We ordered pan fried salmon, scallops, seafood soup and lobster arancini during our first visit, and one can't ask for fresher ingredients. At the second time we were there, the special of the day was pan fried halibut with a pistachio crust. Again the fish was fresh and it was cooked to perfection. We also had a warm salad with beets, walnuts and chèvre (goat cheese) which complements the main course. The food there is not heavily seasoned or cooked with lots of grease. One can actually tastes real food which is both nourishing for the body and soul.

They say "gluten friendly" because the cooking surfaces might be shared but they are very careful. Most dishes can be prepared gf, including the beer battered fish and chips. They use gf beer. My 'skinny squirrel' latte (hazelnut flavor and something else?) was good but I could barely finish it after the two food items. The sandwich/wrap item of the day was ham and cheese and I'm vegetarian, so I couldn't get that. If I wanted a sandwich though, I'm sure they could make something...I just didn't ask to see. Prices are pretty standard for an independent place. While the coffee and hot chocolate we ordered was fine, the breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal. It is a quite limited menu, but they make the most of the options available for food. It was fairly busy when we stopped in which leads me to believe this is a pretty frequently visited early morning stop, and I can definitely see why. It gives you everything you need to wake up and get moving for the day.
