    My FAVORITE, Fuji Volcano Roll
    Jim D.

I have been there 5 times including their second day open. Everything is fresh and the place is clean and newly remodeled. Service is a little off by American standards, but having been a regular at a bunch of other Pho' shops in other places, it's about what I expect. Pho' broth is not as deep as what I've had, still very good. Sushi had some great surprises for us. It's really good, several innovative things like the Potato Roll. My new favorite is the Fuji Volcano Roll, in a bowl topped with perfectly cooked (not easy to do) and battered squid. . Took out three FUSSY grandchildren there and they couldn't find anything not to like.

Great service and food @ King Pho & Sushi ! Customer service was top-notch! Friendly atmosphere, seemed more lively as well, compared to the last time we dined. Drinks and Edamame starter came quick and our entrees were tasty. I appreciated their timely service throughout our dining experience. We were never waiting for anything and were able to receive the bill and to-go boxes promptly.

Well, they did it and they did it BIG. Real Pho, real meat and plenty of them . They call it "Complete Pho" and it is that. Raw steak that cooks in the broth, meatballs, tripe, tendon and connective meat which all add to flavor and consistencies. And, it's very very good. Couple that with a large menu and great service and you pretty much can not go wrong. Thank you King Pho, ( if you want to have fun reverse it------just sayin!

Family run place which we love! We came for lunch on Valentine's Day and it was a little busy but not overly. We ordered the New Rainbow roll, egg rolls and a vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken and shrimp. Everything was phenomenally Reminded us of our Vietnamese place in LA. We loved that they played music also!

There are a few games for the kids to play outside, and they have a little table for toddlers inside. And the thing I appreciated the most was the changing table in the bathroom! A clean changing table can be hard to come by during a road trip so I was truly thankful for that. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. My kids liked their Teri Chicken, my Bahn Mi was LOADED, and my husband liked his spring rolls. Very convenient stop, especially since there is a gas station near by. We'll definitely be back on our next trip up North!!

The Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Ube soft top looked beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. I've already been back on our return home journey (tried the Vermicelli bowl w lemongrass chicken this time and loved it) and hope to make this a regular stop.

Great service, super clean restaurant and yes, the eggrolls were amazing! Big fat juicy homemade ones and without onions. I never like eggrolls normally because they always have onions and seem to be the same skinny ones every restaurant has. These were deliciously spiced cabbage and cooked perfectly. And huge! My husband ordered the Szechuen Beef with order of fried rice. My daughter and I ordered the General Tso's Chicken one with fried rice and one with pan fried noodles. An order of crab puffs to share. #6 of them, I walked in to pick up the order. There were plenty of options to sit if you want to dine in. The gal came out and told me my order would be a lil longer. I asked how long? About 15-20 more minutes! I'm like ok, I need to go to the store. Went to the store and came back in 20 minutes. Guess what? It was not done the gal apologized and said she got 3 orders right when I placed my order. I waited about 10 more minutes.OK whatever. It happens, but come on, give a realistic time for pick up if you have that many orders at once. The gal was very apologetic and nice. She gave us some complementary boi boi type buns. They proportions were very big. 2 people could share an item. Fried rice and pan fried noodles were good. And nice size proportions. General Tso Chicken was good. My husband loved the Szechuen Beef as well. My granddaughter also ordered the kid size chicken noodle soup. It was delicious she said and also had plenty to eat the next day. It was on kids menu but adult size serving. Crab puffs were AMAZING! The price was good for the amount of food you get. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.

We came in mid afternoon, so it wasn't the busiest time of day, but there was still a small handful of people dining in. I loved the decor of the restaurant and we were quickly seated at a table near the back by the kitchen. We were handed the regular menu and the lunch special menu, even though by the time we arrived it was technically past the lunch special cutoff time. I noticed that there wasn't much of a price difference between the lunch special menu and the regular menu, and there also weren't many items to choose from the lunch special menu, so it was in our best interest to order from the regular menu. I went with the Pad Peth while my husband went with the tom yum noodle soup. We both went with a spice level of 2, since there was a literal warning on the wall telling people that they were not responsible for incorrectly ordering a spice level. I also ordered a Thai tea. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive, and we were starving. The portion sizes were appropriate for the price, and the flavors were absolutely on point for Thai food. I was honestly keeping my expectations low given that we were in Coos Bay, but I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and deliciousness of our food. I also loved that my Thai tea did not come mixed, because I love mixing my own Thai tea and watching the milk swirling through the tea. I've never had Pad Peth before, as I rarely see it on menus at other Thai restaurants, but it's definitely a dish that I would order again. My dish came with the perfect amount of rice as well. My husband loved his tom yum noodle soup. I had a sip of his broth and it was delicious and perfectly spicy. EZ Thai is definitely on my list to return to the next time we visit the OR coast!

They were a little pricier compared to what I'm used to paying, but I figured it was fair because, we in Eugene do not have easy access to a lot of items that are found in our local chain grocery stores. I came across the produce section and was excited to find 2 bags of taro leaves (we call it luau leaves back home). The two packages they had, looked like it had smaller leaves than I preferred, but looked really fresh. I was planning on surprising my family by making palusami since I only had 2 bags and didn't have enough for make laulau. I had all of my ingredients laid out and ready. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I opened the taro leaf packages and found that inside the nice and fresh leaf, were small, wilted, yellow, brown spotted, broken and ripped with holes taro leaves! These are basically the leaves that a grocery store should not be selling and instead, they decided to deceive their customer by wrapping those leaves with a nice, fresh one on the outside. I felt so disappointed in this store! I'm from the island, I know my taro leaves. If they did this purposely thinking other people will not notice, shame on the store. I know many have raved about the produce here, and I hope that this is a fluke. I will try again in a couple of weeks. If I get similar results, I will need to talk to the owner about getting a better vendor. Or i'll just order it from back home and pay that shipping charge.

We were the only ones in the dining room with two waitstaff. After we ordered, we hear someone from the kitchen yell, "oh shit!". We never learned why that was said but i can tell you that the dining experience was not pleasant. We started with an order of Spring Rolls, which were okay but extremely cold in the center - maybe they had been made far in advance and left in a very cold refrigerator for too long? Two sauces were served, but failed to provide spoons to use for those rolls - and we had to ask for serving utensils AND napkins. Then the extremely bland Tom Kha soup, served in a large bowl but then failed to provide individual bowls or spoons to eat it (come on servers, have you never eaten soup and know you need spoons and bowls for soup?!). UNtasty Thai Kitchen's take on phad thai was pretty terrible as well. And their larb (which they spell as laarp) was gritty and really unpleasant. We did not eat much of this meal and simply asked for boxes to take home... Upon leaving, I asked their staff if they recently had a change in the kitchen staff and they said no,.it was the same chef. If so,it certainly did not seem as it was a few months prior. You've lost three customers for this was a pretty awful experience. Happy to discuss this further, if you wish to reach out. UPDATE: Talked with their manager, Griffin, and he was very apologetic about the experience and offered either a credit or refund back to my account. I chose brown and it's not like traditional brown rice...it's much more delicious. It is tasty by itself without any sauce or seasoning. We came mid afternoon and I think we're the only people here. Our food still took a bit to arrive and the required time along with the heat suggests everything is prepared fresh. I loved it. The veggies were not over cooked. They were crispy!
