Got the Mala ramen. Food court wasn't busy so got the food quickly. The broth was okay but tasted more like a slightly spicy soup. Didn't have the spice or numbness of regular Mala. The noodle texture was fine but didn't have any flavor to it. The meat was pretty good; fatty and not tough or dry. Overall this ramen was okay but might need to try their regular broth.

This is one of the newest shops in the Tokyo Central food court in Torrance. People typically will order their ramen here (my original intention), but I noticed they had tsukemen! I'm always tempted to try it whenever I encounter it at a restaurant. It's one of my favorite Japanese dishes after all. My standard is Tsujita on Sawtelle and this one falls a little short. It's still delicious! It has a very noticeable fish component and is a little saltier than I'd want. The amount of noodles you get are nothing to write home about. Tsujita and even Hakata Ikkousha (when they featured this as their monthly creation) easily had double the amount. I wouldn't mind getting it again though given how close this place is to my home. The ambiance is what you'd expect for a food court in a grocery store! Not noisy, not quiet, just right.

This spot serves an incredible Jiro-style ramen!! You can order up to 1,000g of ramen here, and it is MASSIVE. If you're a big eater, you definitely have to try it! Or you can share it with friends or family -- it would be such a fun experience! Of course, the ramen itself was super flavorful and I absolutely loved it! I think I'm becoming a Jiro ramen fan now! I also tried the Yuzu Gyokai Tsukemen, and it was sooo delicious too!!! The combination of yuzu and seafood flavors was amazing. It was refreshing and light, so it would be perfect for summer! ・Jiro Ramen 150g + 1 Pork Chashu -- $15.95 ・Jiro Ramen 900g + 5 Pork Chashu + Vegetable MAX + Garlic MAX + Back Fat MAX -- $52.95 ・Yuzu Gyokai Tsukemen -- $15.50

It was pricy compared to other ramen shop especially you would find in the food court, but for me, it was worth it! It was still soft opening so I expected to wait, but it came out pretty fast. I ordered Jiro style medium, and my boyfriend ordered a large. I really loved the chewy noodles! They also were very thick and went amazingly well with the rich soup! I'd definitely come back to try other options soon!

The MOST Authentic Jiro-Style Ramen in LA! Garlic High just opened inside the Tokyo Central PCH location, and I had to check it out. As a native Japanese who has eaten countless bowls of Jiro-style ramen back in Japan, I can confidently say this place is an absolute masterpiece! The noodles are incredibly authentic--you honestly won't find this level of true Jiro-style noodles anywhere else in LA right now. I ordered the Large size and added extra quail eggs, and it literally felt like I was transported straight back to Japan. It also made me so happy when the staff handed me my bowl with a big smile and cheerfully said, "Enjoy!" Leaving the restaurant with that glorious, unmistakable garlic breath made me so ridiculously happy! Ahhh, pure bliss. I will definitely be coming back. Huge congratulations on your grand opening!

My boyfriend loves jiro style ramen and gets it in Japan a lot, he states that this is the closest thing he's tasted in the states! I did the regular adjustments and thought it was very flavorful, i liked all the bean sprouts in it too. It's in the food hall of a Tokyo central and you order on an iPad. Overall nice environment and the food didn't take too long to come out. I wish they would have added a little more soup but overall really good!

They only have a couple of locations in SoCal, so there's usually a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The staff are wonderful. My go to is the Tonkotsu since that's what they're known for, and it was delicious. This time I decided to try the Black Devil Ramen, which combines their black garlic oil tonkotsu broth with their spicy tonkotsu broth. I'm really glad I switched it up because the black garlic gave the broth a much deeper, richer flavor, and the little bit of spice balanced everything out perfectly. I love spicy ramen, but not when it's so spicy that you can't taste anything else. Also added the Everything Topping and extra green onions because I'm feeling hungry. The extra veggies make it even better and definitely satisfied my hunger. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots outside of Little Tokyo. If you're ever in the Torrance area and craving ramen, this spot is worth checking out!

The food was actually quite good. We both had a bowl of the Black Devil ramen at a spice level of 4. I was worried that this would be too much but it was actually a very manageable level of spice. The type of spice where I can still enjoy my food and not have to worry about eating it through hiccups or anything like that. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. But every bite I had was wonderful, as it was clearly fried to perfection. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. She was also super nice to us and overall provided some excellent service, I did not quite catch her name. The interior of this place also feels quite small, but it is well ventilated. Just be mindful if you get up and walk around because there are people eating to your left and right.

One thing I really appreciate is how accommodating they are with customizations. I usually ask for my ramen without nori (seaweed) and skip the egg, and they get it right every time.
