and she really sounded uninterested. again, this rating is not based on how she does hair, i have no idea. but my short experience was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. i had to frantically call all over for someone to squeeze me in that morning. read more
