If you need a window or similar cut for your own dyi install, these guys are the best. A good price and fast service if you go to pick up yourself. I needed to do a quick window replacement and called them. I gave them window pane measurements leaving one- eighth of an inch less than actual on all sides. You should double check how much smaller it should be when you have them cut it. Anyway, my measurements worked and I'm happy. Be aware though if you purchase caulk or anything there it's probably seriously marked up. I was ok with that as I didn't have time to go to hardware store before the rain hit. read more

The whole team was phenomenal. I was in contact with Pam the entire time and she is so great! She is very knowledgeable and I received great service from her since day one. Courtesy, knowledge, timeliness, and honesty. Those are the traits you want from a service provider when you are in a panic because those crazy storm winds fractured the glass of a 1950's-era steel sliding-door. If Pam answers the phone, you are in good hands. She probably knows more about glass repair than most of the folks any other place would send out in the field. So that's reassuring. She was quick to give a (very competitive) estimate, with a thorough explanation after hearing about my door situation, and was able to have a team out the next day. Now here's the thing...we were going to replace this sliding door anyway this summer, so replacing the glass for a couple months' use wasn't what we really wanted to do. Plus with all the door's corrosion, there was no certainty it would assemble back together once taken apart. Gandy sent out two pros, Tim and Blaine, who listened and understood the situation and eyeballed the challenges involved in the construction of the door - and gave me a lifehack that would tide me over until we can do the proper renovation. All at no charge. I'm sure plenty of other places would have gone ahead and tried to do the replacement and then if the door wouldn't go back together, give me the old ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ with, "Well, that's gonna have to be replaced, and we don't do that, so now you have a hole in your house. First, thank goodness my request for service using the Yelp app went to 5 other businesses. I would not have found Gandy Glass if it had not been shared with others! Pam at Gandy's responded quickly and said she could send someone out to look at the locked sliding door at my in-laws to see if they could get it opened. It was a Friday and they looked at the door. Unfortunately they weren't able to open it. By Monday, once they were open, I had a message letting me know what had to be done to get the door open. I said at this point I just wanted the door opened. They went over, broke open the lock, found a replacement lock, and installed it into the door all in less than 4 hours! Unbelievable! I had contacted 3 locksmiths, one came over....no one suggested not repairing the lock and replacing it instead. Even if they had to remove the trim around the door, Gandy gave me options! Thank you so very much! It's 90+ degrees here and having that sliding door opened to ventilate their home was important to these two elderly people! Pam, who made sure to update me, and the two gentlemen who fixed the sliding door, thank you for your help and service! Our relationship with Gandy Glass started when a teenager thought it would be entertaining to take a shot at our house with a BB gun and cracked an 8' plate glass window that had stood in that spot since our house was built in 1936. Dennis and his team from Gandy very professionally evaluated the glass and the mounting for it and carefully measured the template to replace the glass. The professionalism and expertise with which they replaced our broken glass and healed the injury to our treasured home was more than welcome. I highly recommend Gandy Glass. I have hired Gandy Glass three times. They replaced several windows in my house. The glass installers did a perfect job each time . They arrived on time for the jobs, worked quickly, were very polite, and never made a mess. After you call and make an appointment for a consultation, a representative from Gandy comes to your house to take measurements. One to two days later, they e-mail you a detailed description of the work and and an estimate. If you agree with the estimate, you are required to pay a deposit. After they receive your deposit, it takes about 3-6 days for them to install the window. The average cost to remove and replace large windows was about $300 (includes material, labor, and installation of new steel window frames), which was a lot less than what I was expecting. read more

I had two sliding glass doors installed this week. Dennis was very honest and down to earth. Provided me with the option to repair the doors rather than replace them to save money, I ended up just replacing them anyways. Pamela was very helpful and provided a lot of great information when I had tons of questions. The guys doing the install were very polite and did a great job and cleaned up well after the job was done, even when an unforeseen issue popped up. They even went and got their own tools from home to fix the issue (not caused by them) and it looks great. My family and I used them for years. They are prompt and reasonable until things go wrong and then they won't warranty their work. They installed the wrong glass in my front door and side lights and broke the carved wooden trim - and charged me over $500 for the "service". They have refused to honor their work and refused to replace what they damaged. They did, however, offer to repair their work for an additional $250. They are great unless they damage your home - then you are on your own. read more
