I'm writing this review as a vendor at Hico Mercantile... I started out as a customer then jumped in to having a booth at the store, having never done it before, and not really knowing what to expect. The store is very organized, and they have a great computer system for tagging items, keeping track of your inventory, sales, etc. It's been a lot of fun, the owners & staff are helpful, and I've learned so much. The owners communicate promptly & efficiently with any questions or concerns I've ever had. They are two of the hardest-working people, and they really want each & every vendor at the store to succeed. They basically make you feel like family. I love the concept of having multiple vendors under one roof. It's a great place to shop and I always find the best gifts, clothes, and home decor! Stop in and see for yourself. You'll likely see one of the owners at the store at all times. They are big on providing great customer service to everyone who walks through the doors. Like I said, they are two of the hardest-working people and they really want their business and their vendors to succeed. read more

The Hico Mercantile consists of various vendor booths. Lots of gift ideas and clothing. Pricing depends on the booth and seller, but no real "bargains." The historic building is beautiful with a second floor full of vendor booths. Good place to wander for an unique gift. read more

Inside you can find any kind of gift or unique decor that you could want. I am convinced I could walk in five times and still see something new! Love this place! read more

Hico Mercantile - Women's Clothing Near Me - Hico, Texas

I would highly recommend stopping by if you are looking for cute home decor. They have silk flowers, kitchen items, clothing and wall hangings. It is two story. You can only get to the second floor (which primarily has clothing) using the stairs. They are reasonably priced compared to other stores that sell similar items. It is located in a cute downtown area. read more

My wife and I shopped there a few weeks ago. Nice stuff with decent prices. I bought a small shelf and then three days later found that they double charged me for it. When asked how they could help, they said it happens a lot to them, BUT, it's not their fault and I should have my bank fix it. So take cash if you want to buy anything. read more

I LOVE this place! This renovated building itself is worth seeing! The moment that you walk in the store, you are enchanted. So many things to see from home decor, food items, lotions, candles, clothing, shoes, and so much more. If you need a unique gift, this is the place to shop! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I live about an hour a way, and it is certainly worth the drive over to shop and then grab a bite to eat! Hico has several great places to eat as well! read more

Cutest vendor mall ever!!! Hit up another store in town for my bday and stopped and the winery down the street after and the owner of there told us to stop by there before leaving town. We didn't even know if was there and were very pleasantly surprised!! Definitely want to go back :) read more

Great collection of shops! The staff is friendly and they have something for the whole family. We will definitely be back!

Love this store and appreciate the work that has gone In to the renovations... however I have visited this store twice. I averaged my purchases and they are $140 each visit. My second experience was not great. We were followed and asked multiply times if we needed our merchandise held. There were four of us and we drove forty five minutes to get there. While eating we discussed how we all felt about the experience and all agreed it felt we were being watched. To say the least it was awkward. I am a small business owner and have been "taken advantage" of so I understand the struggle but the way we were followed was ridiculous. It sadness me to say we will probably not return and from reading the reviews we are not the first to experience this. I do not understand the criteria for following us but maybe make it less noticeable and actually appreciate the business. read more

Great place to shop while in Hico or passing through. Some great one of a kind finds. You are sure to find something for everyone here.

What a great secret in the town of Hico, TX. The store was clean and very inviting. There was a wide variety of items and my wife was in heaven. The building has such character and it's great to see what the owners have done to restore it and hear their plans for the future. The owners are the nicest people and love to just sit and talk with their customers. We will definitely be going back. read more
