I tried four different flavors of the Kimbap, and was so curious how they would taste. There was the Spicy Anchovy, Thai Chicken, Sweet Pork and Oh Shiitake . Can you guess which one I liked? It was the "Oh Shitake". This is a healthy alternative and instead of rice being the base it's quinoa. It's filled with shiitake, spinach, bell peppers, pickled radish, chickpea, chia seed cilantro and nori. It's a great snack to bring on picnics, beach, car rides or eating at home. There are different sauces that are paired with the Kimbap and you can switch it to different flavors. The Kimbap is free of dairy, refined sugars, artificial additives and preservatives. I know the Chef/Owner is working on another recipe and I am looking forward to trying that out when it's ready. Go check it out if you love healthy food.

I can eat this all day, every day. Im not exaggerating! Super pleasantly surprised at the Owner's take on these kimbap twists! Don't think of it as kimbap -- forget everything you know about traditional Korean kimbaps, and dont you dare call it a sushi roll. You're more cultured than that! Thai chicken curry: quinoa with beautiful orange sweet potatoes, crunchy and sweet red bell peppers, flavorful yellow Thai chicken curry, Thai basil, and all wrapped up in seaweed and cut into bite size with a savory coconut curry dip on the side. Sweet pork: quinoa with sweet and savory ground pork, aromatic cilantro, egg, spinach, crunchy pickled radish wrapped up in seaweed and served with a side of chili maple dip. Both were phenomenal! I am so glad I tried Ganchic and would recommend it to everyone.

Thai Chicken Roll Price: $16.50 Rating: this is so unique!! I got the Thai coconut curry, which comes with organic chicken breast, red bell pepper, roasted sweet potatoes, spinach, basil, quinoa, and nori. I loved the coconut curry, which is a bit sweet, savory, and creamy. I wished they gave just a bit more chicken. Overall, all of the ingredients together was a great combination! The rolls are best eaten in one bite since it is made with quinoa instead of sushi rice! Service was EXCELLENT!! Thank you, Christina, for your amazing service!!

The staff who delivered my order curb side was super friendly. The food tastes fresh and healthy. The spicy maple sauce had great flavor and was my favorite party.

One of my favorites spicy anchovy rolls with there famous tangy sauce bon appétit!

How do you find this place? There are no signs or doors that look like anything other than a catering kitchen

Hi, thanks for reaching out! We operate in a shared kitchen space (Crafted Kitchen) so there is no signage. We are currently not accepting individual orders but post our popups and drops on our instagram @ganchic

Are they big? Portions look tiny for the price.

Rolls are huge - totally worth the price. Not only amount of food but most importantly the flavors. I wish I can buy the sauces too so I can put them on everything 🤤

Our waiter was personable and took our order quickly as well as consistently replenished our drinking water. I loved all the greens and pita to wrap the pork and goodies into! We ended with a bday scoop of mango sticky ice cream which was completely different than I've had before and yummy.

The standouts were the green beans, the Brussels sprouts that came with the chicken, the pork shank and the tuna and crunchy quinoa salad. I'm still thinking of that crunchy quinoa. We had no room for dessert. So maybe next time we try the goat curry, get the quinoa salad again and get dessert! The service was great too. Attentive but not overbearing. The regular menu is quite expensive with the cheapest at $17 for appetizer and salad options and most expensive at a whooping $80. The waitress was taking our orders and what surprised me was with my co-worker ordered the pad see ew and the waitress asked her how spicy she wants it. I was aw shocked. I'm not a Thai food expert but I do know pad see ew is a noodles dish that's offers a sweet soy sauce flavor. Never served spicy. I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I'm not sure how this restaurant can justify the prices with the quality they are serving. Probably won't be back. Service was mediocre. Didn't offer to refill our waters. Parking is metered parking or paid lot.

My favorite part about this place is that their restroom is SO CLEAN (for little tokyo!!). Never felt so comfortable in a restroom in LA until here lol. We visited during a Sunday lunch and it was not busy at all. Plenty of tables were open. The katsu was also very nice and crunchy! The seafood pancake was also pretty good too, very hefty. Generally, portions are pretty huge so it's great we got to share everything. Overall, wonderful lunch here and 10/10 restrooms. Interior decor also very cute.

We noticed that they had a rice bowl lunch menu posted at the entrance. These come with an egg soup with a light broth. While the food didn't arrive very quickly, we still got seated in just a couple minutes. The restaurant was almost full with a lively ambience during noon on a Thursday. We shared sweet and spicy gangjung (Korean fried chicken) ($13.95), a seafood pancake ($29.95), and a kimchi pancake ($22.95). My favorite out of these shareable dishes was the Korean fried chicken; the flavor was delicious. The seafood pancake was adequate, but a few colleagues said that they've tried better renditions elsewhere. Portion sizes are large, so it's likely that you may leave with leftovers. I decided to get the garlic soy chicken rice bowl ($15.99) with a fried egg ($1). The flavor from the accompanying egg soup was rather forgettable. The chicken marinade was tasty, but it could've packed just a tad more flavor. I'd recommend putting gochujang. However, I enjoyed the juicy chicken and how the rice crisped at the bottom of the sizzling clay bowl. I thought the fried egg was tasty and worth the additional charge.
