As fortune would have it I heard an advertisement on KGLN about a company from Grand Junction and thought I would give them a shot. The owner, Chad with Pride Plumbing made a special trip to my home and was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He worked with me on the price and suggestions on what was best needed for my house and I signed an agreement on the spot. The crew arrived on time and ready to go. They got started immediately and throughout the entire installation they would explain what was being done and I probably drove them crazy with all my questions. But they were patient and would stop to address my concerns. At the finish of the project they went above and beyond to even clean the old copper pipe to make it match the newer piping. They Did a FANTASTIC job on time and on budget. I want to commend those two techs: DERRICK FLINT and Isaiah their professionalism and kindness. That goes a long way for a satisfied customer. There is a callout fee of $97, which is in addition to time & materials. Payment is required upon completion of the work, and the service includes a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. Pride Plumbing uses a flat-rate pricing structure, so if you need itemized estimates or invoices separating materials and labor for an insurance claim (Xactimate), be aware of this limitation. They are not the cheapest option, but I believe the quality justifies the cost. Like many in the industry, they try to upsell additional services, whether necessary or not. Overall, I'd call Pride Plumbing again, especially for an emergency.

We recently had our swamp cooler serviced to get it ready for this summer with Nelson's Heating and…read moreRefrigeration, LLC in Moab, Utah at our new home. Technician came out, pleasant to work with. We provided him with pads (came with home) and we were informed by him that he would have to cut them down to make them fit. He did so, installed them and started our system. After 10 minutes of running, he left. Almost two weeks later, the cooler started pouring water everywhere. Called them to come check it out. We had the same tech arrive at our home, he climbed up to unit and after just a few minutes of inspection informed me that the previous owner installed pads wrong, they were oriented wrong causing the water to flow towards impeller and not down with gravity, so the blower wheel was pulling water to other side of cooler unit causing it to flood and drip everywhere. I reminded him that it was him who had cut the pads and installed them two weeks prior. He didn't acknowledge my remark and continued to explain to me how the wheel works by pulling air from pads and down into air ducts. I tried to inform him again that the pads were installed by him and he said, "Well the previous owner didn't have the right pads and they put them in wrong.". He was trying to convince me that he didn't put them in! I'm the new owner of the home and I'm the one who provided what we thought were the ones for the unit and he did the work! A week later we got billed. We had just paid $190.00 for the first visit, and now they are asking for another $80.00. I called two days later on a Friday and spoke with a very rude person who answers the phones at this place, and he said "someone will call you back." 20 minutes later I get an email with a new invoice discounted $40.00, but no call back. I called again three days later on a Monday, it was the weekend so I didn't expect them to be in their office much. I left a message that I was wanting to speak to someone about this invoice. Another three days pass again and I call them back. Today, Thursday (6/13/24). The rude receptionist guy answers the phone, and when I tell him my name he immediately gets hostile in tone. I gave him both invoice numbers, first one that stated the technician installed pads, and second one stating that he "found" improvised pads were installed incorrectly by the previous owner. Receptionist cut me off with a, "Let me tell you something!", "If you don't like it you can talk to the owner, he's sitting right here." I got passed on to the owner (who didn't want to hear anything I had to say. I was attempting to explain to him that his tech was the one who had installed them in the first place, but due to incorrect installation, the water was going towards the wheel and not down to the pan which resulted in water leaking all over the roof and in front of our sliding back door. His remark, "That's your opinion." "You either pay the bill or we blacklist you." WOW! How is stating a fact an opinion? Imagine going to McDonalds, ordering a cheeseburger, then making it wrong (leaving out the cheese), you go back around to the window and inform them that it's made wrong and you get a, "That's your opinion." and they charge you for having to add cheese to the burger. Because the previous restaurant made it wrong!!!! They are the previous restaurant!! I just circled back around to you!!!! I tried to be as courteous as possible during the call, the minute the owner started treating me as if I was attempting to get free service and "arguing". with him, I could no longer be courteous. How is one to react when an owner immediately gets on the phone and says, "I'm not talking about this with you. You either pay or we blacklist you." without hearing you out, or going over the invoices with you? I told them that had it been anything outside of poor workmanship we'd gladly pay the bill just like we did a week ago for almost $200.00. No questions asked. But when invoice states that pads were (copy/paste from invoice (6/6/24) , "FOUND IMPROVISED PADS THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD USED WERE INSTALLED SIDEWAYS. ORIENTED PADS VERTICALLY." It is dishonest that the technician would say this and ultimately the company is being dishonest about the work when they are ignoring previous job and comparing tech's notes. Here is the first invoice job description (5/22/24), "REMOVED COOLER COVER. REPLACED TWO CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PADS. REPLACED BELT. ADJUSTED DRAIN PUMP." I feel taken advantage of, scammed. This by definition is considered fraudulent business practices. Whether the owner knows it, or just sides with his guys. It sucks being on the receiving end of such poor business ethics.
