Really cool chocolate shop with a huge variety if chocolate and other gifts. Loved that there were a few samples sprinkled throughout the shop. Definitely a place to stop if you find yourself passing through Hico. I was delighted by all the options and really liked that they had a lot of options available in milk and dark chocolate. My friend and i got a variety if treats to try and are enjoying them all- the pups are enjoying the dog bones as well.

We've been coming here for about 4 years Staff is always amazing, the smell as soon as you walk in is phenomenal, selection is top tier.. So many goodies! All packed inside a gorgeous old home. The chocolate covered espresso beans are my favorite but my kiddos love the marshmallows. This place is definitely worth the stop! Mosey around, listen to those old floors creak while the smell of fresh coffee and sweet chocolate fills the air.. I'm telling ya... Try it out

This chocolatier was a great find on our way to Bandera over Labor Day weekend! The historic property with the red tiled roof sits on a corner in Hico, TX and shouldn't be passed by! At Walnut & 2nd street you'll not leave empty handed. Samples are available, but most of all a great variety of various types of chocolates including truffles, toffee, caramels along with specialty gifts. I don't go this way ever and I'm so glad the exterior of the house is so inviting. As I wouldn't have wanted to

Such a cute little house. They have samples of some of the chocolates for you to try, yummy. They have a 15% discount for Military & First Responders, we didn't realize this until we had paid, so I just want you to know. They have lots of other cute stuff to buy too.

Very cute and yummy chocolate shop. Chocolates are made in Hico and sold in this shop. Fortunately there are many opportunities to sample the chocolate before you buy. The shop also has candles, lotions, cute accessories and jewelry. The chocolate is a little pricey buuut, it's not your average Hershey bar. Quality chocolate and great combinations. I definitely will come back during the holidays. The store clerk says they create specialty chocolates with ingredients imported from France. She mentioned chocolate covered cherries that people specifically order during the holidays. Apparently they run out of those very quickly.

America's best-kept chocolate secret is Wiseman House Chocolates. They are INSANELY DIVINE! They simply melt in your mouth with an explosion of yumminess. The presentation and packaging are as gourmet as the taste. A perfect gift for anyone who loves chocolate, especially those who are hard to shop for. We are all the way out in CA. The chocolates were shipped and arrived in perfect condition. Our trip to London included a few gourmet chocolate shops, but Wiseman House Chocolates tops the list. Their new dark chocolate-covered European marshmallow is simply divine! A MUST TRY. Thank you for the unexpected delight! Who would think an American Chocolate Company could make the most divine chocolates? Jody Davis

What a wonderful surprise to find excellent chocolate truffles in this tiny town of 1,500. And it's been in business for 25 years! We went to Hico, TX (from Dallas go south to Glen Rose then west 20 miles) to visit the Koffee Kup Restaurant known for their pies and this chocolate shop was across the street in an old home. Yes I had pie and chocolate truffles. The shop is so cute with glass cases of chocolate and rooms of gift items. Warmly greeted by two young women, I was offered samples of whatever chocolate I wanted. The number one seller, Wild Woman, is a standout of dark chocolate inside and out. I purchased a 6 pack box of Wild Woman and a 6 pack sampler box and was a very happy camper. They also have tours of their factory that are currently suspended so I will have an excuse to go back and won't ever miss them anytime I'm in the area. Yes they will be on my mail order Christmas list.

Cute historical house built in the early 1900's homes a grand selection of chocolates, unique gifts of coffee, soaps, and one of a kind gifts. Beautifully decorated with original floors in tact, this marvelous establishment is one of a kind. We selected a few items, toffee-chocolate-nut covered bark, dark chocolate and peanut butter-chocolate fudge. Everything was delicious! The prices are a little high. The bark was $14.50, small boxed chocolates were $4.50 and the fudge was around $5-6. Well worth the money for this mom and pop store as we love to support our locals. We will be back! It's a must try if you're traveling through Hico. It's across from the Koffee Kup cafe(which is delicious to!).

Yes, I love that place. I go there about four times a year and get little trees and take friends that I've never been there before.

The choices that seem to have gone into the reuse of materials and the decorating style get 5 stars from me. The two staff members we interacted with couldn't have been any nicer or more attentive. From the first greeting to saying goodbye, they were great. The plate presentation was unusual, but very attractive. All of that said, this is still a restaurant. I had a Brisket Burger. The burger itself on the pretzel roll was ok, but the Brisket..... I have lived in Texas all of my life. I have had Brisket from some truly talented pit masters, and I always judge it by the tenderness, smoke ring, and bark. This was mushy and wet (not moist, more like it was boiled?) and very pale with little taste. If this did start as Brisket, then what was done to it is borderline criminal. Overheard another customer talking to the owner (I believe), commenting on the unusual choice of cornbread waffles with the Chicken Fried Chicken, and her response was that she was from "up North", and didn't understand "Texas Toast" served down here. Maybe that is the issue. When you hear a name like "Let's Eat Texas" you are expecting food cooked a certain way, with a certain taste. Maybe they should rename it "Let's Eat New Jersey", at least then you would know what you were getting into.
