I'm from New Orleans and I moved to the DFW area in 2015. My teeth had plague that I could brush off and there were some sensitive spots. So I knew I needed to go to a dentist but I was concerned about the sensitive spots. But my concerns were lifted. The staff took me step by step through the procedures, cost, and recommendations. Most importantly, they noted my sensitive areas and cleaned them without much pain. I didn't know the sensitive areas were cleaned until I got home and stared at the mirror for about a hour. I can't say the same for everyone. But they definitely took care of me. I recommend them to others and can't wait to go back later this month.

BUT ONE MINUTE LATER a Caucasian male walked in and she was super sweet as pie to him and said "Hello! How can I help you Sir? What is your name please?" Totally different treatment like night and day. She treated him with the utmost respect in front of me one minute after she treated me like crap. When I complained they told me to find another dentist which I did. My dentist who I have been with for years now is a million times better than this one. The old female who is the receptionist is a miserable hateful person who dislikes Asians obviously. Their lame response below "We are sorry you feel this way" is NOT an apology. It is a non-apology that has no empathy and has no accountability for the receptionist's rudeness; and they are implying that my feelings are the problem. It is a really crappy and fake response that reflects their lack of empathy.

When I get there and confirm my charges, they changed that $150 to $250 then when I said no to that amount and stated that I wouldn't go through with the appointment, they said they were going to add an additional amount to their ridiculous cancellation fee. This place is a joke. Please do not choose and trust this dentistry to something as important as your teeth. The one star rating was just because Dr Marshall was friendly.

His hygienists have always been top-notch, and my current hygienist, Rhonda, carries on that tradition well. All of the office staff are very professional and friendly. In addition to my routine cleanings I have had several crowns and fillings and I have a long-term "pocket" behind one of my molars where there was incomplete closure after wisdom teeth removal in the army 40+ years ago! Dr. Givan always checks this very carefully and he and I are able to manage this to both of our satisfactions. Despite the fact I am a retired cancer physician, I have to confess to letting a white spot on my tongue go untreated for many years, despite Dr. Givan recommendations that I have it further evaluated. As it turned out I developed a small cancer there that was removed by Dr. Jesse Smith (Head and neck surgery, also an excellent physician!) and Dr. Givan continues to keep a close eye on this area. I have always spoken to Jamie and Cristina at the front desk and this new lady thinks very highly of herself. Then I'm really confused who did my root canals and multiple crowns and fillings throughout this whole time. As a domestic abuse survivor, getting yelled at by a man is a huge trigger because my body absolutely feels like I'm going to get striked across the face next.
