The second time we were told the visible price on the merchandise was wrong........I said....Hmmm...but the price is ON the tag. Apparently it was incorrect. WELL. OKAY. We paid the higher price. The THIRD time we were told the price was incorrect I did point out the price on the tag. NO. I did press the point. The woman said the objects were worth more and if I didn't agree, I could leave the items. I left the items. At first we were upset. But then we realized there are so many other places we can go to spend our money.

I can't comment on price comparisons to similar stores as I've no clue what things are supposed to cost; however, the fence was very quickly done and neatly and the fellow building it was kind and gracious. Definitely worth a visit -- plus, they have free popcorn for everyone!

Well I now have a new project to do.. like I have nothing better to do. Ok.. so I dismantled the pipes and looked online to see how to do this repair myself. Now that I had a list of things needed, off I went. First stop ... RONA which is very close to my place . Walked in there- found the piping ( I think ) so I asked a sales rep .. he points to where I was and says .. everything you need is all there and walks away . ( Well that was informative ! ). Second stop... Lowes. Not a rep in sight.. I find the items but there was something missing.. eventually a rep shows up so I ask about what I need- I got recommended a good plumber ( well if that is not a great answer .. thanks scoop ! ). Put everything back and walked away. Seeing as I was doing other errands as well, I go into this Home Depot. Not only were there two reps in the aisle I needed to go.. but they actually helped me with everything I needed. These two guys spent the time and told me exactly what I needed, how to do it and gave me the things I needed to do this . Total cost $20. Time spent: 30 minutes. So here is my advice... Any home repairs or renovations you need to do.. go here ! Forget the other guys who were disappointingly useless !

Items like mouldings and baseboard are seriously overpriced at box hardware stores. It's worth the visit to Timbertown. We've also ordered Canadian oak hardwood here and were really impressed with the consistency and length of the boards. My dad has done a number of hardwood flooring installs and commented that this was the nicest wood he's laid. We've always found the customer service at Timbertown to be friendly and helpful. The store is well laid out and easy to browse and the staff really go out of their way to offer assistance.
