So I did end up finding my dress here, but I will keep this review very objective. Pros: Really beautiful store, well organized with very good selection. There's something here for everyone from a price point and style perspective. I felt that the owner Mia did a really good job of only showing me styles within my budget. Very much appreciated this and she had some great recs. The dress I ultimately chose was one she pulled for me based on what I was leaning towards. COVID protocol: Gave me gloves when I was picking out dresses. We had to wash our hands before entering, masks on the entire time but no temp check. It's not super crowded and I think they have 2 appointments at a time max. Cons: If get Mia as your stylist don't expect warm and fuzzies. She's very direct and efficient and not there to flatter you just to make the sale (which is fine, but I didn't feel like I was treated like a potential customer). Given that I don't live in MD and my wedding is far into the future I didn't feel like Mia took my purchasing intention seriously. I did not appreciate not being pushed into buying, but didn't feel overwhelmingly catered to either. Other thing that put me off was the fact that she didn't tell me the dress designer and name when I left (I didn't make the purchase that say, had to think about it and then went back for measuring a few weeks later).

I can't recommend Garnish Boutique enough! Primarily, it was beyond evident that they took the COVID-19 restrictions very seriously, ensuring we wash our hands before entering and all staff wearing masks. It made my feel very confident that the store was taking its best measures to ensure the safety of their guests. Secondly, Mia was great! She pulled every dress that had my one desire and was very patient with me as I went back and forth between two dresses. She gave my mom, Maid of Honor, and I space as we decided upon MY dress! I was so excited to say "Yes to the Dress!" At Garnish Boutique. She also allowed me to come back after I went to my last appointment of the day, to try my gown back on before I committed. It was evident she was determined to make sure I was confident in my decision, but did not pressure me at all to make a decision that day! Overall, the boutique is SO cute & their collection of dresses are some of the most beautiful ones I tried on throughout my experience. I highly recommend you add this to your list of places to make an appointment when looking for your wedding dress! Wow- I am so much more excited for the big day & just want my dress to come in. Thank you to the Garnish Boutique staff!

absolutely loved working with the team at Garnish Boutique! It was my first bridal store when shopping for my wedding dress, and I was shocked that I found it and didn't have to go to any other appointments. The boutique is the perfect size -- has a large and diverse selection, but not so large that you're immediately overwhelmed by options. The consultant lets you pick a few and then she'll gauge what to grab as you try them on and give feedback. It was completely stress-less and easy, and the prices were more than reasonable in my opinion. While they don't do tailoring in the shop, the tailor they recommend and work with regularly is absolutely amazing and she did a beautiful job with my dress. 10000% would recommend shopping here!

My experience with Mia and Garnish Boutique was nothing short of amazing. I actually already had a wedding gown and was shopping around for bridesmaid dresses when I came to Garnish. A couple of my bridesmaids, who live in the DC area, tried on a beautiful dress at another boutique in Bethesda, but I didn't really appreciate the pressure from the saleswoman and the price was a bit steep for some of my bridesmaids. I came to Garnish so that my bridesmaids in the Baltimore area could try on the same dress. Not only was Mia way more relaxed and down-to-earth than the Bethesda lady, but she offered an amazing group discount! As my bridesmaids were trying on different gowns, I started to browse through the sample wedding gowns in the store. There was a bag that was all zipped up and I got curious as to what was inside. BEHOLD! A beautiful wedding gown that I was DYING to try on! I tried it on and I fell in love with it as my bridesmaids were behind me ooooh-ing and aaaaah-ing. Mia did not pressure me to make any purchases that day, but she did tell me that there would be an even larger discount on the bridesmaid dresses AND the wedding gown if we did decide to purchase them all. I went home and slept on it for about a month before I decided to purchase ANOTHER wedding gown and Mia remembered me and was super cool about everything. In fact, there was a Jim Hjelm/Tara Keely trunk show and I was able to add buttons down the back of my gown for an extremely discounted price. The wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns all came in way earlier than expected and everyone loved them all. Now I have to sell the first wedding gown I purchased and never wore.

