We have mixed experiences with company, trending negative. We called them last summer for an AC issue which they fixed promptly and at reasonable cost. A request this winter for routine furnace check up couldn't be scheduled until four weeks later. At that time also asked for an estimate for furnace replacement for which a tech was available the same day. Tech promised to send us a quote that night - the quote never arrived despite multiple requests. The tech who came out for the routine check up verified our observation that the control panel of the humidifier was not working and promised to send us a quote for replacement. Guess what - quote never arrived. We paid $205 + credit card fees for the visit but never received a statement of work or even a receipt. On the plus side the techs come out at the scheduled time, seem knowledgeable, and behave professionally. Too bad they don't have time to send out promised quotes! read more

Incredible Service, Honest and Know True Meaning of Customer Service I have a friend who always says, businesses now always act as if their motto is "The customer is always wrong." I am glad to be able to recommend a company that won't treat you like that. About 4 years ago, I started looking for a nearby company that could service my generator. I found one and was close to signing a contract with them, but I had to keep on calling them requesting that they send me a brochure showing everything that was going to be checked on the generator and included in the price. When I finally received the information, I had some questions but couldn't find anyone at the company who could give me a straight answer. I kept on hearing, "someone will call you back" or "someone will email you." Never happened. And, everyone who I was able to talk to gave me different answers so decided to keep looking. Gary P. Frank quickly responded to my request for a brochure and sent it via email. It was clearly and thoroughly written. There was a person who was a key staff member in charge of answering customers' questions and she was responsive and knowledgeable. When there was one question she couldn't answer, she suggested I call the owner, Gary, and I did. I left a voice mail and he quickly responded. It was impressive to be able to talk to him about my concern. Since then, a WONDERFUL technician, James, has come twice a year to service the generator. He is amazing - so thorough and willing to spend the time answering questions and explaining what he did and found with the generator. He has always been dedicated to making sure we are pleased with the service he provides. Today, when he came, he told me he is always looking out for the customer because that is the way Gary trained him and that is the way Gary is - dedicated to making his customer happy and being proud of his staff. Thank heavens Guy from Gary P. Frank, Inc. was able to come out on a Sunday, because our AC quit on a 90+ degree day and the temps in the house were close to 100 with all the windows open. Perfectly professional: the kind of person who had all his tools in order, went through his checklist (explaining what he was doing throughout), and quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty capacitor. Replaced the unit with one from his truck and the house is cooling down again. Then helped clean up the condenser unit with the hose. Took about 30 minutes in total. Note that I'd already had someone else come out to look at the problem who told me I'd probably have to replace the $1800 condenser, which would take a few days. Guy from GPF charged me $55 for the part and $277 for the emergency (Sunday afternoon) call, for a total of $332. Damned reasonable, and it took 30 minutes. Glad I got a second opinion, and glad I found GPF, Inc. Highly recommended. read more

As new homeowners the last thing you want to do is replace a furnace. Gary Frank made the entire process way less painful. We met with Ricky who explained the process and worked directly with our GC who was helping with other repairs in the basement. The install was great and the system works wonderfully. We had an issue with our older, upstairs heat pump and David showed up to the service call. He was incredibly nice and explained everything. We were bracing for the news that we'd need to replace this system as well. David calmed our fears and in fact hooked us up with a service contract. read more

James with Gary P. Frank recently worked on our AC unit. He came on time on the day of the appointment, reloaded the refrigerant at a very competitive rate. He focused on only fixing what was needed at a good rate (no sales talk! Refreshing!) A few days later, the AC unit stopped working again. James came back diligently, found an old cable with bad insulation, and fixed it for free as part of the first repair. Very happy with Gary P. Frank for a first experience. read more

They showed up on time and didn't try any foolery or up-charges come billing time. We worked with Ricky for a small condo building and really appreciated how communicative and on time he was. The quote they provided to reconnect and weatherize our ducts for a large HVAC unit was in the middle of the quotes we received but we decided to go with them because they remained communicative and helpful and coordinated with our roofers to make sure everything happened in the correct order. I will definitely call them first whenever I need HVAC work for my personal property. Just a note that as of now they don't have a way to pay electronically, only cash, check or over phone via credit card with a 3% fee. read more

