I was kicked out every single time. My next stop is THIS Yelp review. We have been a customer of Ace Hardware stores all around the surrounding areas for many many years. This is not the first offense, & it only happens at this store!!! we frequently shop at the Clifton store while working in the area. every time we go in we dread it because we are followed by several employees all at once watched & even doubled up on each end of isles constantly asking us what we're looking for even to stand just a few feet away from us just staring at us after we say no thank you to his first initial 2-3 offers for help . We've had employees block off isles standing at each end and stare at us like we are thieves, and they are waiting to catch us do something and be the hero for the store or something, I get doing your job but if there is not enough work to keep ALL OF them busy they all shouldn't be called in to work just to STAND AROUND A follow around and harass Paying customers. My Gf and I are harassed today again & addressed the cashier she laughed in our face & told my gf that "it's because he looks mean! It's the way he looks!" & with other customers behind us in line waiting to check out! How embarrassing ! IM SURE ITS ALL ON CAMERA it was at the register - Wow we are humiliated & shamed & treated like white trash & made to feel like a thief all because their judgment on how we look in our dirty work clothes and that I can't smile because I had my jaw shattered from a Crain accident??? & still the clerk laughed as she apologized, so there is no sincerity there. I will be going to YELP review next on this location next. Treated like thieves -morftifying... and unprofessional customer service and no support in the matter just laughter even after telling her how embarrassed, even her laughing while we're in line how she also treated us by mocking at our distress & laughing at us. Bullying by adults .... Just added to the embarrassment we can't believe all these years of coming in that we're getting judgment passed on us the whole time it's been like a game for them how would yall like to be judged and followed and watched like a hawk and then laughed at by cashier and told by her herself why they admittedly target us when we come in the location- Oh and no this just sealed the deal the people we work for went directly down to Clifton store to speak to the manager and were told yeah they already heard all about it! They always wanted to keep the business locally but after this they said they may choose to do burglar where But was never offered an apology or any thing what so ever! How rude and unprofessional to be okay with how your employees conduct business and treat customers.
