We just had ANOTHER amazing meal. We go here two or three times a month and always love the food and the amazing, hard working people. The food always arrives quickly and hot. We tried Delightful Kitchen after they'd been open for a bit to give them time to work out any kinks. I was excited to try the dim sum since it's really the only place with a menu for dim sum. We ordered the hot tea, siu mai and har gow to start. The dim sum took a bit so I was thinking they were making it fresh. They came out in the familiar silver steamers. The siu mai were small and had a slightly off flavor. The same with the har gow-though, they were better. We also ordered lunch combination of pork fried rice, mar far chicken and pork chow mein. It, also, had a slightly off flavor. Ambiance is nice, service was very good but the food was just not what we expected. I might stop back in the future hoping something improves. read more

I have been back to the Delightful kitchen several times now and love it. The hot and sour soup I thought was just ok the first week is now one of my favorites and I order it every time. We have tried several different dishes and they have all been very good. The service has been excellent and consistent . This place has become our go to lunch stop. read more

Firstly the young lady who greeted us was very charming and friendly We chose a table in the back that seated 4, and even though we were only two people she was gracious and left us menus and water When we finally chose, she kindly answered all my questions and made several trips and gave us a free appetizer because it was my birthday We asked for Thai coffee and she replied "sadly, no l'll have to learn how to make it" with a lovely smile and a sparkle in her eyes Next the food The food was delicious even though the sweet and sour pork was a bit disappointing. We ordered dessert and she asked if we wanted coffee , which she made fresh for us. This place is genuinely delicious. It's well made and not pricey at all. The service is great. The lo mein was perfect as well as the soup dumplings and custard buns. My husband really liked the pork steamed buns as well. The first time we came here it had just opened and he didn't like the service, but after going back a second time I think it's won him over. I really liked my lunch there today. I don't like bell peppers, little corn mixed in pork chow mein, this did not just loads of pork and lots of bean sprouts, onion, celery and grated carrot. It was hot and crispy veggies. Egg drop soup was very good and the hot tea. Fried rice was good too. The place is really clean and newly painted no clutter. Staff is very kind and attentive. Worst "Chinese" food ever. Chow mien was flavorless with sticky overcooked noodles. Some steamed chicken. Fried rice was just white rice with a couple slices of bbq pork on top. Egg flour soup was lukewarm at best. The lighting inside is just really dark. Dinner was just okay. There was a group sitting next to us that was just really loud. Won't return because egg flour soup should be definitely warm and hot. read more

Delightful Kitchen just opened and it's walking distance from my house. I really, really wanted to love it. I ordered take out the family special with sweet and sour pork, fried rice , broccoli beef and Mar par chicken. And it was ...ok. I like my deep fry to be a little crispy and it wasn't at all. Nothing really stood out. It was just ok. I might go back and try something else but I was a little disappointed. I hope they make it, It's a tough business. This is possibly the best restaurant in Roseburg. The curry dishes are my favorite. It is quiet, not usually too crowded and the people are very pleasant. I would recommend to anyone liking Thai or Chinese food. read more

I'd read reviews that the service was poor -- this was shortly after they opened-- but that was not my experience. It was prompt and pleasant. Our waitress handled our large group easily, and various complications were navigated without a hitch. The food was great, much like the restaurant previously at this location, and the "makeover" was well done; it's now not quite so dark, and airier. The only criticism is more of a preference: I wish there were more Thai food on the menu. read more

The shrimp pad Thai has no flavor and the shrimp was undercooked, the shrimp yellow curry had way too much salt. We were told that you have to tell them when you order how much salt you want in your food! We also ordered 2 appetizers; egg custard tarts and pork buns. To drink we had Thai iced tea. The only two things that were good was the ice tea and the egg custard tarts. We couldn't even finish our meals and didn't bother to take the rest home. Unfortunately it was our first and last time going to this restaurant. Very disappointing as it was a total loss! read more

Out of the four items we ordered they could only make us two. After we placed our order the server came back and said we do not have this, so we said okay just keep the three items, she returned 10 minutes later to say they didn't have ingredients for our third item so we stayed with 2 items. When we finally got our 2 items the beef and the chicken tasted like they had been boiled first and the sauce was added at the end and the flavor was very bland. It took 45 minutes to get our two items. Sadly the server was making phone calls to phone orders that had come in, to inform them they were out of ingredients. Not sure this place can survive. Maybe concentrate on a very small limited menu before jumping to a big menu with a lot of choices and not being able to deliver to people that are hungry. read more

A friend and I went for lunch. I'm a vegetarian so I wanted a dish with tofu. The waitress went to place my order and came back and told me they were out of tofu. It was 11:30 am. I was disappointed so I told her I'll have the egg foo young. She went to place that order and came back and said that the cook said he was too busy and wouldn't be making it that day. What????? Old fashioned egg rolls had a cabbage filling like spring rolls. Disappointing and will not order again. Beef chow fun was ghastly. Pale color unappetizing, rice noodles thick and pasty, sauce congealed. Waitress took feedback for kitchen but no offer of a different dish or discount. The more typical Chinese fare going by looked better than what we got. Will try again in a month or so with different food choices and see if they've gotten their routine down. The eggs tarts were quite good, I must admit that. However, the pork fried rice I had was like something I might expect to get at midnight in a Denny's somewhere in the middle of Utah. Horrible! It tasted like bland, tasteless steamed rice with a few flecks of egg in it and some very dry and tasteless pork slices on top. I couldn't even eat it. I tossed it. It made Panda Express look like a three star Michelin restaurant. It rather pissed me off. Not going back. read more
