We had a…read moreToyota Rav4 that got some diesel in the tank from stored gas cans at our home. we were reluctant based on our previous experience. However, the locals on the NextDoor app recommended Hiro Automotive, Hansville Automotive and the dealership in Bremerton. Noteworthy is that the vast majority recommended Hansville AR and not one said to stay away. All referrals had great things to say about Hansville AR, especially how good they were in explaining issues, advice and suggestions for DIY repairs and all around good customer service with "Fair" pricing (everyone is entitled to make a buck, just not to gouge) We called Hiro auto which specializes in Japanese vehicles stated they were not equipped to drain a gas tank. This is not a bad review of Hiro, just that it seems odd an auto repair would not be "Equipped" to drain a gas tank. Called the dealership that cited 5 hrs to drain & clean the tank at $125/hr. So we bit the bullet, reluctantly called Hansville A.R. and talked to Steven. He was polite, well spoken and not only confirmed a lot of the things we already knew, but added to our knowledge, walked us through exactly what he would do and indicated it should only take 1.5-2hrs to drain the tank and determine if anything was damaged at $100/hr. We decided to "chance it" and have AAA tow it over. When Phil the driver of the AAA truck showed up we asked him if he had any experience with Hansville A.R. and his comment was that he did not personally but that "since they got a new mechanic a few years ago" (bingo) he has heard nothing but good things and that he really knows his stuff. My official Review: We had the vehicle towed over at 1pm on Thursday, Steven said he was busy but knowing it was our All Wheel Drive vehicle and the largest snow storm in decades was supposed to hit Friday afternoon said he would do his best to get it to us as quickly as possible. I called at 4:45 and he said he had just started draining the tank and that his initial assessment was that there did not appear to be any damage, and that he could have us done and ready by 10am Friday as long as there were no surprises. At 9:30 am Friday I get a call from Steven who says he has had the car running for about 20 minutes on the fresh gas (we supplied one of our "correct" gas cans) and that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. $216 including tax........ Less than 24 hr service time, excellent communication, on time repair, no up-selling or "you really should....." comments and got us home before the storm hit. Hansville AR will handle all our non-warranty automotive repairs in the future. Thanks Steven

He said their distributor did not have one of the three cables. I went to Rockauto.com and they had all three. They will not buy from them. All my brake lights are on and they diagnosed eight codes. They replaced a $550 ABS pump and said it corrected 7 of the 8 codes. They said it will cost $4,000 to replace the ABS module to get the ABS light to go off. After a week I picked up vehicle, payed $1,300, and upon driving away all of the lights came on. After bringing it back I feel they changed the story to, they have to replace the ABS module to keep all the lights off. So after spending $1,300, my vehicle still has the same two issues wrong that I brought it in for.

My good friend lives in Marysville Washington with a first-year collectible, low mileage Mazda Miata convertible. Her collectible only needed a simple easily accessible parts replacement. The dealer's price quote was ridiculous. Partly because of Boeing and local race tracks up and down Highway 99 there are plenty of specialty repair shops that are super high tech. We were happy to drive 100 miles for a respectful quality shop. We radiated out from Marysville using consumer recommendations and yelp. I wrote or spoke with over 11 independent specialty shops. Unbelievable because nobody wants to do this simple profitable repair. Everybody have been quite polite and one shop suggested Easy Fix. A specialty repair shop owner actually recommended a competitor! Saturday hours! Unusually polite and clean! Low prices! Half of what a dealership wanted to charge! Masen greeted Christine with her Mazda as soon as we arrived. He spoke in easy to understand terms about what was done and what was needed in a most caring fashion. There were so many adjustments and repairs for so many cars and trucks that are actually simple and less expensive to do than a factory authorized dealer. The RAV4 is coming in for an oil and filter change besides a good inspection. EASY FIX is a convenient location yet a touch hidden for your security. Wonderful people, shop and repair quality. Mason & Breonna (sorry if I misspelled that) were incredibly kind, trustworthy, and easy to get along with. They replaced my AC compressor and recharged my AC, which thankfully fixed my AC before these hot months coming up. I would absolutely recommend people to go here. They are not only smart, knowledgable mechanics, but they are also good people with good hearts.

I went to Les Schwab because they'd replaced my tires recently. The sweet young guy (LS does not require much experience) sent me over to FS Autoworks who he felt could better diagnose. These older trucks are quirky! The owner, Jeremy, took the time to figure out what was actually going on--with some crazy old school electrical trick-- stayed with it right up until closing, and got me safely back on the road that day. What I appreciated most was the communication. He explained the issues clearly, helped me prioritize what needed to be addressed, and was mindful of cost constraints without ever compromising safety. As someone going through a divorce and trying to keep an old truck, a cabin renovation, and life in general moving forward, that meant a lot. I really felt so taken care of and trusted every recommendation. If you have a Diesel Truck, or any truck, FS Autoworks is the place to go. It's hard to find people who are both knowledgeable and honest. Jeremy was both. They gave me a budget for it and I talked to a few shops before deciding to take it in to Three Lakes. Mark was a consummate professional and seemed to be very familiar with what was needed. I was only without a car for a couple of days and the car runs great! Plus, my sister and her husband were very happy that the costs were far less than expected.
