Me and my crew are headed north on the 5 heading towards Portland and the crew wants lunch. I already looked up places to stop on the GPS and Yelp and saw there's this Chinese buffet called Garden Buffet coming up. It's Sunday and they're open. We find the place fine and there's plenty of parking. Going in the place kinda looks like a lot of Chinese buffets we've been to. Clean and a decent amount of steam tables full of food. We get seated and drinks orders taken. The food all looks good, they have some more seafood selections as it's a Sunday and the price is around $21 all day plus drinks and some tip. I'm happy there's no sales tax added here in Oregon. All the normal Chinese American stuff is here, along with some sushi. Usually, at Chinese buffets, I stay away from the sushi. The pork was good and I liked to noodles. There was the salt and pepper whole prawns too. Everybody got their fill and the lunch stop didn't have to take 2 hours. Me and my husband always come back to this place its so good! The flavors are solid, they switch out the food frequently so its always fresh. VERY reasonably priced, I believe it was $14 per person for lunch, which is honestly so cheap especially for a buffet. The food varies from day to day, we highly recommend the Mushroom Chicken! The workers are always pretty friendly, and the ambience is pretty peaceful, definitely on the quieter side most of the time. read more

I went here a couple times hoping it would be better, the food is mostly fine (as far as buffet food goes, although the crab legs could make you sick,) but the service is terrible. The first time I went I noticed that it seemed like they brought me my bill rather quickly, the second time was no different and the third time, we weren't even there 20 minutes before they dropped the bill off at the table while quickly walking by. I like buffet because I like little bits of different things. I have found few buffets that have good enough food to go back. When the Garden Buffet opened, word spread quickly. We went to try it like so many others in town. I was surprised by how fresh the food was and the quality of food. Favorite things were the hot & sour soup (though not very hot or sour), seaweed salad, salt & pepper chicken and honey pork. They all were fresh and tasty. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. They have so many options. I was concerned that there wouldn't be any options for non sushi lovers but they had it all. Fried rice, sesame chicken, orange chicken, green beans, pot stickers, hot and sour soup, egg flower soup, fruit, jello, puddings, cake, ice cream, and for seafood lovers they had crab, clams, and fried oysters, and much more. I was impressed with the quality of the sushi also. Pricing was reasonable compared to similar locations and is discounted based on age. Food is okay, but after going here 3 times I've found myself not being interested in returning. Their lunch buffet is reasonably priced, but the dinner prices arent worth the food, in my opinion. Nothing is amazing or stand-out, the fried foods taste mostly like fryer oil, and lots of their meats are over cooked and chewy. Their soda prices arent worth the money, paying $4 for soda is ridiculous, especially if you are with a larger party, it adds up really fast. The waitstaff is all nice, though some can be hard to understand. The music is usually really loud, almost comically so, my boyfriend and I couldn't help but laugh at the classical music covers. I'd recommend the lunch buffet to a friend, but I will most likely not be returning myself. read more

The buffet was a mess and the food was rancid it tasted like it had been sitting out all day. when I told them the food was rancid the lady who runs the front still made me pay 24 dollars for my wife which only took 2 bites from her leathery zucchini. It was my husband's birthday and he loves buffet so we went there for Sunday lunch which they charge at the dinner rate. We didn't know this until we had already arrived. $17.99 per person. The restaurant was hot inside and smelled like fish upon entering. That in itself made my stomach turn. I tried a few of the chicken dishes which were mainly tough and overcooked. The spring rolls were soggy. The sautéed green beans were cold and undercooked, I took one bite and that was it. I felt the food was simply subpar. Nothing was great by any means. The young man who brought us our soda's and cleared plates from the table was very prompt and polite. I would NOT recommend eating at this restaurant. read more

One of the few Asian buffets in Roseburg and it's good as well as affordable. It's 13.99 and they have all you can eat sushi. There are two soups, fruit and limited deserts (as this type of buffet doesn't usually center on sweets), but a very large variety of main dishes. You most likely won't be able to try them all in one sitting. Which means you will need to go back. The service was great. The people are friendly. I would recommend it. First of all, I had to download yelp just to write this review. If I could rate a lower star for this place, I would. For starters, we took one bite of food and still had to pay over $40 after saying we were unsatisfied with our meal. The shrimp was dry and chewy. The snowcrab was unappetizing it was cold. The sushi was not stocked up. It was very limited. I was very excited to go to this place, but I will never be returning. read more

We went here a couple weeks ago for our first visit, and it will not be our only visit. We plan to make it a regular dining experience, because we found it to be very affordable for ALL YOU CAN EAT, and the selections very appetizing. And they also have all their food TO GO, if you choose not to dine-in, and charge by the pound. We will also take advantage of that in the future. My only complaint is the lack of any white fish fillets, at least when we visited, with only Salmon fillets, which I do not like. But there are still so many other selections, I am excited about my next dinner there. read more

First Chinese restaurant to offer seaweed, which I really liked. My suggestion would be to ensure everything is labeled above the item. Wasn't sure if they offered takeout. I've been there twice. Both times were s right at 11am when they open. The 1st time there were two people arguing in Chinese so not sure what it was about and yes they were workers for the restaurant. This was upsetting everyone so I asked them to please stop. They complied. Food and selection were okay. The 2nd time I went was today 4/30/25. I don't like sitting in their booths! Quite frankly it's like sitting in a hole. I asked for a table and the gentleman looked and there was no one else sitting at a table, his reply was a booth is okay and tried to sit me at a booth. I said no table please, and he refused. Since you serve your own food what difference does it make where you sit. Evidently this upset him so I left. I will not return. read more