They listen and they provide solutions and actual followup, what a concept! They diagnosed issues with my geothermal unit that previous contractors missed and brought my humidifier back to life. My 93 year old dad was taken by ambulance for a suspected stroke On Saturday (at the beginning of a heat wave) My mom informed me that the AC was not workin and texted your company's name to me. Called the emergency number and Jordi answered right away. He informed me that my parents had a contract for their generator. He agreed to come out within the hour for the off hour diagnostic fee. The problem was the capacitor and he replaced it at no cost! He was very thorough and went over everything to make sure there are no other problem. unfortunately dad came home and had some falls and had to go back to the hospital. My sister blamed me and your company as the AC worked too well and he got up in the middle of the night to get a blanket and fell. I will take the blame on that one! The experience was smooth from start to finish. We got a great price on a new unit to replace our 36 year old air conditioner and it was expertly installed. We had a hot water fail and start leaking recently on a Friday evening. David C explained over the phone how to drain the tank so we wouldn't have 50 gal of water flooding our basement. I got estimates from 6 companies to install a mini split system upstairs with a bit of a complicated run of wiring. David was great -- he was straight forward, did not try to upsell me, and told me exactly what would work and wouldn't. His price was lower than most, and given his honesty and the fact that he did what he said he would do, it was the best value. My recommendation is to stop looking for another HVAC contractor and hire Gary P Frank immediately. We spoke with several other contractors, large and small companies, about replacing our HVAC system. Our Gary P Frank team, led by Ricky Terrazas (who we highly recommend asking for), were prompt, courteous, professional, affordable, constantly communicated with us, and perhaps most importantly, did an incredible job with our HVAC replacement. We literally had them rip out all of the existing duct work in our basement and put a new unit in. The new system runs perfectly. We could not be happier with the service we received. In fact, because they did such an incredible job with the replacement of the first unit, we had them replace our second HVAC system as well! As an aside, as a sign of a truly well run company dedicated to excellent customer service, in upgrading our HVAC, we were dropping our furnace heating from 200k BTUs with 80% efficiency to a lower amount. I was worried about dropping it too much and initially asked for a 120k 97% efficient system. Ricky had Gary Frank (the owner of the company) himself come out and take a look at our house, after which they recommended an 80k unit. It's a huge drop in heat load but they insisted on running a manual J to test the heat load needed on our house. I'm glad they pushed me to do that because it showed clearly 80k was plenty of heat! To me, that was a clear sign of a great company focused on getting their customers the right product, not the most expensive one. My true recommendation is to stop looking around for an HVAC company and call this company to help you. You won't regret it. read more

Frank as an authorized inspector. I called them to schedule an appointment, and was given a date and time within the coming week, and like clockwork their tech was there as promised. The technician, James Westly was one of the most professional and knowledgeable person that has ever been sent to us from any company. He took care of the problem, offered suggestions as to what to be done in the future, and also sealed every leak that the original installer had overlooked. He has won us over, and if there is ever a need for someone to do work on our generator they are on speed dial now. Came promptly whenever I had a problem. Excellent technicians. For the last 2 years, the phone is never answered, messages never returned. I had to contact a driver of one of their vans in a parking lot to get someone to call me back. Even called the emergency number once. Last year, Gary P. Frank, Inc., installed a new AC unit and we were very satisfied with the work of the technicians and the performance of the unit. In early May, 2014, apparently due to a power surge following a power outage, the compressor and its wires were destroyed. Gary assessed the situation, installed a new unit, submitted a claim on our behalf to the AC manufacturer and assisted us in filing an insurance claim. In addition, while the crew was installing the new AC, they detected a gas leak in the near by gas generator and other major flaws in the installation of the unit which was done by another contractor. The crew fixed all of the above at no charge. We were very satisfied with the service provided and highly recommend this firm. read more
