Gorgeous space! Fun bartenders! Loved the ambiance and the drinks were delicious. Highly recommend having some fancy drinks there!

Normally I have a great time here. Vibes awesome. Bartenders are normally awesome. Came in on a Wednesday, less then 10 people in line for drinks and we waited close to 25 minutes for drinks, watched the female bar back tonight take a vape from customer over the bar and hit it, disappeared for 10 minutes, come back and just talk to people sitting at the bar. Didn't help main bartender at all, could've helped male bartender at least push drinks out faster. read more

The Garden is one of my favorite local watering holes. The place is very spread out with lots of room and recently they've begun appealing to the dance-savvy crowds in Moscow by opening their upper floor as a dancefloor. The dj they've hired does a phenomenal job and really adds a lot of energy to the place. If that's not really your style, and you prefer to chill out rather than dance they've got an entire section pulled away from the dance section that's much quieter, not to mention the downstairs which has pool and darts. If you come during the week it's also very quiet and you can order a sipping drink and make use of their free wifi to work on things. I love going here when the library is full. Great place to come and work on stuff and not be too bothered. It starts to get a bit louder around 9pm on the weekdays. So you can work and then reward yourself. Seriously great place. read more

I went to the University of Idaho and spent MANY a night at The Garden. In a rural college town like ours it wasn't unusual to see a table or booth filled with a mix of college students, professors, and locals - all having drinks and all having a good time. I LOVED going there to grab lunch and study because of its quiet atmosphere and LOVED going there at night when it's filled with people. I don't think I've ever even witnessed a bar fight in there and I lived there for 12 years. Wow. I now live in L.A. and have YET to find a bar as good as The Garden. As an April Fools' gag, a friend of mine put on his facebook that The Garden was closing and once I figured out it wasn't true, I told him I was going to kill him. Saving up airfare. If you find yourself in Moscow, go on in and grab a drink...it'll cost you less than 5 bucks with no pretenses and no such thing as a "stranger". Go Vandals! read more

I loved that they had a lot of space to lounge around so instead of sitting at a table you can sit on couches and just hang out with friends They offered a lot of drink specials and had a really laid back atmosphere. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is that you can smoke inside the bar. The smoke can be pretty overpowering. read more

My favorite bar ever! It is posh, classy, and clean. The interior has a sleek design and an inviting atmosphere. It's very spacious and has several seating areas that include booths and tables. They also provide casual reading material like Time magazine. There are two bars, one on each floor, and there are also waitresses who will take orders at your table as well. This place has a large drink list and great specials. It is very affordable and social. Best special is Blue Mondays, helps make Mondays seem not so torturous. Everything is delicious! read more

Service 5! Drinks 5! Venue 4.5! The bartender and the cocktail waitresses are amazing. Super fun and friendly and very tolerant for intoxicated individuals. The drinks are the cheapest and strongest for your money! They offer jello shots and other little shots for just $1. Not to mention they have a full list of drink specials that range usually from $3.50 - $4.50. Most of us don't go over $20 to have a good time. The venue only gets a 4.5 because I think it could be upgraded a little more but I like more intimate club-like settings. But overall, its clean, its positive, and it has some good seating! It starts getting busy around 9:30-10 on Fridays and Saturdays so get there a little early if you want a comfy booth for you and your party! Oh, The Garden. What can I say about you? I have never, ever, EVER had drinks as good as I've had at the Garden. Even with new bartenders, my last memories of ten years ago of a great drink were not in vain. This place still has it. And cheap too. This is my hands-down, all-time favorite bar. The Long Islands are still the best I've ever had. Not weak, not too strong, but a great flavor. read more

I agree the garden is THE place to go... I go on thursday nights with a group from work (ranging in ages from mid 20's tomid 60's) and everyonemloves it! They have awesome priceses, a comfy atmosphere and the waitstaff is friendly. I love to browse the "menu" and try new things. Also we often bring in veggie trays and they are totally cool with it, it makes for a chill, fun evening everytime. read more

I can't believe no one else has reviewed this business yet. This is the place to go in Moscow. Why? Drink specials, super friendly staff, and the sheer amount of people on fri/sat nights. The chairs aren't bad, and the drinks are made well. For people who aren't in college, I would recommend going on a different night other than fri/sat. There's usually a pretty nice mix of people on other nights. read more

Nice location, but awful customer service. We were served a flat, tasteless pint of IPA--clearly something was wrong with it--and asked for an exchange. Nick the bartender refused, telling us "we don't give away free stuff." Losing a table of future customers over a three dollar pint of beer = zero knowledge of how to manage a bar. Here's what I found out as a visitor from out of town. I walk in about 7:00pm. On a Wednesday, the place was mostly empty. I turn to the left and stand in front of 1 small bar area. Then walk down a few stairs to see 6-7 people playing pool, then walk back up to the bar area and hover for a little bit longer. Both times, the male bartender and female server were focused on conversations with their friends or regulars at the bar. Neither looked up and asked the obvious, "hey, what can I get ya'?!" Nothing. So I walked to the upper bar area which was closed off and walked by a window which looked through the hall to a Pizza place next door that was open and people waved me over. lol... At least someone wants to help me. Haha... Anywho, I just wandered out. This place has 1 specific focus. They only serve alcohol, no food. People can stop in for a drink before a show or after... And lounge around. There are multiple levels to the place, so that's kind of cool so you can have a group of friends in a little more secluded area, rather than a large, open, single level floor with a long bar. So, if booze and conversation is your purpose, you've hit the spot. If you expect to be greeted, much less served by someone right when you walk in... I encourage you to lower your expectations and just enjoy time with your friends... They'll keep you company. lol... Cheers!! read more

The Garden has an unusual design that produces nooks and crannies for every sort of outing. There are private areas to take a date and big, lounging corrals cushioned with red for large group outings. There are also plenty of sturdy tables and chairs for playing cards. On the lowest level there are two pool tables for pool goers as well as large restrooms. On ground level is the entrance and primary bar. Up the stairs to the left is a large, duel level smoking area with lots of tables and corrals. Up the stairs to the right is a secondary bar and restrooms. That side of the lounge contains the non-smoking section. The non-smoking section has two large corrals and plenty of table space, and is pretty much the only non-smoking liquor serving place in Moscow. The drinks at the Garden are flavorful and well priced. The Long Island iced teas are divine, I also enjoy their clam diggers and New York seltzers. Mixed drinks like these are only $2.50 on Monday nights ("Blue Mondays"), and usually run from $3-$4 most nights. I'm not a big beer drinker, but I know they carry Alaskan Amber, my favorite brew. read more

Best price on Happy Hour drinks in town. The main bar is not at all attractive but if you are looking for value this is the place.
