Usually I come in every 6 months and I fill out a reminder card which is usually sent to me ahead of my next appointment. But the past few times I have not received a card in the mail so when my appointment is due I'm not able to plan for it. Edna usually does the scheduling and working with her has gotten progressively difficult. Usually she can put me on a waiting list and call a day before to confirm, but this time she said I had to call to confirm. This is fine but I questioned why she couldn't call as usual, and she just gave a non-answer ending with "whatever". I couldn't believe the disrespect! Edna has never apologized for the inconvenience (even in the past), knowing that it's usually very difficult to reschedule. Appointments can be weeks to months out (there is only one hygienist left). Anyway I'll miss having Dr. Chu as my dentist but I won't tolerate anymore the attitude Edna has displayed toward me the past few years. Good luck

HMO Dental facilities are paid a certain amount to bring in a number of patients for a cleaning. If they don't show up, they actually get paid more. If they do show up, the dentist makes no money so ever on the cleaning. So what must an HMO dentists do. Up-charge and request all these extra things - it's the only way they make money. They actually don't make any money on a routine cleaning. Which is also why their cleanings last all of 5-10 minutes. (Why work for nothing they think?) A true cleaning from a Dentist (most likely PPO unless you found a great dentist on HMO) should be at least 30 minutes long when doing a thorough job. Remember, tartar is only removed in a professional cleaning. When you come into this facility your cleaning will last 5 minutes and on top of that they most likely will say "you know, you need a deep cleaning" or some other thing to make your situation feel worse and surprisingly need additional work. This is only how they make money. Whether it is the fast & lazy cleanings or the additional unnecessary work they will tell you needs to be done. Do not trust what they say, find another Dentist office.

I haven't had many issues with the actual procedures (I really only get cleaning / deep cleaning & check ups...I don't have a lot of dental issues so I can't speak on anything more invasive). Although they definitely try to upsell on procedures you don't need (including telling me I need a deep cleaning when the same dentist literally told me when I got it done in 2025 that I won't need another one for years), and charge your insurance as much as they can. Like most people, I don't like wasting my time and I don't like being lied to. Time to find a new place.

After setting up another date for a month later, they shoot me a text a few days before saying it's $525. WTH? So I set an appt at $250, and they text me to say they raised their prices instead of honoring the price I was given when setting the date? Just on principal from them "forgetting" to tell me of any fee to DOUBLING the fee I declined the new appointment and coming in altogether. Dr Goei is obviously getting pretty ambitious & could care less about how her greed falls on potential patients. Would be interesting in knowing how much her treatment prices have increased too. Anyway, thank god living in LA we all have TONS of options. His team - front desk and hygienists are friendly and fun. Pleasant waiting room. Usually not a long wait, they run on time here. Well I'm sure as long as everyone arrives on time/ early. Easy parking out front of building on Huntington Dr or shaded parking in structure just past entrance, can't miss it. Restrooms for the building are in hallway from parking structure, you have to get the key from Dr Sanchez's front desk. Not the cleanest restroom but keep in mind it is public for all offices in building.

She gives excellent Novocaine injections, those needles always seemed so big, this was a great experience, they have Nitrous Oxide also. I'm worried about one less thing, having been turned on to Dr.Mary! They accept some insurance plans.
