We came here in the summer just for their rotisserie chicken, but it happened to be a hot day so…read morethey didn't have any (as Texans, that was wild to us, 90 degrees is nowhere near "hot" in our book lol). That said, Twirling Bird did not disappoint with their sandos. Just look at it, it's huge!! The size alone is impressive, but the taste is even better. The chicken was juicy, crunchy, and super flavorful. We also got the wings, which were a little extra burnt for our liking, but they still tasted great. The sauces are solid too, I'd recommend getting as many as you can. It's a food truck, but there's a really nice seating area tucked further inside with shade, fans, and a hangout vibe. It's shared with other food trucks as well. Must-stop if you're on your way back from the falls.

We used to go to them all the time back when they were in Portland, and even though they're in Silverton now, we still make the drive because it's absolutely worth it. The consistency is unreal - every single visit the wings come out perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. They're so good that I don't even need ranch. That's how fire these wings are. And the bread pudding? Unreal. It's not too sweet, not heavy - just light, flavorful, and always a delight to eat. The perfect way to end the meal. If you want a spot that never misses, Twirling Birds is it. Worth the drive every time.

The barista was nice and accommodating as well! We went during our stay in Silverton, and we all felt that the food was just ok (outside of the donuts - those were delicious!) and the coffee was perfectly adequate. The service was pretty quick - even whenever it got busy. The coffee didn't rewrite any history books and won't be added to a list of best shops in Oregon, but it's a great space to support a local shop and get a decent cup that's worth the price. Strong suggestion to order any latte half sweet - it'll be a good level for more serious coffee drinkers!

Although the woman behind the counter said she didn't make many cortados (even though they're on the menu), she said she'd give it a shot (see what she did there? ). It was tasty but had too much foam on top (cortados are equal parts espresso and steamed milk without foam), although now that I think about it, maybe it wasn't foam at all but simply the steamed milk bubbles rising to the top. Typically a cortado is served in a clear glass large shot glass but since they didn't have any of those, it was served in a small espresso cup. In any event, the drink was good and the bite-sized frosted mini doughnut was a perfect mouthful. I'd give them 5 stars if they had had a cortado cup, especially since it's actually on the menu, but overall, a charming place to stop for a pastry and a coffee. With several comfy nooks, tables for your laptop, live-edged wooden bars at the front windows, and a nice selection of pastries, I'd definitely come back here... and maybe next time they'll have cortado cups

I always love marking a brewery off of my "to try" list. But as the craft brewing industry…read morecontinues to shrink that factor is also contributing to my shrinking brewery list. But it feels much more satisfying, rewarding and accomplishing as it obviously would by trying a beer from a brewery that I have been wanting to try... which leads us to one of my latest brewery experiences which is Silver Falls Brewery. Steve and I had one beer from this brewery and we liked it pretty well. We got the Oregon Sunshine Hazy IPA which was a better IPA drinking session than on previous occasions. In short it was a nice, refreshing one that hit the spot nicely. The elements in the flavors to look for are citrus, a juicy quality and a hoppiness presence. This IPA despite being a hazy also was bright in flavor as well as hue. A very refreshing IPA and I am so very glad I got to try a beer from Silver Falls Brewery!

The food was surprisingly good!! Get the nachos!!!! They put awesome nacho cheese sauce on it. We also got the onion rings (so fresh, and the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was really cheesy and had tomato and grilled mushrooms. I like mushrooms but I would get it without next time.its just a lot going on. You order at the counter. Most of our food was fast, but I think they forgot my grilled cheese so it took a while. But they made it fresh so it was nice and hot. Definitely will be back! It's pretty small so I'm sure they're slammed in the summer.
