As a life long Illinois QC resident, I always enjoyed Mexican cuisine on the east side of the river. And there are many good places over here. Then I heard about Ganzo's and I don't know how I missed it for so long! We had a really good server (Dalton) and the restaurant is very clean. Margaritas we're as good as I've ever had. I had the Mexican tacos, my wife had the Chicken Enchiladas...fantastic! But the menu is so extensive...I gotta go back for the Fajitas! If you haven't tried Ganzo's, you need to get there!!! read more

I ordered the Macho Nacho with Spanish rice and found what looked like a burnt piece or possibly even a bug in my food. I used my flashlight to confirm that it was actually a bug and that's just what it looked like. I sent pictures and I reached out to the restaurant, and instead of taking it seriously, I was told it was just "burnt rice from the bottom of the pan." I didn't feel like my concern was handled with care, instead of that u can't justify anything why serve me burnt rice or anything like that in that matter. I was disappointed in how it was brushed off. I paid for a full meal and a good experience not something questionable in my food. read more

Was in the area on a business trip, visited the restaurant a few times. Great food, great atmosphere, great service from the staff and the music is always jammin' ! Thank you for the hospitality! read more

Craving Mexican? Ganzo's is the answer. Their chips and salsa are the best appetizers. The torta is a must try, and the carnita dinner is a go-to. Great drink selections, wonderful employees, and the atmosphere is spot on giving you all the Mexican feels. read more

The food is an American take on Mexican food, but it's tasty. The portion sizes have decreased over the years, as the prices have increased. Mistakes are often made on carry out orders. My last order I received ground beef enchiladas (I ordered cheese enchiladas) & what was supposed to be a Ganzo's Nacho (menu states it has beans & no meat), I received a nacho with ground beef & no beans. Being semi-vegetarian, neither dishes were acceptable. Our orders have been incorrect more times than I care to count. I'm sure I'll return, as their cheese enchiladas are very good. I guess you just take a chance on what you receive when ordering carry out. read more

We ordered dinner for carry out from Ganzo's for the first time tonight, and it was super delicious! I tried the flautas dinner and hubby had the arroz con pollo. Both were hot, fresh, and flavorful. Service was also speedy and friendly. We look forward to going back soon! read more

I wouldn't call this Mexican food. Tex-mex maybe, but please season the meat. Ordered a steak burrito, at least flavor the hamburger. The "steak" was basically burger, and the salsa is basic, almost flavorless. The service was great, the food is edible, but it is lacking. read more

Ok,,,, this is original Mexican fare.... In short, there are a ton of excellent Mexican restaurants in the quad citites ..... I've lived in LA and TX and there are no better Mexican restaurants per capita in the USA than the quad cities (iowa/Illinois).... Now.... they do all the traditional perfectly ..... I won't say this is the best Mexican restaurant in the QC.... BUT it is really good and TRADITIONAL.... It's in the mix of my Mexican restaurants!! read more

Love this place!! Have ordered takeout several times during the pandemic. The process has been seamless and the food always delicious!! Their stuffed peppers are amazing and perfect for anyone watching their carb intake!! Highly recommend!! read more

I love Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant! They have an amazing selection of tasty Mexican food. I usually order the beef enchiladas because their sauce is delicious and nothing else can match their quality. This family owned establishment is great! The owners and staff are very friendly and provide a great dining experience. read more

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. Excellent Margaritas! Great Service. And take out as well!! read more

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. Really love the salsa. Food is very fresh and served hot. Big portions. Great cooks, great servers. Lots of pride in the establishment, making many improvements to make the dining experience enjoyable. AJ was a excellent worker. read more

This family-owned business has been at it for years in several locations with this being the newest. They have also operated a taco-wagon that has been a regular sight at many fairs and events over the years. Ganzo's sells your usual "Americanized" mexican items;tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc. Quality is consistently high but the service can sometimes be a little slow. Complimentary chips and salsa (the best in town!) are brought out before your meal. I can't comment too much on the various kinds of food as I usually get the all you can eat taco bar when I go so things are made just how I like them. Just wish they had a little finer shred on the lettuce. Chunky lettuce doesn't do good in tacos. Ganzo's is also a great spot for Cinco de Mayo celebrations as they close down the street out front for a huge party. If you're looking for some decent Mexican food that is much better than Tacos' Bell and John's you can't go wrong with Ganzo's. Now...are they better than Rudy's? read more

Very upset with the service today. Ordered just One enchilada and a soda to go. The said it would be 25 minutes which I should canceled then. When I got there I had to go in and it took another 5 minutes to get waited on. Another 5 minutes to get my order with no social distancing going on or no masks being used. Left and found that left my soda out. Went back and called them to bring it out to my car as I was afraid to go in again. Took another 5 minutes to get my soda. Will be a long time before I go back but not inside. read more

Good food but I received a strawberry margarita for $8.50 that had absolutely no liquor in it. I was charged $1.55 for a side of guacamole that never arrived to the table. Unlikely that I would return. read more

Why don't they offer chips and salsa when you order to go? Your spending just as much , if not more

Been going to ganzos for 40 years. Gone down hill. Screwed up our order for the 5th-6th time tonight then just try scraping off their fuck up and adding cheese to cover it up. I told them I wanted it fresh the way I ordered it. By the time I got my food my family was finished with theirs. Not to mention people came in after us and received their food before us ? And they didn't even knock anything off our overly priced bill either. Doubt I'll go back anytime soon if ever read more

This used to be one of my husband and I's favorite places to go. Over the past year the service has gone downhill. People don't greet you when you come in, even though there's usually people rolling silverware at the first booth in view. The taste of the food is good, but the amount of meat in tacos is almost non existent. I've sent them a message on their Facebook page about concerns and it's never been answered. I rarely write a bad review, but save your money because the pricing has gone up quite a bit, for less food and poor service. There's also never a manager around to even address. The server turnover is so bad we rarely see the same one twice. Sad because I like the flavor. read more

