The apartments are bright and clean with great amenities and features, such as full size fridge and washer/dryer combo. But I think what really sets the Residentas Apostolos apart from any hotel is the service! We stayed in the one bedroom apartment for 4 nights with our 6 month old baby boy during a birthday trip. We had worked out the need for a baby cot with Inês ahead of time and when we arrived we found the cot setup and even a little stuffed pig ready for our baby to play with and keep (we've called the pig porco, Portuguese for pig and sounds a little like Porto...though that's confusing being "from" Lisbon). In addition we found the dining table set and a slice of cake, candle, and a card waiting for me. We hadn't mentioned that it was my birthday the day of our arrival, but getting the information off our documents they prepared the treat/surprise for us! The fridge had some basics like a few eggs, cheese, juice, and water. The kitchen had all the essentials, like dish soap, laundry detergent, tablets for the dishwasher, and all the plates and utensils we needed for our stay. Mid-way through our trip we also arrived home one day to find pasteis de nata waiting for us on the table as well! The Residentas team was also able to provide us with recommendations and setup airport shuttle service via Whatsapp whenever we needed them, and were always warm and courteous. And for only €60/night, we can easily recommend this set of apartments to everyone!

The in room bathroom is quite confined but on them functional, little issue with the shower door but nothing maintenance can't do The "guest service" will provide a door code to get into the building and another one to access your room.. brilliant! Unfortunately the room door overlooks the staircase and for some reason it's very loud out there. In the morning you can hear every single footstep and every voice and more..DEFINITELY earplugs are suggested if not needed. We stayed on the first floor and the bathroom smells like sewage especially in the morning (don't know about the upper floors). The overall balance is positive with little things to fix to make stay more enjoyable.

We couldn't have picked a better place than this. It was centrally located to shopping, metro station and the commerce square. We loved having room service every day and the place itself was very quiet. Very modern, new and clean facility. We picked the one bedroom apartment that sleeps 4. Kids had a sofa bed with a trundle which was very comfortable. There is a small market where we stocked up on our basic breakfast items for the week. Market stays open late which was very convenient too. There is no reception so they provide you with a door code and an apartment code so you can be in and out of the building without any inconvenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling with or without kids.

Great Wi-Fi. https://www.speedtest.net/result/i/5870254260 ( 347 down 85 up ) A very well laid out kitchen. Roomy area for dining table. Nice little patio with pretty view of other buildings that are lit up at night and a building with a wall of solid plants in planters like the kind you see in some restaurants, but in this case, it's the entire side of the building (very cool) Tiny two person elevators and *maybe* bags fit with you. We were on the first floor so it didn't matter for us. Walking distance to all sorts of nightlife and restaurants, as well as the shopping district.

The beds are comfy and everything is immaculate inside the apartments and in the common areas. Useful to know: *Coffee makers (similar to Nespresso) are in each apartment and coffee pods are available in the basement honor bar. * Take shorter showers as the water tanks are "European sized". Two people can easily take luxurious showers but don't over do it. * All entries are coded so no keys to lose. *. You will get 2-3 reminders prior to check in with details and the codes. Very nice if you are the sort to misplace such things. * Easy to walk most everywhere from this location. Have stayed here twice now and will return again, no doubt.

Bairro Alto, Bairro Alto - Bica - Cais do Sodré

(Note: I have updated my review after our most recent visit.)…read more We spent our 3rd stay at Hello Lisbon's Bairro Alto property in September, 2018. This may be our last time. We were accustomed to their check-in procedure. As there are no humans on-site, you are sent a code to the front door. If it is before check-in time, you can drop off your luggage in a locker. The room we stayed in on the first floor was no different than before - Ikea kitchen, a comfy bed, windows overlooking the craziness of Bairro Alto. But here are our complaints, after staying here twice before... 1. We arrived in Lisbon at 6AM and went to drop off our bags. The code we were given via email for the front door did not work. We used the outside intercom to contact Hello Lisbon and they provided 3 other codes before the last finally worked. ... You don't want to be standing outside with your luggage trying to get in. That's completely unacceptable. 2. When we checked-in later, the new kiosk kept saying that it was unable to connect for processing our credit card for the hotel taxes. We then tried a debit card and it kept spinning, too. My wife told me to just punch in the PIN, even though the card reader didn't say to do that, and voila, we were in. -- These new kiosks are a complete waste of money and are not user-friendly. Scanning your passport is a complete PITA. You have to position it EXACTLY in a certain spot, which you will quickly learn after numerous failed attempts. There is also no air-conditioning in this area, so you can expect to lose a couple of pounds whilst getting frustrated with this new process. 3. The shampoo/conditioner/bodywash dispener has been removed from the shower, but the remains of the connectors were still on the tile. This wasn't attractive and I wasn't happy with the quality of the generic typical hotel bottles of those products provided. The previous dispenser was also environmentally-friendly. Disposing of multiple plastic bottles daily is not. 4. Knowing this property, we were prepared to wash some clothes before our departure to the Algarve. Unfortunately, no instructions were provided on how to use the combo washer/dryer. These machines are not the standard in the USA. Although I lived in Europe for 10 years (15 years ago), we had no idea how to use the machine. Instructions would be appreciated. We stayed at Santos property after our weekend in the Algarve. We encountered similar problems. Although the front door code worked, the code provided for the room door did not (and we had to call, again, whilst sweating in the stairwell). There were no instructions for the washer/dryer. The shower dispenser was gone and no hygiene products were provided. We used to love Hello Lisbon but it's going downhill. There are numerous other serviced apartment hotels in the area. We will be looking at them for our next visit. That saddens me, because we always wanted to stay at Hello Lisbon.
