EVERYONE NEEDS TO VISIT MILLER FALLS in gorgeous Smokey Mountains!…read more Beautiful woods, creeks, rock climbing, camping, and brilliant weather. Campgrounds are clean, lots of amenities, and campground owners are super kind people! We stayed for 4 nights, and our campsite was $48/night before tax. We initially booked through HipCamp, but I'll definitely be booking with the owner directly (www.TNwaterfallgetaway.com) for all future visits to their campground! My fiance and I booked the TrampEase Tree Tent - one of seven beautiful, hand-built campsites that range from primitive to full-on glamping. Our campsite was a mix of both. It included an elevated yurt tent, fire pit, round table, 2 folding camping chairs, and a private composting toilet in a nearby outhouse. Not to mention a flowing creek less than 50 feet from the yurt! The tranquil sound of the creek flowing 24/7 was even better than sleep-sounds on my Google Home. LOL! Most of the campsites have drive-up access, though if you have a car that's particularly low to the ground (like a small sedan) you may not want to risk driving over the rocky road. We brought with us a 1" inflatable mattress pad, along with a sleeping bag, and 2 thick, warm blankets. Despite being mid-May, the average temps during our visit were 60-70 F during the day, and a chilly 40-45 F at night. Brilliant weather for snuggling, but we would have regretted not bringing a few extra blankets. Lots of hiking and trails to explore on their property, and at least a mile of rugged creek terrain that makes for a fun, albeit challenging day of rock climbing. Well worth it for the stunning views of the waterfalls, canyons, and mountainsides. There are also trails and lakes nearby for hiking, kayaking, and a number of other outdoor attractions in Tracy City. The owners, Grant & Becky, were such friendly people. My fiance and I had a lovely chat with them about philanthropy, community outreach, homestead farming, and more. They are warm, kind, and welcoming to people of all ages, races, religions, genders, identities, abilities, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideologies. They have done a lot of traveling and business throughout their lives, and now they are semi-retired in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Speaking of ability - the majority of the glamping sites have tents that are elevated from the ground; some, like the one we stayed in, required climbing a 10 foot ladder to enter/exit the tent. There are some other sites though that are more accessible with tents low to the ground, or primitive sites where you can pitch your own tent. Contact the owner (www.tnwaterfallgetaway.com/contact) to ask about the best accommodation options for you. They offer great amenities and fun activities around the property during your stay. The owners are big on being self-sufficient, so they love to offer fun learning experiences regarding farming, gardening, and homesteading. They also enjoy metal work and have some cool art pieces around their property. We even did a welding project (for a small fee) and made an original piece of art as a keepsake from our trip! You can also get some convenience items from the owners for a fee: firewood bundles, champagne & ice, property tours, guided tours of their city, and more. HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP: Grant was also kind enough to swing by our campsite one morning to ask if we had any interest in bees! He has a few hives and some extra gear, so we got an up-close look into the hives! It was absolutely mesmerizing! And if all that weren't enough, their website www.TNwaterfallgetaway.com is chock-full of great tips for local hiking, waterfall views, kayaking, dining, and more! We had such a lovely time enjoying the outdoors, and look forward to going back for another visit!

This was a joke as any guest could walk and use the facilities, it felt like a cash grab but not a true privacy perk. We could have not spent this extra money and still used the sauna and hot tubs after hours, I believe. We had the pizza dinner and it was fine, there were no vegetable options to put on our pizza. We observed the sauna overheat to the point of contacting maintenance. There is not a single staff on premise for such emergency. I chatted with what seemed like an AI bot to convince them of the emergency nature, and the sauna was shut down the following day. It took them over 30 minutes to respond to our needs. My partner was slightly burned on their arm and despite informing the property manager, we never received any form of check in with a real person. No financial returns for this lack of amenity. There was a child on premise while we were there. She looked to be inside a work truck? But the girl stared me down and it really ruined the "adults only" resort feel they went for. There is not true privacy here, anyone can see you at anytime it feels. This was disappointing as we were hoping for more privacy and to get away from others. The domes seem to have it worse than the floating mirror cabin. Overall it was a seemingly nice stay, but that is because of our ability to make the best out of anything. There are not guards rails or safety protocols along hiking trails and it's a miracle someone has not been seriously injured at this property. They actively tried to gain another booking before we even checked out. It feels like a place that only cares about their bottom line and money. We will not return. We felt we could spend less money than we did here, even abroad, at a nicer adult only resort.

