Your mother brought you up to be better than that. She taught you how to be alert. She was right. She was talking about rare finds like Stratton Hall. I attended a corporate meeting last week at "The Strat". The group totaled about 70 or so. We needed a stage, tables and space for eating, mingling and group photos. The Stratton Hall Venue has all of that. It's not much to look at outside, but stay focused until you get on inside. There is a single large space with a nice looking laminate floor and blacked out ceiling. The lighting is ample and not glaring at you from above like some predator in flight. The other two rooms are complimentary to the larger but with their own ambiance. The second is a third of the size of the larger space with elegant drapery and stylish in appointments. Right next to it is a room almost equal in size that is referred to as the Chapel. It's more versatile than that. It is a totally white space with chandeliers and accompaniments that make it appear to be more of a dreamscape. The comfort rooms are decorated nicely and there is a lounge that is elegant. Of particular note are the concierge services supplied by the customer service representative. She is attentive and ready to respond to pressing issues. So you should consider Stratton Hall for your event. You'll be glad that you did.

Their Lookout Mountain rental was horrific. I have never seen such an insect infested home, it was…read moremortifying to see. And it was not just gnats- cockroaches, spiders, the works. Every room was filled with bugs all throughout, probably 50 large bugs on the ceiling over the master bedroom. It was like a nightmare. Every light had been left on inside of this home and there was likely opening somewhere to the outside, making it completely filled with bugs by the time we arrived. It was disgusting and unlivable- literally. I am shocked this host would respond so rudely to leave a negative review for someone who begged for a refund outright since I was hugely inconvenienced being forced to find last minute accommodations on a holiday weekend. Ironically, I kindly decided not to review her nightmare home since it was fully refunded and I did not want to be retaliatory. But honestly I have stayed in airBnB's worldwide and have never encountered such disgustingness. Anyone staying in Chattanooga/Lookout Mountain- take my advice and book a hotel. This place is a bug infested shack and you would be better off with a tent.
