You can find a better deal somewhere else! We stayed in the floating mirror cabin in October. It was over 4,000 for a 2 night stay with the "private spa" access included. This was a joke as any guest could walk and use the facilities, it felt like a cash grab but not a true privacy perk. We could have not spent this extra money and still used the sauna and hot tubs after hours, I believe. We had the pizza dinner and it was fine, there were no vegetable options to put on our pizza. We observed the sauna overheat to the point of contacting maintenance. There is not a single staff on premise for such emergency. I chatted with what seemed like an AI bot to convince them of the emergency nature, and the sauna was shut down the following day. It took them over 30 minutes to respond to our needs. My partner was slightly burned on their arm and despite informing the property manager, we never received any form of check in with a real person. No financial returns for this lack of amenity. There was a child on premise while we were there. She looked to be inside a work truck? But the girl stared me down and it really ruined the "adults only" resort feel they went for. There is not true privacy here, anyone can see you at anytime it feels. This was disappointing as we were hoping for more privacy and to get away from others. The domes seem to have it worse than the floating mirror cabin. Overall it was a seemingly nice stay, but that is because of our ability to make the best out of anything. There are not guards rails or safety protocols along hiking trails and it's a miracle someone has not been seriously injured at this property. They actively tried to gain another booking before we even checked out. It feels like a place that only cares about their bottom line and money. We will not return. We felt we could spend less money than we did here, even abroad, at a nicer adult only resort. read more

Over priced,dirty sheets and silverware,broken chair shower and toilet when first arrived,hot tub was unusable it was disgusting, bugs(SPIDERS) in the dome throughout the entire stay,and leaking roof. I think I deserve a refund but clearly they need that money to hopefully fix all these problems, also having to pull off the road to allow another car to pass because the road it barely big enough for one car and scratched the underside of my car and have to get that replaced, then was charged for drinks I did not receive and they charged me after my stay instead of bringing it to my attention at check out. The best place we stayed in 2023. Visited in October 2023 for our wedding anniversary and loved it. We opted for a Dome and got the VIP Package add on for a Pizza. Parking is easy and close to your dome, cabin or treehouse. Make sure you bring a bathing suit for the hot tub! Inside the dome there is only a bathtub, and the shower is outside. Have no fear, there are curtains and a space heater for inside the shower. It also has shampoo/conditioner/both wash. The dome also comes equipped with a fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, French press/coffee grinder, stove and pots and pans. The entire experience felt intimate, personal and elevated. Seth and Tori have thought of everything to make it a relaxing experience. I also appreciated the elevated extras - photographer and the Sunday brunch :) Pro tips before you arrive - we stopped by Clean Eatz in Chattanooga prior to arriving and got some pre-made meals that we popped in the microwave to avoid significant amounts of cooking. We also stopped at the grocery store in town to get some eggs and other basics. Go to Sister Spirits in town - they have wine, beer and everything you need at reasonable prices, and they are open on Sundays! Our family of 6 (husband, wife, daughters aged 9 & 12, plus 2 senior pups) had a magical weekend here 7/2-7/5/21)! The service was exceptional with Heather on site, the views were breathtaking, and the outings we chose made for great memories. Pros: Service: The staff lives on site and strive for perfection as much as the owners (Seth & Tori Bolt) do. We needed fresh towels; we got them in no time. We forgot skewers for s'mores; boom, they had wooden ones to give on site. We needed fans for the daytime in the dome; they gave us two. I especially loved the tour on the first day we arrived. So many hidden spots we wouldn't have found if it wasn't for Heather pointing them out! Truly 5 service without a doubt. Amenities: I give this 5 ; my husband doesn't. Only due to details though. The details were incredible in my opinion. They thought of everything you may need. A black make-up towel, a mini fridge that fit all the food we needed for the weekend, toiletries, etc. Too many to list, but trust me that the owners and world put their hearts and souls into perfecting the details of what you may need. The view: Breathtaking. Truly. Chose to get up at 5:30 each morning because I couldn't possibly stay there without watching the sunrise over the mountains. Plenty of spots on