We chose AVR because Alex was patient, listened to our ideas, and gave us helpful advice. When the size of rocks we wanted was not available, I was willing to use larger ones. But Alex took the extra time to find the exact size we wanted. This was our first landscaping project, so we had many questions. Alex was always friendly and helpful. He also carefully checked the pavers on our patio to make sure they were level and water would not collect. Our project included three walkways, garden bed borders, a paver patio, and a large Japanese-style rock garden. After a year, everything still looks great, and the maintenance has been manageable. We really appreciate Alex's patience, hard work, and attention to detail. We highly recommend AVR!

All of the work was well done, clean, no mess. All the issues got fixed and things look good.

We called a number of businesses whose response was, "We don't do that small a job." However, when we called Chris, he immediately set up an appointment. He was a few minutes early for our appointment, and he listened intently to what we were planning. He waited until we had said our piece and then asked if he could give some suggestions, which were great. He confessed that his team was working on another large job in the Sacramento area, so we knew our project wouldn't be immediate. He gave us a VERY reasonable quote, so we said, "Let's go." In less than three weeks, Chris and his team were at our door, right on time! We reviewed the project, and his team went to work. These men were fantastic, working in the growing summer heat until the project was completed. Chris made sure we knew that we could call him with any questions we had.

3.75/5.0 Stars. Tony Tran and his crew completed concrete, drainage, irrigation and tree hole work…read morefor us at fair prices. We appreciate that he was on time, built solid forms and even suggested additional drainage improvements. The finished result is better than that of a previous contractor. That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. Like many contractors here having tried to get us to pay more during the job he probably decided to keep it. 916-230-7995 is his cell.

I asked him to look at some things beyond my original request and he gave me some recommendations about how I could maximize my irrigation and save water. He and his crew showed up the next day and completed the work as promised. Unfortunately my dreams are bigger than my budget so the rest of the recommendations will have to wait until next month. Bottom line...I'm a single woman who has been taken advantage of by many "handymen". Francisco listened to my thoughts and concerns and guided me in the right direction. I know nothing about irrigation and don't really care to...I just need it to water my plants, not waste water and most importantly not blow up like it did after the "handyman" did the repair. I'm quickly learning to hire the people skilled in the trade, it might cost a little more up front but they do it everyday and paying for that experience will save in the long run. I just paid for this same repair a year ago that was half a$$ but I'm confident it's done right now and if something happens Francisco will make it right! Finding a contractor with integrity who really cares about quality work and customer satisfaction is rare these days. You won't be disappointed in his work. I'm extremely happy with everything that Francisco and his crew did and am looking forward to having them back next month to make my yard even better!
