I have been a patient of Dr. Tobin for over 15 years. I had a lot of dental problem until i started going to Dr. Tobin. He has been the most informative dentist I have ever met. And I've been to a lot! He fixed all the poor workmanship from other dentists I had gone to. He explained in detail what my options are baed on my budget. He was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable about the procedures. He explained what needed to be done before we started and I am soooo happy with the quality of his work. I wouldn't recommend this dentist at all. The cost of dental work is VERY expensive and I have had two porcelain crowns done by him chip within a matter of only 2 years. There are much better dentists out there who will give far better and valid explanations and perform a better long lasting job..! read more

wish the previous rating was there a year ago. My experience was very similar...yes, the multiple appts for this and that, unnecessary replacement of filling which caused my tooth to crack, and I ended up with a root canal. He sold my son a set of retainers that he didn't need and billed us $500! The ins. co paid for half. Luckily, there is a grievance process with my insurance company, so they are now aware of his tactics and shabby work.. I do not recommend him to anyone... stay away. read more

I got lucky with a recommendation by two of my fellow employees. It is a rare treat where all the staff is not only knowledgeable but friendly. A plus is the parking is validated. I did not feel rushed by the process. They explain everything. Not a treat the pain. They are aware of potential problems and offer solutions. I wished my previous dentist was half as involved in my dental care. There is very clear plan of the work needed. It is nice to leave the office with my information in hand of the problems and costs. Gary is an outstanding and caring dentist, a man that really cares for his patients. Gary went above and beyond for me when I needed help he was there. I called him on his private cell since i had difficulty getting a prescription from him filled since the pharmacy claimed the form he used was out of date. He called me back and asked if I could go back to the pharmacy and call him from there to have the pharmacist talk to him directly to see what was wrong and get my pain medication filled, then on my way to the pharmacy he called me again to ask for information to start the new prescription and then asked how far i was away. He called again and said he was going to meet me there to get this sorted out with the pharmacist when i arrived he waited for me to make sure I got what I needed to have a restful and pain free night. I went to Dr. Tobin for the first time because my old dentist told me I needed a root canal. He spent time with me, reviewed my X-rays and told me to let him put a temporary crown in first because he did not believe I needed a root canal and said we would know if I needed to get a root canal if I was still in pain. It worked!!! Not only was he right but he saved me a lot of money and my crown is perfect:) the office staff is really attentive and nice. Very clean! Top notch equipment. read more

You could not find a more talented, caring, and knowledgable dentist in the valley if you tried. Dr.Tobin did a great job with my teeth. I unfortunately had a root canal and I did not feel a thing. My mouth is completely healed now and everything went perfectly. I switched dentists to Dr.Tobin because of all the amazing reviews I heard from friends and they did not exaggerate, he is honestly the best. He is also very good with children as I brought my daughter (age 10) who hates the dentists office, as most kids do, but she was fine and he kept her calm the whole time! I just recently started going to Dr. Tobin and he has been nothing less than wonderful. I came in with two implants that were ready for the implanted teeth and also with a broken crown and a chipped front tooth. His work was great and he is so nice. His assistant Michelle was so kind and helpful too. I just made my appt for my teeth cleaning with his dental hygienist, Jean Orenstein, who always takes such pride in her cleaning. She has been my hygienist ever since i can remember and i followed her to Dr. Tobins office. It's a win-win team! read more

WORST DENTIST EVER!!!! Listen to other reviewer...I had two fillings done and then I was in excruciating pain and had to have two root canals!! I then had a tooth break recently, and my new dentist informed me that the other filling he had done was "leaking and not sealed". I then had to get a crown on that tooth. Cost me thousands of dollars. And i don't know where the other reviewer has been, but this office was dirty and dated. It was "attempted" to look updated, but was superficial. I went to Dr.Tobin because I was looking for a new dentist and a lot of my friends who live in the valley recommended him to me. I looked on yelp and most of the reviews were stellar, but there were a couple that made me hesitate. I decided to go anyways. I can honestly say that those comments are completely off base. I had a wonderful experience here. I've always had trouble with dentists over charging me and not being honest, but Dr.Tobin was the complete opposite. He was completely honest and told me everything I needed to know to get my teeth to perfection. His prices were extremely fair and I felt extremely comfortable and safe on his hands.