In this whole mess of being a Covid bride, Garnish Boutique was the *one* absolutely flawless experience I had! I fell in love with the designer Anna Campbell and drove down from Philly to find "the dress." Well not only did I find the dress, I also found the Veil, Earrings and most attentive, wonderful and thoughtful staff you could imagine. If you are or know a Covid bride you know the planning and prep has been a non-stop rollercoaster of emotions and changed plans, but any time I reached out to Mia at Garnish Boutique to stress about whether my dress would arrive on time, she was so polite, sweet and honest with any updates she could provide. She even face timed me when I decided last minute that I wanted a certain veil after searching high and low to find it. To say I am truly impressed and grateful to Garnish Boutique would be the understatement of 2020. I would give them 10 stars if I could

My experience at Garnish Boutique was absolutely a dream come true!!! This was actually my very first wedding dress fitting EVER and I walked out on cloud nine. There was plenty of parking at the building - both in front and back. *Note- the store sign is on the front of the building but you have to walk to the side and up the stairs to get to the store entrance. My bridesmaids and I were greeted right away by the store owner Mia. She showed us to a beautifully decorated room with a comfy couch and table to put down our coats and bags. Mia then showed us each section of the store which was organized by designer and dress style which made it SO easy to look through! She even showed us that the tags had the prices clearly marked so that I would easily be able to stay in budget. I had no idea what I was really looking for when I came in but Katie (our dress consultant) made the experience the best I could ask for! Katie made me feel so comfortable with getting in and out of dresses and never rushed me. She was really so sweet and respectful! She laughed along with my bridesmaids and would listen to their advice while also making sure that I was really happy with what I was wearing. I thought I wanted a more fitted dress but Katie suggested I try on a Blue Willow by Ann Barge dress that was in a ballgown style. I was hesitant at first but as soon as I tried it on and walked out of the fitting room- a hush came over everyone followed by loud squeals of delight! This was the one!! The dress even had a gorgeous long veil that came with it and both the dress and veil were 50% off because they were on the sample sale rack! I was blown away by the fact that even though my bridesmaids pressured me to buy the dress, Mia and Katie did not once pressure me to make a decision right away. In fact, they urged me to put the dress on hold and consult my fiance and mother regarding the finances first. I was so thankful for that! I have not yet purchased my dress but am convinced that I will soon be a Garnish bride! **Also my appointment was scheduled for 11-12 pm but Mia let me stay to try on dresses until 1 PM!!! If you're looking for a wedding dress for the first time- be sure to check out Garnish Boutique!! Edit- I purchased the dress shortly after and it was a GREAT decision! It came out so well in pictures!

I highly recommend Garnish Boutique. I had my first appointment on March 5 for an elopement on August 2. Those who know wedding dress shopping know this is already cutting the timing a bit close. Mia was able to check shipping dates while I was in the store so I knew what would arrive in time. I fell in love with the Anna Kara Primrose. The dressing room was private, spacious, and clean. There was plenty of natural light in the main area where I was looking at the dresses in the mirror. My friends and I were allowed to take photos of the dresses (some places aren't okay with this!) and it was so helpful being able to reference these when I had to make a decision. The Anna Kara factory had delayed production due to a number of covid infections and this delayed my dress shipment. Mia was all over it and kept me apprised of dress updates, shipping, etc. She was always very reassuring and kind while I was stressing about the timing of everything. She communicated directly with the seamstress to make sure alterations were done expeditiously due to the delayed shipment. Everything came together with time to spare and I absolutely love my dress.