Definitely the best Mexican food in the Quad Cities. The menu is huge and there is something for everybody. Ganzos even has a paleo menu which features healthier options. The staff is always on their toes and it is always clean. The stuffed peppers and el Plato are my go to, but the tacos cannot be beat. High quality food and a caring staff, makes a great experience! read more

Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant - The chicken stuffed peppers with a side of veggies, the beef stuffed peppers are incredible as well! - Mexican Near Me - Davenport, Iowa

Ordered lunch to go 3 separate times and managed to get the wrong thing all 3 times. I even had the gal repeat my order of flour shell tacos with no beans to make sure she got it correct and I get home there's corn shell tacos with what seems like extra beans. I understand mistakes happen that is why I returned a few more times. I'm better off dining in next time that way I can be sure my order is correct. read more

If you are looking for authentic mexican food... this is not the place. If you are looking for americanized mexican food.. this IS the place! This is the kind of place that is GREAT if you know what you are walking into. If you walk in wanting authentic, you will be disappointed. If you walk in wanting things covered in cheese, you will be so happy. Out of all the American Mexican places in the QC, Ganzo's is the best. (Way better than Sancho's and WAY WAY better than Rudy's.) When we were there it was 2 for 1 draft night.. pretty legit. read more

This restaurant had always been my favorite place to eat. However when I bought 3 gift cards for Christmas gifts in August total of $60, I found out they do not care about their customers! I should have know in hindsight when the waitress didn't give me a receipt that it was a little fishy! She gave me paper gift certificates saying they were out of the plastic ones! When my family recently used them, they found out if they didn't use the whole amount on the certificate they would lose the balance. The manager and the owner refused to make it right saying I had received the wrong gift card that these were used for fundraisers. I won't be coming back. Beware of bad business practices read more

aj was very helpful with my to go order thank you very sweet and bright personality only been working for 8 months and hes so professional

Save yourself. NEVER eat here. I've probably eaten at 30+ Mexican restaurants in my life and this is the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Wait, scratch that, that's offensive to Mexican restaurants everywhere; this is just the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Taco bell is more authentic than this place. Seriously. And tastier and cheaper. You've been warned. read more

I have been here multiple times and every time has been a great experience! My favorite is the Super Chuco it's a huge version of the burrito that is almost enough for two meals. I would definitely recommend Ganzos to anyone who hasn't yet tried it. read more

Ganzo's has the best chips & salsa in town. They are a hiden treasure. For cinco de mayo they do a "nocho ordinary 5k" with a lot of festivities and proceeds going towards the Autism Society. Thumbs up for doing something great for the community! read more

After 5 visits to Ganzo's mexican I give them a hearty thumbs up. All the food was what I ordered , how I ordered it and the service was very good. I will continue to vist them when I am in the area. Possibly the worst margaritas on the face of the planet. They should be ashamed to call themselves a "Mexican restaurant". I understand this is the Quad cities and most Mexican restaurants are going to serve fake margaritas with sour mix instead of real lime juice, but this place has bred an entire different type of margarita. After taking the first drink, I would have rather been drinking toilet water. Disgusting. This place needs to watch a YouTube video on how to make a real Mexican Margarita! Come on, don't be cheap! Make a real drink using real like juice for god sakes. As if that wasn't the worst part- the salsa that was served had no flavor at all! IT WAS STEWED TOMATOES!!!!!! The exact same type that my mom used to get out of a can to make her spaghetti with. I remember gonzo's when I was a small child up on Locust. Wow how times changed. This place is awful. If you want good Mexican food in the quad cities, (or at least decent) head to Azteca on Brady St- notice I said Brady Street because all the other locations are much different and not as good. But if you're dead set on trying Mexican food/drink that taste like it was cooked/mixed by a 10-year-old from outer space, Ganzos just may be the place for you! read more

Went there today for lunch. Stood at the door for 5-7 min before anyone even asked me if I've been helped. Then sat down and watched other customers being helped in larger groups. I grew up eating Ganzos. They have shown a nice presence in the community and have developed a loyal following. Sadly, they have gone down hill in terms of food quality and service. It's not bad food, its just basic Mexican American food. Uninspired. Prices have become quite high as well outside of happy hour which offers half price apps. The margaritas are some of the worst I've ever had. I don't get how a Mexican joint screws up margaritas but they did. With all the other CHEAPER authentic options in the QCA Ganzos has sadly become an after thought for me. read more

We actually really enjoyed eating there this past weekend. This is a favorite of my boyfriend's family and we had to try it. Our service was great. I eat at Ganzos a few times a month and normally get beef enchiladas, which are very good. I went tonight and I thought I would try something different, the fish tacos and they were terrible. 3 pieces of "fish stick" cod in a flour shell with big chunks of nasty cabbage and a very avg. sauce. The worst fish tacos that I have ever had. I couldn't believe that was thier fish tacos option, with how popular fish tacos have become, again they were horrible....I guess it's back to beef Enchiladas for me. read more

Things seem to have really gone downhill here lately. Poor customer service-the waitress forgot the sour cream, never offered or brought taco sauce, no refills on drinks, and finally asked if everything was okay AFTER we were done eating. The taco bar was messy with spilled ingredients, but no one wiped it off the entire time we were there. Portions seem smaller and prices have gone up. The restaurant seemed rather disorganized-the woman who seated us brought us chips and salsa and said our waiter would be "right with you." He never came, and when she came back by she asked if our order had been taken. When we said no, she actually said, "Well, maybe he went to the bathroom or something." It didn't seem like anyone was in charge. Certainly not the Ganzos of years past. read more
