When I called, the front office assured me their technicians were experts in tankless water heaters and worked on them every day. They also stated they carried many common replacement parts and charged a standard $79 + tax service fee. Based on that representation, I scheduled a visit expecting a knowledgeable diagnosis and practical repair options. The experience was very different once the technician arrived. Within minutes, I was told that an investigation would cost approximately $500 for one hour. The original $79 service charge apparently only covered showing up and providing quotes. In all other interactions the initial fees covers 1 hr of work and is usually rolled into the final bill. When I asked for a breakdown of how $500 was justified for diagnostic work, I did not receive a reasonable explanation. What was even more concerning was the lack of apparent familiarity with a common tankless water heater issue. The technician indicated he needed to contact the manufacturer to understand the error code. Meanwhile, it took me 30 secs to find the error codes and I already had this information before the tech showed up. For a company that markets itself as tankless water heater specialists, that did not inspire confidence. They just wanted to charge me $500 at the very least for minimal work (like less than 10 mins). The biggest deal breaker came when I was told that if a part was needed, it would have to be ordered and could take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive. Being without hot water for potentially several weeks is simply not a realistic option for most homeowners. Rather than discussing practical alternatives, the recommendation quickly shifted to replacing the entire unit. I was quoted approximately $6,000 for a replacement tankless water heater. Knowing the rough market cost of the equipment itself, the quote seemed excessively high. I again asked for a breakdown of parts and labor but did not receive clear answers. What frustrated me most was the unwillingness to perform even basic troubleshooting without immediately escalating to expensive diagnostic fees. Something as simple as removing a few screws to inspect and potentially clean the ignition rod was apparently off the table unless I agreed to the much higher charge. After the technician left, I looked up the company's BBB complaints. Based on my experience, I can understand why other customers have raised concerns. In the end, I paid $88 and received no meaningful diagnosis, no practical repair path, and pricing that I found difficult to justify. I'm very glad I chose not to proceed further. While I cannot comment on the quality of their actual repair work, I can say that my experience left me with little confidence in their pricing practices, transparency, or troubleshooting approach. As this wasn't an emergency, the dispslatcher said it would be today or tomorrow before a plumber would be sent. He was sent today. Sean called and arrived early afternoon and looked at the repair. He presented us three options and solid estimates. We chose the middle one and then decided to also ask about a toilet replacement. Again, Sean presented us options and we agreed to one He gave us. As he didn't have the toilet on his repair truck, Bee's dispatched an employee with a new toilet. Sean was very professional in his work, answering questions as he proceeded with the work. He mentioned a couple of things that needed replacing due to their aging. We agreed to have them replaced. When Sean presented the invoice, it was exactly as he stated. At no time did he try to "upsell" items were didn't need, unlike other plumbing firms in this area that are heavy TV advertisers. I would recommend Bee's Plumbing to anyone that ask! Thank you, Sean! I picked the tub sealing option since it seemed most straight forward, again with no guarantee of fixing the leak. I asked why a tub caulking would be ~$900, and the technician began to oversell the difficulty of the job and the "high quality" sealant they would use. I approved the quote with that belief, only to see they did the job in 40 minutes and used a caulk that I could have bought in Lowes for $5. I've asked their management for a review and have been stonewalled. I had higher expectations for Bee's Plumbing given the reviews and referrals but left very disappointed. I've attached the caulk, tub caulking and contract from Bee's to show what happened. Would you pay $900 for this?

Counting the business owner, three plumbers came today. This time my initial request was to replace two faucets. The plumbers who came to give an estimate a week ago discovered that the cold water valve needed replacing. Notice must be given to building residents 3-4 days in advance of water shutoffs per my HOA rules. A few months after the first time I needed this plumbing company, a contractor working on remodeling my kitchen should have found the valve problem. But since he did not, the silver lining is the quality of the work by this company. I have complete faith that the replacement valve will work perfectly since they installed it. They showed me the plastic valve they replaced and how it would not turn at all. We all liked the faucets I chose for them to install. In the bathroom my glass waterfall faucet has LED lights to indicate cold, warm and hot water. After installing it the plumber showed me a video of the lights working before I went in to try it myself. The kitchen faucet is a Moen which looks nice to start with, and has some great functionality. As the handle is turned for the water the head floats down a little. Then it is possible to select an angle for the head to remain, for example 45 degrees. It will stay in the selected position while the water runs. The owner took a video for himself! Besides the top quality of the work, I appreciate the polite and respectful manners of the owner and all the plumbers.