the property to catch a gorgeous glimpse. We stayed in unit 4, so we had to walk east towards the higher numbered units to get the best views, but no worries as all but the domes where people stayed was accessible. The property: Wow. This site was made for Bolt Farm Treehouse. Their domes fit perfectly on the land, and the treehouses that bookend the domes were exactly where they needed to be. We walked out pups up and down the driveway each day, and we explored the crevices on site and found 1 of the 2 waterfalls! Pairs of chairs placed around the site were a fantastic touch, and the "coffee table" made of rock was great for me to enjoy the view and my morning tea. Cons: Coffee setup: My husband's complaint. They provide coffee beans, a vintage crank grinder, and a French press. Essentially, bring your own coffee grounds or coffee pot as these provided items together didn't make great coffee. Beans provided wouldn't grind fine with crank grinder so coffee wasn't strong. Simple fix really. Drive up the mountain: Rough road starting between the church/graveyard: going forward will definitely need repairs with all the traveling of Bolt Farm guests. Surprisingly, only once was another car coming in as we were leaving, so that was a moment of distress as the road is super skinny. Greenhouse effect on the domes: Domes are hotter than outside in the middle of the day/when the sun is overhead. Outside was about 86* but wind and finding shady spots helped. Inside, we worried we'd get heat stroke staying in the front part that was uncovered. We had to avoid staying in during that time to avoid heat stroke as even 60* a/c wouldn't cool the front area off (about 11am to 4pm). Have no fear though as Bolt Farm is already working with a shading company to fix this. Again, their service and strive for perfection is impeccable. Outdoor Shower: Curtains do not close for full privacy, and sometimes the wind blows and takes away even the slightest privacy. Our children were not happy about that lol. Maybe extra magnets or ties to close it off completely for those who want to ensure full privacy. We adults absolutely loved the outdoor shower otherwise! Such a beautiful experience! And like my husband said, showering outside is a risk in itself, so adults probably wouldn't care, but my 12 y/o daughter sure did! Privacy in Luxe Dome: If our kids had been younger, no big deal. Our 12 y/o was pretty upset about no bathroom door and would essentially kick us all out of the dome to use the bathroom. Whatever, didn't bother me either way lol To be clear, the pros far outweigh the cons. And I have no doubt, Bolt Farm will do everything to address these minor cons ASAP. We stayed less than a month after their first guests so had the privilege of being among the first few to experience the splendor that is Bolt Farm. Overall, this was a bucket list destination for me, and I am absolutely determined to return. My complaining kids can stay home. My husband and I want the honeymoon treehouse experience next time. Besides, it has the best views of the sunrise. Or an adult friends & family treehouse stay would be a blast! That would put us closest to the waterfall we found on site! So do yourself a favor, and at least put this on your bucket list. They open bookings throughout the year that tend to sell out quickly. I really wish that I didn't have to write this review. It still feels unreal that such an expensive and exclusive place that prides themselves in their customer service would do such a terrible thing to us. They ruined our Honeymoon by cancelling our reservation 2 weeks before our reservation date (we had October 2nd to the 6th reserved at one of their New Honeymoon Treehouses,) leaving us with just 2 weeks to plan out an entire honeymoon. To be clear, we booked all the way since February of 2023. Their team messaged me on Wednesday, September 13th, saying that they had an important message for me and that I should schedule a call with them. I scheduled the call for that Thursday, and spoke to Rebecca, who started off by asking me if I knew that those treehouses are new construction. She then proceeded to tell me about issues they've been having with the county about Septic System approval for the treehouses (they don't have a Certificate of Occupation yet,) and how they wouldn't be able to honor our reservation. I told her that's terrible, and how I couldn't believe that they were just telling me that with just 2 weeks left before the reservation. She said she was sorry but that she had just found out about it yesterday, which makes no sense to me since they've been aware of this issue since March, which was the official start date of stays at the New Honeymoon Treehouses. Rebecca confirmed that nobody has indeed been able to stay in them since March, which means that they've indeed known about the issue since, and they didn't even have the decency to let us know MUCH EARLIER about the issue. You'd figure that with them knowing about it, they would've let us know