(Although the exit gate from the property was on a sensor that was a little finicky but worked). - Bathrooms were nice and had plenty of towels. - Beds were comfy and clean, would recommend bringing your own pillow if you dislike firm ones. - Washer & Dryer on property. - Lots of kitchen supplies (Foil, Plastic Wrap, Utensils & Plates/Bowls, spices, etc.) - Walmart & Gas within 30ish minutes of driving. - Go visit Falls Creek Falls & Rock Island for some awesome views. Cons: - Could use more lighting on the back deck for grilling, and a light on the side of the house for the fire pit. - Possibly some ghosts strolling through the neighborhood? We could distinguish acorns falling off and hitting things, but we did hear some random footsteps inside and outside of the house during the night time. After double checking the house, no other people or animals were within.

The cabin is probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. My husband was a Fire Chief for a volunteer fire department as well as holding a regular full time job and he needed to relax from the stress of his work. He was a bit nervous at first when I said we were going to stay in a cabin. We drove up and walked into the cabin and I could see all his stress leave his body as he let out a big sigh. I recommend this place to everyone I can. Nate and Rhonda are two of the nicest people whom I like to call friends now. If you want to go somewhere to kick back and relax after seeing the sites I highly recommend Rockhaven Cabin Rentals, especially Uncle Pete's Cabin. I hope to be able to go back.

I first discovered it through seeing a reel on Instagram and immediately knew my friend and I needed to come here! This is truly glamping done right! My tips would be not to arrive here after dark as it is pretty in the middle of nowhere and there is not a lot of street lightning to navigate, so it got a bit spooky. The views from here are truly spectacular though and every day when you wake up it's just incredible to look upon this view! I came here at the beginning of March and as a Midwesterner, it was the perfect getaway during the tail-end of winter where it gets a bit dreary! It seems like this time of year or perhaps in the fall - obviously for all the foliage - would be the ideal times to come because the guest books really made it seem like there are an intense number of bugs during the summer months. A lot of people said that this was still so nice in spite of all of the bugs, but I would rather not have to deal with bugs at all, personally, and when we came here there weren't any and the weather was still perfect for spending time on the expansive deck, swinging in the egg chair, grilling on the grill and reading in one of their Adirondacks, or OF COURSE sitting in your personal hot tub! Everything here was absolutely delightful. There's a mini fridge, a hot plate to cook on, and the COMFIEST BED EVER! My friend and I both never wanted to leave after we showed up here. It's located about 1.5 hours away from Nashville and we had plans to spend a day in Nashville once we got here and another day hiking some of the trails all around this area - there seemed to be plenty - but upon getting here and seeing just how absolutely divine it was and how we had all the amenities needed for a proper R&R kind of weekend, we decided to cancel all plans and just stay here the entire time!! We only ended up leaving once to pick up some pizza and subsisted off of that, the leftovers, and the small grocery run we had done on our way in for the rest of the four days we were there! Absolutely loved this place - a proper glamping experience!

Staying fully booked, as luck would have it, there was an opening for a quick get-a-way in this stunning GeoDome. I mean look at our view! Now, THIS, is how one should go camping, or as they say "Glamping." Yes, this is a plastic tent (Geo Dome) but with amenities: a toilet, shower, bathroom, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee pot, two full sized beds (one bottom, one on top), and a view to die for! Outside there is a two person hot tub, grill, on deck gas fire pit, motion detected lights, and below is a four person set-up with firepit and swings. A few notes: the directions say to not arrive at night and we discovered that to be true (lol). We arrived in the dark and in the rain but after a quick phone call to our host, we found our dome. You do "hike" in and out (about 50 yards) so be prepared to carry everything you need. And if staying in the winter, utilize the space heaters and electric blankets (slept snugly!), this dome is not insulated but again, an amazing experience. Check out the pics! And book NOW! Thanks, Tony for your incredible stay and hospitality!
