If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

A special thank you to Sam, who brought me to the back and immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. She reassured me that I was in great hands, and she was absolutely right! My hygienist, Shannon, was outstanding. She took the time to explain everything she was doing throughout my appointment and patiently answered every question and concern I had. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made the entire experience so much less stressful. The doctor (I believe it was Dr.Baker or Dr.James Abbott) was also incredibly informative and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I truly appreciated how everyone made me feel heard and cared for. I am so grateful that I was referred to Dental TLC. It's rare to find a team that is so welcoming, professional, and compassionate. Thank you to Sam, Shannon, and the entire staff for making my first visit such a positive one. I look forward to continuing my dental care with you all!

I'm sharing this review with the hope that it brings more transparency and training to this…read morepractice's approach and serves as a heads-up to first-time patients. During my first visit, I expected a routine cleaning, as is standard at most dental offices. Instead, I paid around $100 for x-rays and a session where the dentist briefly brushed and flossed my teeth, demonstrated a new flossing technique focused on gum health, and measured gum pocket depth. I was then told to follow this routine at home and return in six weeks to assess any changes--no cleaning was performed at that first visit. At the follow-up appointment, I was seen by a different dental hygienist whose overly cheerful and rehearsed demeanor felt disingenuous. While she wasn't overtly rude, the interaction felt hollow and uncomfortable, which added to my unease. During the cleaning, she made a snide comment about my dental habits and then completed the rest of the procedure without much communication. I also noticed an unpleasant personal odor, which was surprising and concerning given the setting. Hygiene and professionalism are especially important in a dental care environment, and this contributed to a sense that standards were not being met. Unfortunately, during this visit, I believe the hygienist injured my gums multiple times due to a careless approach in handling sharp instruments. One area in particular has remained inflamed and possibly infected ever since. There was no review or inspection with the dentist afterward, which I had expected based on past experiences at other dental offices. As I was walked to the checkout counter, the hygienist casually mentioned that I "might need antibiotics" in six months if the issue with my gums didn't resolve -- an issue I am not sure I had walking in to this appointment. I never saw the dentist again during that visit, and no additional guidance or follow-up was provided beyond the flossing and brushing routine recommended weeks earlier. This entire experience left me shaken and disappointed. I have no history of gum issues or needing oral antibiotics, and this visit left me worse off than when I arrived. I haven't felt comfortable speaking up, but I'm sharing this because no one should leave a dental visit with lingering pain or uncertainty about the care they received. I genuinely hope this office takes the opportunity to improve how it communicates services upfront and invests in better training for staff--especially when it comes to patient care, professionalism, and technique. Patients deserve clear communication and quality care that prioritizes their well-being and comfort.

Although the place looks nice and the staff seem nice, don't be deceived. My bf and i walked down and spoke with the front desk about an appt. I gave her my insurance and instructed her to notate in my chart that all services needed to be pre cleared with insurance before appt bc I am legally disabled, on a very limited fixed income, and could not afford anything not covered. At the end of Sept I spoke with the Insurance person, Lura, regarding my coverage. On the phone I also informed her about pre-clearing my services and she told me no problem. At the 1st of the month she ran my insurance and told me I was good to go. To me, this means that she called the insurance company and made sure the preventative services were covered. Otherwise I would've hoped that she'd advise me to find an in-network provider who did cover the care. But she didn't do that. Just a go ahead to come to the appt. Day of appt, I signed the forms, including the financial responsibility forms, under the assumption that I was pre-cleared for my services. Boy was I wrong. I received a $325 bill for services- which is astronomical for someone on a tight budget. When I reached out to Lura I received the exact response that I was expecting-- reference to signing the financial responsibility agreement and that it was my responsibility. How unsympathetic can you be to not even do the proper insurance verification on a patient specifically requesting it for financial reasons, and then surprise billing them. It's just completely dishonest and wrong when the patient is greatly depending on the services to be covered. I highly recommend finding a dentist that works in network. I found others on Yelp with the same exact complaint as I had- being told out of network insurance is accepted and then getting a surprise bill. In order to avoid this- find an in-network provider or pre-pay.

Either they just don't care or the left hand has absolutely no idea what the right is doing. Everything looks great and I suppose is intended to be impressive with all the latest tech etc. but when a customer experiences as many issues, mishaps, lack of communication, etc. as I have, then none of that matters. I would encourage the office to focus on the level of service provided to your customers and a little less on having all the latest gizmos. Anyone that believes any of that matters while delivering the poorest customer experience ever (what a title to inherit) is sadly mistaken. I literally picked the office due to the glowing reviews but I would advise anyone who likes to avoid hassle and headache to absolutely stay away. Involving the office manager has not seemed to have made the least bit of difference either. I cannot wait for my treatment to be done (IF that EVER happens) so I can find somewhere else in a hurry.
