Amazing service. Wide selection of lighting. Affordable or extravagant peices. Clearance in august…read moreand september. There is quite the selection of peices online. But to save you time. Just narrow down the search to the particular style you want and come to the store. Service is spectacular here. Upon walking in, i was greeted and helped instantly. There are some beautiful peices here for any price range. The nice part is that everything is hung and lights are on so you can see the full effect. The ceilings are 12 feet high so they are typical of most homes. They have lots of sale items which are typically the last lf the item and are used as displays. These can be bought and taken home the day of sale. Other items if are not carried in stock take about 4 weeks...any sooner and its possible for damage to occur to the lights. I luckily snagged an amazing peice for just $39 regular $450. It was the last of its kind and display but they were doing the clearance to make room for the new inventory which arrives in october. Within one hour i had my peice all cleaned up like new and packaged nicely for transport. They sell all sort of light bulbs here too. So you can get all your needs met on one visit. The difference of here and the chain stores are that the service is spectacular. Theres a wider selection. And you get to see displays in use so that you can visulaize the light they give off. A must visit if you are buying a new home or renovating!

It is in a busy shopping area of the city and so it can get a bit complex getting in and out of the parking lot given the other nearby businesses but that ought to change once the Costco closes and that car traffic moves. Plus Andrea from…read morepaint walked me over to a specialty item, I was having difficulty finding. For that reason I upped my score two points. Minus The staff are exceptionally skittish and I had more help from customers than employees. One employee in appliances made such an argumentative stance for serving me. Had been paged to assist me. The staff member that paged for me stepped up and scolded him. I dislike stores that have employees that would rather be on break or welfare. Some enthusiasm goes a long way. I decided that I would buy the fridge water filter elsewhere. It was too difficult to gain a little assistance. I also lost the energy to spend any more money for items still on my list. Good job Mr. Minus you know who you are.

Fun LARGE home decor store located in the 124 street shopping area…read more Popped in here for the first time the other week while completing the 124 Street Red Shoe Crawl and absolutely fell in love with the store. From hand shaped book ends to the neatest hooks you'll ever find to keep your keys safe (did someone say squirrel?) to funky house numbers, Henry's is your place! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere bright, cheery, and full of natural light with huge floor to ceiling windows. They also carry a selection of furniture and had some fabric swatches so I'm pretty sure they are customizable. Can't wait to go back and add to my unusual hooks collection!

I have been meaning to drop in since they moved into the neighbourhood. I can't believe it's been…read moreso long! We came by when 124 St hosted their All is Bright festival to light up the street. What a street party! Many many unique decorator items, furniture, lighting, art, even some really really nice clothing at fair prices! Nicely laid out vignettes of furniture, and the staff were quite gracious and helpful considering how many people were in the store that night. Depending what you are shopping for, you will want to spend some time exploring all the corners nooks and crannies for nifty items. I was particularly fascinated by the selection of hooks and LED lighting. The challenge with this neighbourhood is the parking, it's limited, and frequently you will need to resort to paying for either a meter on the street or in the Impark lot behind MEC. The bridge construction has been difficult for businesses in the area, and now the development going up kitty-corner to Henry's PFT will add to the challenge. Leave yourself some time, make a trip out of it, stop for a bite to eat and you will have a more relaxing visit.

Shopping for an area rug for our new house was a daunting process. After multiple trips to shops…read morelike Home Sense, Winners and other smaller home retailers I decided I should try a store that specialized in rugs to try and find something I loved. The store does custom orders, and also has "off the shelf" rugs to purchase that are organized by size. The size organization was a huge time saver, allowing me to concentrate on pattern and texture. A staff member brought me some water to drink and large plastic clips to mark the rugs I like (the same process as wedding dress shopping for any ladies who have been through that). There were a lot of rugs I liked, and one in particular that was exactly what I had pictured wanting for our space. The staff brought it down and laid it out on the floor for me to look at, and then wrapped it up for us to put in our car. The purchase process here is a little different than a normal store - you "sign out" rugs for 48 hours with a credit card hold, and if you like it, the store confirms over the phone and then bills your card for the rug(s) you are keeping. They emailed me my bill and care instructions within 30 minutes of talking on the phone. The staff here were lovely and the selection is top notch. The rug I selected was within the budget I set out before going shopping, and prices were totally in line with other stores I have visited.
