They took my 3 and 6 year old into consideration when seating us. Brought waters to us quickly without asking and even had lids on the cups for the kids. Our server Sakura, gave good insight into the menu, very accurately described the spiciness level when I asked about it. The food is excellent and well priced - everything was delicious. The ramen came with half an egg, and a slice of chashu. Egg was perfect- not too runny or cooked. Chashu was tender. Really loved this and will definitely come get it again. Fried rice side- really flavorful and tasty. It had some meat pieces and fishcake pieces inside. Gyoza - got the kurobuta and garlic flavor. Unfortunately this fell short of my expectations as the top of the skin wasn't crispy at all. The filling was juicy, but had a bit too much ginger taste to it.

What I truly appreciate about this place is that the food is served very HOT! Be careful! I really loved their Gyoza! They are crispy on one side and soft & chewy on the others. The ramen was served piping hot. It was so full of goodies like bean sprouts, onions, carrot slivers, and ground pork. We had come here long ago, but it may have been before my Yelp days. It's great to have so many options, although it can be a little dangerous when you're hungry because everything looks very tempting! For takeout orders, I appreciate that they package the udon and broth separately, which helps maintain the texture and quality of the noodles. I'm really glad I switched it up because the black garlic gave the broth a much deeper, richer flavor, and the little bit of spice balanced everything out perfectly. I love spicy ramen, but not when it's so spicy that you can't taste anything else. Also added the Everything Topping and extra green onions because I'm feeling hungry. The extra veggies make it even better and definitely satisfied my hunger. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots outside of Little Tokyo. I also had a side of the spicy katsu cutlet, which I also enjoyed very much. They brought me one big piece of chicken katsu and some scissors to cut it up, which I thought was neat. The service was also on point and our server even let us try some of their devil sauce ( I do not remember if this was what it was called but it sure was spicy). A few drops of this in my bowl of ramen and I began to sweat profusely. She said barely anyone ever orders it and I can totally see why haha. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.