about it with at least 3 months in advance so we could be aware and know if we should've kept the reservation, or look for something else. It's completely irresponsible that they would do this, especially with how strict they are with their cancellation policies, and if we would've tried to cancel with them this close to the reservation date, they wouldn't have refunded us our money. How complicated is it to let your PAYING guests know about this with much more time?? How then can they get away with doing that?? We had booked our reservation since February and they had without fail been charging my card, collecting their payment Promptly. My fiancée and I are extremely upset and are appalled that a company charging this much money for their properties would do such a thing and get away with it. We understand that county approvals are mostly out of their control, but notifying their guests about this with much more time is not, especially when they know that most people booking these are for special occasions. To this date, we haven't seen any notice on their social media notifying guests about the septic system approval issues, nor of their new honeymoon treehouses not being able to be stayed in. This is terribly irresponsible. After telling us that they couldn't honor our reservation, I asked if they had any other properties in their land that were available for our dates, but of course they were all booked out. Thanks for nothing, Bolt Farm. They refunded our money and offered to help us just find other properties around the area (keywords are Just Find; they're not offering to pay for anything,) and plus, the damage is already done. We had booked your property because we liked it and wanted to stay in it, not another property (which, the ones they sent us weren't nearly as special for a Honeymoon.) My fiancée and I will be alright by the grace of God, but we wanted to ensure that this case didn't go unnoticed. Bolt Farm, please do better. My husband & I celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Bolt Farm treehouse in one of their domes! The scenery was breathtaking and the accommodations were outstanding! We felt right at home immediately upon arrival! We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the deck, the outdoor shower &!the very comfy bed as well! Our first night we enjoyed a pizza in the outdoor pizza oven that was so delicious! The hot tub was an extra bonus. Meeting Seth & Tori was such a special extra! We found out about this place when they were doing a crowd sourcing back in 2020. We thought it sounded great. It took us almost two years to actually get a trip planned and make it. We planned an entire trip around coming here. We only stayed two nights here but stayed in the eastern TN area for 10. Not sure what else can be said about the Domes. If you have done any research you know what you are getting. I will say I was a bit surprised how warm they get. I know the week after we were there they were installing solar shades. Once we were there we didn't leave the property. We brought all the food, drinks, etc we would need. However, I don't think there are many options in the town. I was a bit disappointed in the "hikes" on the property. I had seen them promote them on social media but honestly you can do all three in less than a hour. They are more walks to see the waterfalls and the slot canyon. There isn't much of a hike. As others have stated they are very close to each other. You can hear the people in the dome next to you. Hence, it is like camping in a state camp ground. If anyone from Bolt actually reads the review. The records need some love. Two were very warped and unplayable, one was very badly scratched. It would have been nice to have a bit more selection but we did enjoy the one that was playable. I am glad we got to experience it. It is different. We hope to make their other property some day in SC. We had a nice time but I doubt we would make the effort to return to this property. I do recommend everyone experience it. I do agree it might be a tad high in price based on the current website pricing. read more

What a magical place! Every detail is beyond thoughtful and brings you into this blissful wonderland full of adventure and mindfulness. I celebrated my birthday here with a few friends and we could not be more pleased and grateful with everything. VIBE: The atmosphere is dreamy. This makes the experience. From the dome filled with everything you need including a full kitchen and the most comfortable robes to classic board games and coloring books to a patio with pizza oven, bbq, jacuzzi, outdoor shower, table, cozy sitting arrangements and fireplace for s'more. SERVICE: The staff is so accommodating and kind, you can truly tell they care and believe in their mission. It feels like you're with family here. The owners are this amazing husband and wife couple, Tori and Seth. They are beyond thoughtful, caring and very good looking. Big thanks to them and the staff for sharing this beyond