9/12/2026 After being treated rudely and hung up on by Matt from Moab Mobile Mechanic, (See my review for the full story), I came across the number for Gary's Lock, Key, and Towing. Despite the fact that it was a Saturday at 5:30am, Gary was super kind on the phone and was jumping my car's dead battery within 30 minutes. I highly recommend him and his adorable helper, his daughter! read more

Prompt and courteous and got the job done at a fair price. Seemingly available as needed.

Fast, friendly and accurate service at an off hour. Great folks and she even came out with her own lightsaber!!!!

We are out on family vacation hitting up national parks and lost our trailer keys. Gary was quick to the rescue, on Father's Day. He saved our vacation and we are truly grateful! read more

Gary showed up within 10 minutes of our call to unlock the keys from our car. A total pro, Gary not only unlocked the car in a professional manner, but he fixed the damage from a prior lock-out. Very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended. read more

Locked my keys in my car in MOAB - someone showed up to help get them out in less than 15 minutes and they were quick & helpful. Cost is around $60 but I can't really complain read more

In Moab it's hard to get timely service on short notice. Gary & his family got us squared away in an afternoon. They also helped reprogram an electronic combo front door lock for us & took time to show how we could do it. All our work was done quickly considering how much work was needed. read more

Gary saved us ! We lost our keys to the rental and Gary got us a new set, and back on the road ! read more

Gary is the nicest man, fairly priced and great at what he does. I was traveling from NYC to CA and stopped off at Moab to go to the arches national park when my sears car pod roof storage container key broke off inside the lock! I looked up locksmiths and Gary had great reviews. So I called and his office manager picked up and I told her what happened. He was out of town but on his way back. She called me back within 10 minutes and informed me of his expected eta and I met him at his office in the pouring rain!!!! I explained all my camping gear was in there and needed it and in 5-10 minutes he had the lock open, within 24hrs he had the key removed and fixed! $10 in cash to remove the carpod lock, $10 to pull the broken key out! Amazing, thorough and professional. I could not recommend Gary any higher! You won't be dissatisfied or disappointed. read more

We got to Moab and couldn't find the key to our bike rack lock. Gary was able to cut us a new key and was so quick. Thank you for saving our trip! read more

Gary is the only person you need to call. My jeep wouldn't start, after advice from my out of town mechanic he suggested calling a locksmith as my anti theft portion of my skim module may be out of Wack. Truck started of course after Gary picked my up from the hotel to where it was disabled. He suggested my Home Depot copied key was the issue. Having another original key with me that worked, I could be on my way and deal with it in Denver. He said, 20 bucks and your own your way. But being Sunday night at 10pm Gary deserved the business rather than someone who might not have gone out of their way and had him cut and program another key. Thank you Gary. Wish you all the best read more

We came back from riding the Harley through Arches, came back to our RV and the key broke while unlocking and got stuck in the door! The RV employee urged us to call Gary and "trust no one else". Gary came out when exactly when he said he would be there and removed the broken key from the door in about 15 seconds (after I had tried unsuccessfully for over 15 minutes). We could still use the deadbolt, but Gary said he could be back in half an hour with a new set of keys. However, we were just about to head out to go hike Corona arch, so Gary said "go have fun and call me when you get back." Amazing service! We came back and called him, less than 15 minutes later Gary was there with a new set of keys! He also gave us some advice on how to clean the interior of the door handle/locking mechanism. So, two round trips to our RV, removal of the broken key and two new keys, plus some advice.... Cost? $45! Honestly, we were expecting over twice that much. If you are ever in/around/near Moab and have issues with keys or locks, do NOT hesitate to call Gary. This kind of customer service is so hard to find. And when we were in a bind, he could have easily gouged us on the price. Thanks Gary! We wish you LOTS of business, you deserve it! read more

Gary was so kind and helpful! He came out to us to cut a set of keys for our RV while we were stopped in town and the process was quick and painless. Very reasonably priced and helpful! Thank you Gary! read more

Gary is the Man to see if you need a locksmith. He saved our family vacation from being a total disaster. We left our key to our tonneau truck cover in CA and were locked out from all our luggage. Gary was so kind to come out on a Sat and handcrafted a key in minutes. He is true key master. 5 stars is not enough... read more

Gary saved us too. The key broke off in our mountain bike lock. After he removed the broken piece he encouraged us to go play and have a fun visit in Moab. read more

We rent an RV from Salt Lake City. On our road trip to arch national park, the key for our storage bin was broken and we already locked 3 of them. Thankfully Gary saved our days. He is so nice and replaced the key in 10mins. And only charged us for $5! Definitely come if you need anything and you will be relieved. read more

Gary is a fantastic guy!!! He was out of town when I called him on his cell phone when we were locked out of our RV. Gary spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me walking thru how to diagnose the issue. He wasn't able to make it back into town but recommended a hardware store to get a key made cheaply and quickly. They got it done for us ... but funny enough they left a note in our key bag recommending Gary if the key didn't work. The key worked and our grand total cost was only $2!!! Gary saved us a ton of money and saved our vacation!! read more
