    Pinsa Romano

The pizza we had was a special of the day Pinsa Romana. Nothing to improve on here. Was delicious and cooked to perfection. Was a good value. Shared with .y friend. Music was not intrusive. Nice choice guys. ..

This place is amazing! Went with family and we had pizzas, ravioli, the mortadella and pistachio pesto sandwich, salad, and gelato. It was all DELICIOUS!

This tiramisu may look unassuming, but it's the best we've ever had. Mouthwateringly delicate and flavorful.

I approached various spots, eagerly asking, "Do you have anything gluten-free?" And the reply was a gentle but firm "Not today, my friend!" I left feeling like I'd just missed the last bus to Flavor Town. But then my friends chimed in and said, "Hang tight! There's now a place called Gluten-Free Grill!" My heart skipped a beat, it was like finding out there's a secret stash of candy hidden in your grandma's kitchen! So off we went, and I entered the establishment with the kind of excitement usually reserved for unearthing treasures. The service? They were as friendly as a puppy in a room full of squeaky toys! With eager smiles, they were happy to answer any questions and find out the answers I needed. So off we went! I entered the establishment with the kind of excitement usually reserved for finding a $20 bill in an old jacket pocket. Now, let's talk about the menu. They do love their spices, including the infamous paprika, which, sadly, is off my personal menu because of my dietary restrictions. Apparently God has a sense of humor. But!!! No worries, I was thrilled to dig into some steak bites. I was able to choose how I wanted them cooked. You could have it from juicy delicious to literally what they call boot leather. Has me cracking up. Finally, my taste buds were back online. "I'll take it medium rare," I said, feeling like the king of the castle. And those steak bites? Yum! They were pretty good! Then came the French fries, not just any fries, my friends. They arrived in a clamshell pretty big! I mean, you can never have too much potato goodness! with my steak, making a duo more dynamic than Batman and Robin. Steak and potatoes. + = Now, if you're gluten-free and just want to pop in, I hope you're down with paprika! If not, fear not, there's plenty more to try. But I need a dedicated foodie out there to try the mac & cheese, chicken strips, and onion rings on my behalf. Seriously, I can't eat them, so sacrifice yourself for the greater good! The ambiance. Picture this: an outdoor cafeteria vibe where you can mingle with people and feel like you're at a high school reunion, but with less awkwardness and more fries. So, to sum it up: if you're on the gluten-free train, the Gluten-Free Grill is your next stop. Now get out there and eat some chicken strips with some mac & cheese for me, will ya

We found One in a Melon Meals on the Find Me GF app, which told us that this is a completely gluten-free food cart, which also has vegan and dairy free options. My partner usually opts for the Roccstar quinoa meal. This is a huge helping of Moroccan BBQ chicken on a bed of quinoa, along with a side salad of tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, and olives. She's never been disappointed. The service is wonderful, and she gets her food quickly, often more quickly than our boys, who go to another cart for meatballs. It's steaming hot and obviously prepared fresh to order. She devours the whole thing and often has to hold back from getting a larger size. She's also ordered online, and had it delivered, and the quality hasn't suffered a bit. The food is healthy, delicious, and run by local people. It's part of a food cart pod, smallish, but with plenty of other options available for members of a group. Seating is ample and there's even a beer truck, if that's your thing. So, there's really no reason that anyone, not just gluten- free and gluten sensitive people, should have to not check this place out.

The menu is broad enough that there's plenty to pick from. We were there for dinner. The food was delicious! Mom had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries (they were even good as cold leftovers!!). The sandwich comes with a combo of 3 melted cheeses. Dad had the honey glazed chicken. Also really good. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!

As we…read morewere walking to the table, they asked if it was our first visit (it was), as that meant complimentary chocolate chip cookies! The large menu can seem a bit overwhelming, but once you figure out how the BBQ plates work, it's easy to order one of their standard dishes, or customize your own combo. I ended up going with the "Single Plate", with an additional side. I got pulled pork with Carolina BBQ sauce, mac n' cheese, a baker's roll (varies from day to day), and added sweet potato waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The pulled pork was a little more "wet" than I'm used to, but it was smoky and flavorful, especially with the BBQ sauce. The roll was almost muffin-like, with rosemary seasoning mixed into the batter, which I quite enjoyed. The mac n' cheese definitely has a cheesy texture, with a caramelized top, but the flavors weren't as sharp as I like -- still very good, especially after I accidentally spilled some of that Carolina BBQ sauce on top of it. My food gets all mixed together on a BBQ plate, anyway; so why not? LOL The sweet potato waffle fries get their own section, because they were that good. The coating was crispy and well seasoned, with a slight kick -- they were amazing. I would probably ask for ketchup to dip them in next time, but since they had brought me extra BBQ sauce (without my asking), I just used that... or ate them without any dipping sauce. Our server was amazing throughout our lunch. She was always friendly and informative, and really helped make for a great experience. She remembered our cookies at the end (we got them to go), and didn't miss a beat when we decided to order from their dessert case last minute. Since it was "pi day", they had lots of pie related options -- all small servings, for 1 or 2. My wife and I shared a Key Lime bar, which was delicious. It was a little richer than I expected, but was nice and creamy, with that tart lime kick. The crust was good and crunchy, too. We knew coming in that this establishment was all gluten-free, even though nobody in our party needed to avoid gluten, and I was preparing myself to be disappointed -- and I can happily say that never happened! A lot of what E&T serves is homemade, and they obviously know what they are doing, so their GF offerings far surpass many dining establishment's full gluten options. If you have lower expectations for GF food, as I did, leave them at the door. Even my daughter, who is a pretty good baker herself, was impressed with the "heart attack" roll that she ordered with her meal -- we have never seen GF bread that fluffy! These guys obviously know what they are doing. Oh yeah, and those chocolate chip cookies? So good -- soft, and loaded with chocolate chips. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

Bastion definitely is part of what makes Portland's gluten free scene great! The location is in a beautiful small neighborhood in the city. Bastion sits among some small businesses and has the feel of a cozy business in a house. My absolute favorite thing about Bastion was their fried chicken. It was crispy and delicious. Often times gluten free items lack a bit of substance when it comes to how it feels, but the nice meaty chicken pieces really helped offset that in the case of the chicken sandwich. It was fulfilling to eat and would do a great job filling up anyone who is hungry. My wife went with the waffles and they were great. They were presented beautifully with a gorgeous flower garnish. If you want a nice IG picture, well, here you go! To wash it all down I tried their mango smoothie. And this thing was smooooooof. It was good but definitely overpriced for what it is. You can tell the bagel is not a normal bagel, I think it was gluten free or something? That didn't bother me at all but just be aware of that. Also, the smoked salmon was not like typical lox, you can see in the picture that it's more flakey, more like cooked salmon with smoked flavor. I also got the muffin in the picture. It was a little dry/not fresh tasting, even after I asked them to heat it up. It definitely has a healthy/homemade taste, probably that it was made with some type of wheat or oat flour. I also got the oat chia pudding to go (not pictured) and it was good too, still on the pricey side but at least the portion isn't tiny. Overall, the ambiance is nice for a cute brunch and I like that they supposedly use clean ingredients (no seed oils and refined sugar). Nevertheless, I'm still disappointed that the shakshuka was sold out. Also, I experienced l bad stomach pains later in the day after I ate this but not sure what the cause was ‍