wonderful experience and stay with us! TIPS: We had a jam packed weekend so I just had to share some fun ideas to fill your days on property or off property (1) Def get the pizza kit and cook your own pizza on the patio with their pizza ovens (2) Sunset in the spa is a must (3) there are hikes with hidden seating areas on the property or waterfalls. Go explore! (4) wake up early and watch sunset from your dome -- we slept with the windows open and it was a very peaceful awakening (5) take a drive the town of Chattanooga and explore their trendy restaurants or keep it local and eat the towns best fried chicken from (I kid you not) the local gas station!! (6) go big time and visit the neighbors to go paragliding -- this was an experience (7) take a pontoon lake boat out for the day (8) their management offers private experiences for guests so we did private yoga on our deck AND (9) we got a private chef who cooked a 3 course delicious dinner in our dome and served us on our patio. We have LOVED our stays but the pricing is getting to be quite ridiculous. We stayed in Feb 2022 in the XL Dome and paid $2100 for 3 nights (Fri-Mon). We stayed the same weekend the following year (Feb 2023) in a mirror cabin and paid just under $2k for three nights. We were looking to keep up with the yearly tradition but looking at their new treehouse/friends and family treehouse- why in the world is it over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS more for literally the exact same weekend in 2024? I understand that Bolt Farm has became popular but it genuinely feels like their loyal, returning customers are not appreciated. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back because we will not be paying over $3k for 3 nights. read more

I should have done more research on this place before we wasted the money. There's just nothing special or "magical" (as every other review states) about it. The concept is good on paper, but for this location it falls flat. Here's my honest breakdown: Pros: The staff was attentive and responsive. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was nice, although small. The lighting outside was a nice touch but we never found the switch to turn it off at night, so we couldn't sleep with the drapes open. Cons: Location - Whitwell is your typical small town so there is not much to do there. Most of the recommended exploring is a minimum of 45 minutes away. The dome - The temperature of our dome was impossible to regulate. It was stifling during the day and chilly at night. The views from the domes are not impressive or breathtaking. You have a view of Whitwell and whatever trees are still alive (depending on the season) along the mountain. The layout of the dome is bizarre: there is no enclosed toilet so everyone in the dome with you will hear (and smell) as you do your business. Having the shower outside it also inconvenient, especially during colder months. Price - We stayed in a "luxe dome" and for a luxury experience, they sure do nickel and dime you. As one reviewer mentioned, they offer a pizza kit....but only if you upgrade to their VIP experience for $220. That "experience" also includes a s'mores kit, firewood, a coffee mug, a standard candle, and $100 off your next stay. They will not sell you any of this a la cart either. You could buy your own pizza at Ingles, which is 30 minutes away, but the fridge/freezer they provide is too tiny to actually store it. Bring your own supplies. Privacy was ridiculous - as I mentioned above, the toilet is not enclosed, and at the right angle your neighbors will have a nice view of you as you get in/out of the hot tub. This place is not worth the price. Maybe the Charleston location is better but I don't recommend this one. Save your money. read more

This is my second time staying at a bolt farm treehouse property and it was just as magical as the first time! From Charleston to Chattanooga, Tori & Seth have every detail meticulously though out so that you're discovering a new special touch every day. The incredible views and serenity are the reason to visit and the incredible amenities are the reason to (extend ) your stay. We enjoyed the hot tub daily, had a pizza party night on the deck and took way too many hot outdoor showers (but there could never be enough!) I always said the outdoor shower in Charleston was the best one I've had in my life but now I'm not sure since I've been to Tennessee too! If you're on the fence about visiting, just book it! We stayed three nights but wish it was more like 5 or 6. We packed our itinerary with sunset walks around the property, cooking at the dome, sleeping in and enjoying the domes, having a yoga instructor teach us a class on our deck, some of us went paragliding next door, headed into town for a cute dinner & drinks and spent a day on lake nickajack nearby - followed by a dinner on our deck from a private chef. It was an incredible wellness weekend with a mix of relaxation and adventure and we cannot wait to return! read more