I was on the hunt for a bridal dress…read moreand tried everything from a lace slip dress by Free People, to scoping out dresses amongst the masses at the scary David's Bridal, to trekking to Georgetown to the J. Crew Bridal only to be unimpressed, and finally stopping by Francesca's Bridal in Baltimore. Despite seeing several dresses I liked, I knew I wanted to have mine made. My mother is an avid reader of The Washington Post and had seen an article about Jill and her involvement with a Johns Hopkins team redesigning Ebola suits. I realized that her atelier is located in Hampden just a few minutes from where I live. I contacted her team prior to beginning my search and they let me know the price range and options. I decided to keep looking but ultimately reached out again months later and scheduled an appointment. As soon as I walked through the door I knew it would be a great endeavor. Jill is just the most lovely woman and despite creating intricate, complex, elegant, and stunning dresses was not at all snobbish or intimidating but accessible and spot on with my vision of the gown. She drew a sketch and that was that! Every little detail was incorporated, for the most part on that first day, with neat additions later on during the process. She is such a pro that she guessed by sight my measurements at my first fitting. Jill's original assistant Mia, moved out of Baltimore and was replaced by Sarah. Both women are wonderful, stylish, muses for the studio and the transition was seamless. I followed up to confirm an appointment and Sarah promptly responded. There were a few tragic, unforeseen events which meant changing appointments, but I was so impressed with Jill's utter dedication to her clients. The JAG team was always focused on the final product and their continued expert pacing. The dress creation is a process but the most fun and luxurious one a bride can imagine. If you or someone you know is tying the knot soon and wants to have a couture dress to wear and cherish for years to come, contact the Jill Andrews team. I can assure you, Jill delivers exactly what you have in mind. I've seen her creations from beach/boho to Alice in Wonderland and even Christian Dior style corset underpinnings. The best part of my dress was the Sophie Hallette lace which supplies to Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino. It really helped the whimsical Midsummer Night's Dream aesthetic I was going for. They also sell bridal mix + match separates, fascinators, and do dress alterations.

(As was Mia, Jill's assistant.) Their studio looks like something out of a movie or a fairy tale, full of beautiful fabric, dress forms modeling Jill's fantastic creations, mirrors, antique furniture (to match their wonderful historic building), and about a million sewing machines. Jill was very reassuring about repairing my dress, which was especially important to me since I'd had such a bad experience previously. I never doubted her capabilities, and was continually impressed with how meticulous she was, catching details that even I had overlooked. She treated my silk dress very gently, and did her best to undo the damage that had been done. She asked lots of questions and took notes during the initial consultation, and took even more measurements and notes at our second appointment. By the third appointment, the dress was nearly complete and everything had been done beautifully! She only had another hour of work left on it, so offered to drop it off at my home when it was finished. Above and beyond! The quality of Jill's work is amazing. She took the back of my dress, which was cut up and fraying, and put in a gorgeous corset back. She even reinforced the seams to be extra sure everything would lace evenly and hold up under stress. Jill also removed yards of unevenly sewn tulle--which I'm sure took a very gentle touch--and replaced it with properly gathered and sewn tulle. When she was done, my dress looked even better than when I'd bought it. So basically, whether you've got a damaged dress, a vintage dress in need of alterations, or an imaginary dress you've been dreaming of your whole life, Jill's your gal! Jill saved my wedding dress when I'd given up hope on it, and I am so thankful that she was a part of one of the most important days of my life.

I live in NC and took my dress all the way to Maryland when visiting family to get it altered! I just had my final fitting this past weekend and it turned out beautifully! Before undertaking the work, Seleh ran through some of the considerations, including the fact that the mesh provided structural support that he would need to compensate for around the straps. He finished the dress on time and the removed mesh looked flawless. He completed a second round of alterations after my first fitting. Then, a week or two after I took the dress home (and nine days before my wedding), I panicked about the fit of the bodice and the straps and left a slightly frantic voicemail for Seleh. To his immense credit, he called me back in ten minutes to calmly and gently ask me what was wrong and how he could fix it. He didn't make me feel crazy or unreasonable and made a quick appointment for me a couple of days later. He turned around this last round of alterations in a couple days -- a complex addition of fabric under the dress straps to reduce itchiness and some alterations to the bodice -- and the dress was perfect after that. His work on the straps was particularly impressive because the added fabric was completely invisible despite the fact that the straps were irregularly shaped, ornate, and lace. All in all, Seleh gets top marks for skill, timeliness, and emotional sensitivity (all a must when altering wedding dresses). Thank you again, Seleh!
