This is not a deal breaker for me even though I think patients should be given thorough details of everything as any surgery can bring on anxiety. The real problem for me was after. Immediately upon leaving this facility I realized I no longer had my drivers license and I knew I just had it for this appointment. I called and asked if it fell out my pocket during the procedure, the lady who answered told me she would check and call back if she found it. I didn't hear back and they were closed on the weekend so I called again the following Monday. The lady on the phone chuckled and said if they found an ID they definitely would've called me. I was stomped because I knew that was the only place I went that day and my license was missing and I just had it. That appointment was in February, fast forward to now which is June. I get a call from their facility telling me they found my drivers license crammed into their dental chair and asking if I'd like it mailed to me. This immediately raised concerns for me. Why are you not thoroughly cleaning your dental chairs? And why is it that I called twice and nobody checked the chair I laid on? I felt like this was so unprofessional, especially because I went through so much to replace my license. When I expressed my concern it was dismissed, no apologies or anything. I would never give this place my business again and I don't recommend anyone else does until they learn how to sanitize after every patient.

After performing a few x-rays, both regular and 360, I saw Dr. Rickoff who asked a lot of questions to ensure that the circumstances leading up to the visit were consistent with what he suspected. After discussing the options, I decided to have a root canal performed immediately. Both Dr. Rickoff and the nurse were very compassionate and ensured they did what they could to keep me comfortable and calm throughout the procedure. All of the staff members with whom I interacted were professional and courteous. I had a few concerns the next day following the procedure and although the person who answered the phone tried to reassure me that this was normal, I still wanted to be sure to run it by the doctor himself. He called me back almost immediately and gave me some peace of mind. He was also in close communication with my regular dentist to ensure continuity of care. Although you hope that you never have to see an endodontist, if you do, this seems like a good office to visit.

People talk about root canals like they are life changing, negative experiences. Again, I was terrified. However, I showed up for my 7:15 am appointment. Again, I was greeted warmly. When I was called back to my room, the dental assistant, Mallory, offered me a neck pillow and a blanket, which I quickly accepted. She was kind and reassuring, offering to answer any questions. Dr. Waters arrived, and he, too, had a wonderful manner - friendly and upbeat. Both assured me the process would be quick and pain-free. They were right. The only thing I felt was the numbing shot (and that was not bad at all). I have not experienced any pain or discomfort at all. I've had similar experiences being asked to reschedule my appointment, getting several bills and being ask onsite to pay for an amount I've already already paid, etc. Also, since there are several Sage dental offices, there seems to be a lack of integration between the corporate office's system and the local Tucker office's system resulting in multiple calls from Sage regarding the same issue. Now the question is, whether this is all due human error or system error.... I find most of the staff at this location to be friendly but I'm still deciding if the friendly staff is enough to stay.
