I wish i could give them a neg. zero Review.
My car broke down last Saturday and since I live down the street from this Shop i stopped by on Tuesday and asked if i could push my car there and them tell me what was the reason it wouldnt start. I suggested to the young man either a fuel pump or Crank sensor, im not very car smart but i did grow up in a garage so i had an idea. The gentleman assured me they could check it for free and they would call me of tge outcome. I did ask pricing on Labor and if i could buy my own and have them put it on. He said $65 an hour for labor and yes i can get my own part. They will call before work is done and I can decide then what to do. So i call each day with no answers since my car had not been checked yet. So I decide to go to the shop Friday and speak with Mike the owner. I tell him Im 8 months pregnant, single and pregnant ill add and i need my car, i need to know whats wrong so i can figure out if i fix it or cut my losses. Not to mention i am going to need to drive to hospital when in Labor so its important to know whats going on with my car. He promised it would be looked at in morning and he would call me to let me know. Well next morning i get a call from Mike 11am. He says "Hey we have your car ready" i ask "Okay whats wrong with it" he says " It was your crank sensor and we went ahead and put it on for you" I was shocked they worked on my car without calling first but I knew the sensor was a $31 part so i figured $100 for parts and labor no big deal...I was shocked when he said bring $209 cash or $219 card...I didnt argue i just said im on my way. Upon getting there i was greeted by a worker and i asked if i could speak to Mike, he was not there but would be back in 10 min. So i asked to see my charges, cause i need to know facts before i get upset. Sure enough they charged me $65 in Labor and $149 in parts. Thats right $149 for a $31 part. So now im upset. I take a seat and wait for Mike. When he arrives i ask why he worked on my car without calling me, he apologized and said i usually do but i knew you needed your car. So then i ask why im paying $149 for a $31 part, at this point His wife chimes in and says its Market price up, everyone does it, Walmart and Target. So i asked to see what they paid, she refused. She then said you know what we will take it off and put yours back on and you can leave. Thats when Mike said i still owed $65 in labor and $35 in diagnostics...wait what???? $35 for what i was told was free. I offered him what he paid in parts and labor. Mind you this part litterally takes 5 min to replace as its just a plug...so to pay for a full hour is crazy but i would have done it just cause. So i havent given $ yet and i walked out as they were pushing my car out of the bay. I asked if they could not push my car too far away so i can push it off the property since im alone and very pregnant. The wife says no it will get push to the road (wich is at an incline snd on opposite side of lot where i need to push it out) and you push it from there. She demanded i have 10 min to move my car from her property. I follow the guy pushing and demanded my keys, he handed them to me and she yelled dont give her those keys she owes for services. I then put my car in neutral and got behind it and pushed it up the incline. I asked one of the workers to help but she told him nope let her push it. So i did, i got bebind it and i pushed till i got it out of her driveway when a customer saw me and pushed me with their car down the street to my house. When i get home and lift my hood i see they ripped my wires out requiring that to be fixed as well.
Just a warning this place will mark up prices 70% if not more and they could care less about their customers well being. What person, especially a woman watches a pregnant woman push a car? Had i went into preterm labor i would have sued them for what they did. By the way i went to autozone and bought my part and put it on myself in 10 min. And fixed what they ripped up. My car now runs. read more
